J. Ruiz station

Juan Ruiz Street or shortened into J. Ruiz Street is a street located in San Juan, Philippines. It runs in a generally north-south orientation between the junction with A. Luna Street and the intersection with N. Domingo Street and connects the barangays Balong Bato and Salapan in San Juan. It is served by J. Ruiz station of the LRT Line 2. The street was named after one of the first 18 Katipuneros from San Juan that fought and died in the First Battle of Katipunan in Pinaglabanan which is also located in San Juan.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, formally known as the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Filipino: Basilika at Pambansang Dambana ng Mahal na Birhen ng Bundok ng Carmelo), is a Roman Catholic minor basilica and national shrine located in Barangay Mariana, Quezon City, Metro Manila in the Philippines. Dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the church was built by the Carmelites from 1954 to 1964. It was declared a parish in 1975, and a national shrine in 2015. In 2019, it was declared a minor basilica, making it the fifteenth minor basilica in the country.The church celebrates its liturgical feast every July 16. It is under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Cubao.

The Center for Asian Culinary Studies (CACS) is a non-stock, non-profit culinary school located in San Juan, Metro Manila, and in Davao City, Philippines. It was established in 2000 in Manila by Gene Gonzalez and in 2007, in Davao City. It is in consortium with the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. It is the first culinary school in the Philippines to earn a Level IV accreditation in their Professional Program granted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). It is the only culinary school with this certificate in education.

Pinaglabanan Memorial Shrine (Filipino: Pang-alaalang Dambana ng Pinaglabanan) is a Filipino national shrine and park along Pinaglabanan Street in the city of San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines. This was built to commemorate the heroism of the Katipuneros who laid siege to Polvorín de Almacen, an armoury belonging to the Spanish Colonial Government, becoming the first battle of the Philippine Revolution against the Spanish Empire.

Gilmore station is a station on the Manila Light Rail Transit System Line 2 in the Philippines located near Gilmore Avenue, Quezon City in Mariana, Quezon City. It is named after the nearby Gilmore Avenue, which in turn is named for Eugene Allen Gilmore, Vice Governor-General of the Philippines from 1922 to 1929 who twice served as acting Governor-General of the Philippines.The station is the sixth station for trains headed to Antipolo and the eighth station for trains headed to Recto. It is one of the many elevated stations on the line.

The Filoil Flying V Centre, formerly Filoil Flying V Arena and The Arena in San Juan, also known as the Entertainment and Recreational Arena of the People (initials taken after former mayor and president Joseph Estrada's nickname 'Erap'), is an indoor sporting arena located in Santolan Road Bonny Serrano Avenue, Corazon de Jesus, San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines. The Centre plays host to the basketball games of the Philippine Basketball League, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the University Athletic Association of the Philippines since 2009, the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup, Philippine Collegiate Champions League, Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, as well as the volleyball games of the Premier Volleyball League. It is also one of the secondary home court of Alab Pilipinas in the ASEAN Basketball League. It is also known as the "Volleyball Central" of the Philippines, as the Centre served as the main venue for volleyball tournaments such as UAAP, NCAA, Philippine Super Liga and Premier Volleyball League. The Center was also used as a main venue for the San Juan Mayor's Cup, a basketball and volleyball tournament for the San Juan government employees. Filoil Flying V entered in a naming rights agreement with the San Juan city government, changing the arena's name into "Filoil Flying V Arena" (renamed into Filoil Flying V Centre in 2016). It was the first such agreement in the Philippines since the San Andres Gym in Malate, Manila lent naming rights to FedEx's sister company Mail And More in 2000. Currently, it is one of two sporting venues in the Philippines to named after an external naming rights partner, the other being the Smart Araneta Coliseum. In 2015, the San Juan government signed a 15-year deal with Homegrown Olympic Management Enterprises (Filoil Flying V Sports), the organizer of the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup that which be helmed the day-by-day operations and management of the centre. Among the HOME's plans is to convert the Centre into a complete events venue and add a new structure for restaurants and business establishments.
