Kensington Terrace was a proposed 56,000-square-foot (5,200 m2) mixed-use development project in the Kensington neighborhood of San Diego, California. The project was controversial. The controversy stemmed partly because of its size compared to the existing neighborhood buildings, and also due to neighborhood concerns regarding the impact on traffic and parking, and the demolition of two historically-authentic single-family houses. Due primarily to the downturn in the economy in 2008, the Kensington Terrace project was never built. Instead, beginning in 2014, a new project, named Kensington Commons, was constructed in its place. Kensington Commons has a reduced footprint at 32,000 SF, is three stories high, and has 34 apartments over 10,000 SF of commercial space.

The Diocese of San Diego is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Catholic Church in Southern California, United States. Its ecclesiastical territory includes all of San Diego and Imperial Counties in Southern California, with a Catholic population of approximately 1.4 million. The diocese is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

California Miramar University (CMU) is a private for-profit university in San Diego, California. The university offers degree programs through distance education and a combination of on-line and classroom (hybrid) delivery. It is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission.

East San Diego was an independent, short-lived city that existed from 1912 to 1923 in what is now the City Heights neighborhood of the city of San Diego, California. The town had its own city hall and police department. It had a population of about 4,000.The city of East San Diego called itself the "Golden Rule City" and enacted conservative laws. The city did not allow gambling or alcohol, and enforced a maximum speed of 25 mph on all city streets. However, an inability to generate enough tax revenue to support city services forced East San Diego to merge with the City of San Diego in 1923. Boundary Street is a lasting relic of the former border between the two cities.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace (locally called "OLP"), is a Catholic high school for young women started by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet (CSJ). OLP is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego. Though the school itself is Catholic, the student body represents different religious, racial and social backgrounds, and serves the communities of San Diego County and Tijuana, Mexico. Its local partner, or 'brother school', is Saint Augustine High School for young men, commonly called "Saints".

Fenton Parkway is a station on San Diego Trolley's Green Line. This street-level station has side platforms. It is located near Fenton Parkway and the San Diego River. The station is near a large apartment complex, several office parks, and Fenton Marketplace in the Mission Valley East neighborhood. This station opened on September 19, 2000, as an 'infill' station (i.e. it was not an original station when the line opened in 1997). As such, Fenton Parkway is the only infill station on the current Green Line. It was served by Blue Line trolleys until July 2005, when service between Old Town Transit Center and Mission San Diego (and points eastward) was replaced by Green Line upon its introduction in conjunction with the opening of the Mission Valley East extension.

Crazee Burger, also known as Tioli's Crazee Burger, is a hamburger restaurant in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego, California. It is known for its expansive menu, with burgers of exotic meats.

Stadium station is a temporarily closed San Diego Trolley stop on the Green Line. The elevated station has an island platform as well as side platforms. It is located in the under-construction San Diego State University Mission Valley campus. It was originally built in the parking lot of the former SDCCU Stadium. When the stadium was in operation the station was frequently used during major stadium event days. The large parking lots around the former stadium served as a massive park and ride facility. Previously known as the Qualcomm Stadium station, it was renamed after Qualcomm's naming rights to the stadium expired in June 2017. The area around the station is undergoing re-development into part of San Diego State University's campus and Snapdragon Stadium for the San Diego State Aztecs football team. Prior to July 2005, this station was served by the Blue Line until service between Old Town Transit Center and Mission San Diego was replaced by the Green Line upon its introduction in conjunction with the opening of the Mission Valley East extension. The station was closed on November 1, 2020, for 2 years until the new SDSU Snapdragon Stadium opens in 2022.

The Ray Street Arts District is an arts district in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego, California.

The University Heights Water Storage and Pumping Station Historic District is in the University Heights neighborhood of the City of San Diego, California. The historic district includes the North Park Water Tower, located at the intersection of Idaho Street and Howard Avenue in central San Diego. The water tower was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013 and was designated as a Local Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 2015.

Mission San Diego is a station on San Diego Trolley's Green Line. The street-level station has side platforms. It is located in the Grantville neighborhood near the Mission San Diego de Alcalá and National University's San Diego campus. From the station's opening in late 1997, this station was the former terminus for the Blue Line trolleys until the July 2005 introduction of the Green Line service, in conjunction with the opening of the Mission Valley East extension, pushed the Blue Line's terminus back to Old Town Transit Center.With the Blue Line's truncation, all Green Line trolleys now serve the former portion of the Blue Line from Old Town to this station and points eastward. (A system redesign on September 2, 2012, truncated the Blue Line's terminus farther to the America Plaza station and extended the Green Line's terminus from Old Town to 12th & Imperial Transit Center.)

Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) Flight 182 was a Boeing 727-214 commercial airliner, registration N533PS, that collided with a private Cessna 172 light aircraft, registration N7711G, over San Diego, California, at 9:01 am on Monday, September 25, 1978. It was Pacific Southwest Airlines' first fatal accident, and the deadliest air disaster in California history. Both aircraft crashed into North Park, a San Diego neighborhood. Flight 182 impacted just north of the intersection of Dwight and Nile streets, killing all 135 people aboard the aircraft and seven people on the ground in houses, including two children. The Cessna impacted Polk Avenue between 32nd and Iowa streets, killing the two on board. Nine others on the ground were injured and twenty-two homes were destroyed or damaged by the impact and debris.
