The church is led by Senior Pastor Ray Johnston, Teaching Pastor Curt Harlow and Andrew McCourt, and Senior Worship Pastor Lincoln Brewster. John Jackson, the former executive pastor at Bayside, became the president of William Jessup University on March 23, 2011. Bayside is one of the largest churches in the Sacramento metropolitan area. It is affiliated with the Evangelical Covenant Church.

The Maidu Museum & Historic Site is an interpretive center museum dedicated to public education about the Maidu peoples. The museum sits at an ancient site where Nisenan Maidu families lived for 3,000 years. Hundreds of bedrock mortar holes, petroglyphs on sandstone boulders, rock art, and a vast midden area are evidence of thousands of years of residence. The site has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1973. The site is unique in the presentation of Maidu life. The museum offers interpretive programs, exhibits, multi-media presentations, and special events.

The Maidu Regional Park is located in Roseville, California. This 152-acre park has a small museum and historic site. The grounds also consist of the Maidu Community Center, the Maidu Branch Library, and Veterns Memorial Rose Garden. Other features include a four-diamond softball complex, a five-field soccer complex, a batting cage, a skate park, a full basketball court, picnic areas and play equipment, and a bicycle and pedestrian path through the wooded area of the park where multiple artifacts from the Maidu Native American tribe have been found.

The population was 33,960 at the 2010 census, up from 26,705 at the 2000 census. It is located approximately 25 miles (40 km) northeast of Sacramento. The community is known for its rolling hills that offer the best views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, its foothills, and a rural environment in the middle of a growing metropolitan area. Secret Ravine is a perennial tributary of Miners Ravine which shortly thereafter runs into Dry Creek in Placer County, California. Its course lies within the cities of Rocklin, Loomis, and Roseville, as well as unincorporated parts of Placer County. It passes through the campus of Sierra College. Over its entire length the creek runs near the Interstate 80 freeway. It is an area becoming increasingly suburbanized. It was the site of placer mining operations during the California Gold Rush, and areas of tailings remain to this day. Later the drainage was a locale for granite quarrying.

Hidden Valley (formerly, Union House) is a housing development in an unincorporated area of Placer County, California, adjacent to Granite Bay. Hidden Valley is located 4.25 miles (6.8 km) east-southeast of Rocklin. It lies at an elevation of 436 feet (133 m).Hidden Valley was established in 1950 and consists of semi-rural housing lots surrounding 180 acres of pasture and small lakes. It was originally planned as a retirement community, due to its rural setting, but it has since become a bedroom community for the Sacramento metropolitan area. It was once informally called the "Aerojet enclave" for the large number of executives of the aerospace company who resided in the area.

The Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary (originally Folsom Zoo) is a zoo and animal sanctuary located in the city of Folsom, California, in the United States, which has been open since 1963. The facility differs from traditional zoos and is more like a sanctuary in the way the animals are acquired and the care they receive. Though the facility allows visitors like a traditional zoo, the animals are not bred, sold, or traded.The Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary is supported by Friends of the Folsom Zoo, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which helps by providing both funding and volunteers.
