Buttermilk Bay is a neighborhood located in the Plymouth, Massachusetts village of South Plymouth. Buttermilk Bay is a small neighborhood located between Massachusetts Route 25, Red Brook Road/Head of the Bay Road, and Buzzards Bay. The Buttermilk Bay neighborhood is located off Red Brook Road/Head of the Bay Road just on the outskirts of Buzzards Bay, a village of Bourne, Massachusetts. Buttermilk Bay is the southernmost point of Plymouth, Massachusetts. The Buttermilk Bay neighborhood begins at the intersection of Red Brook Road/Head of the Bay Road and Packard Street, which is located on the borders of the towns of Plymouth, Wareham, and Bourne, and stretches northward all the way to the edge of Massachusetts Route 25.

Buzzards Bay is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Bourne in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. The population was 3,859 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous of the five CDPs in Bourne.

Buzzards Bay station is a train station located on Main Street in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. The site also contains an interlocking tower. The Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge is adjacent. Buzzards Bay is an intermediate stop on the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority's CapeFLYER summer weekend passenger service. It is also the westernmost stop of Cape Cod Central Railroad tourist service. Extension of MBTA Commuter Rail service on the Middleborough/Lakeville Line to the station has been proposed on several occasions, but never enacted.

Sandy Pond is an 18-acre (73,000 m2) pond in Wareham, Massachusetts. The pond is located east of Spectacle Pond and Mill Pond, and south of Glen Charlie Pond.

Massachusetts Maritime Academy (Mass Maritime, MMA) is a public university in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, focused on maritime-related fields. It was established in 1891 and is the second oldest state maritime academy in the United States. Originally established to graduate deck and engineering officers for the U.S. Merchant Marine, the academy has since expanded its curriculum. Though not required, some graduates go on to serve in active and reserve components of the U.S. Armed Forces. The academy operates a training ship, the USTS Kennedy.

The National Marine Life Center is an independent, non-profit marine animal hospital, science, and education center based in Bourne, Massachusetts. Their mission is to rehabilitate for release stranded sea turtles, seals, dolphins, porpoises, and small whales, and to advance scientific knowledge and education in marine wildlife and conservation.

The Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge (also known as the Buzzards Bay Railroad Bridge), a vertical lift bridge in Bourne, Massachusetts near Buzzards Bay, carries railroad traffic across the Cape Cod Canal, connecting Cape Cod with the mainland.

Congregation Beth Israel (Hebrew: בית ישראל) is an Orthodox congregation located in Onset, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod. It is famous as the summer synagogue of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik and some of his students from the 1950s until the mid-1960s, when his wife died. The clapboard building was originally a furniture store, before it was converted to a synagogue in 1948.Initially a destination for Jewish vacationers from Boston, Beth Israel now attracts Jews from Toronto, Montreal, and New York City from a "wide cross-section of Orthodoxy", including "Young Israel, Chabad, Chasidim from Montreal, Charedim, Carlebach Chasidim, very-left wing (Edah) and 'Conservadox'." The synagogue maintains three daily minyans throughout the summer and through the High Holidays.

Water Wizz, touted as "Cape Cod's only water park", is a family-owned water park located in East Wareham, Massachusetts and attracting about 100,000 visitors yearly. This park is not to be confused with Water Wizz in Westerly, Rhode Island, as the two are separately owned.

White Island Shores is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Wareham in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States, along the shores of White Island Pond. The population was 2,106 at the 2010 census.

Glen Charlie Pond is a 185-acre (0.75 km2) warm water pond in Wareham, Massachusetts. The maximum depth of the pond is 12 feet (3.7 m). The pond is part of the Agawam River. The pond is located southwest of White Island Shores, northeast of Spectacle Pond, north of Sandy Pond, and approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Route 25. Exit 2 off Route 25 eastbound provides direct access along Glen Charlie Road. The pond is developed with summer and year-round homes mostly along the southern and eastern shores. Public access is possible through town-owned land at the gas pipeline crossing. This pond is popular for both warm-water fishing and ice fishing.

Onset Island is a small, private association owned island located at the western end of the Cape Cod Canal in the Town of Wareham, near Onset, Massachusetts. No part of this private island is accessible to the general public without prior permission from a homeowner.One must be a homeowner, a guest of a homeowner, or someone who has rented a cottage from a homeowner to visit the island. Onset Island is only accessible via a small number of registered private boats owned by the island's homeowners. Use of the island's private docks is limited to those who have paid the relevant association fees, or by private agreement. Approximately fifty families have homes on the island.
