Southwick, Wiltshire

Southwick Court is a Grade II* listed moated medieval manor house at the centre of a system of fields and water meadows that lie between the town of Trowbridge and the village of Southwick in Wiltshire, England. It has remained a private residence under a succession of owners for at least 800 years. The current house dates from the late 16th century, but its gatehouse is late 15th century. Both were built on the site of an older manor house, dating back to the 13th century or before. Nothing remains of the original house, though the current building sits within the same footprint.

The secondary road from Bradford-on-Avon to Rode (Somerset) crosses the A366 from Trowbridge to Farleigh Hungerford near the centre of the parish, and most of the dwellings are near this junction.

Brook in the parish of Heywood, north of Westbury in Wiltshire, England, is an historic estate. It was the seat of Robert Willoughby, 1st Baron Willoughby de Broke (c. 1452 – 1502), KG, an important supporter of King Henry VII, whose title unusually incorporates the name of his seat, in order to differentiate him from his ancestors Barons Willoughby of Eresby, seated at Eresby Manor near Spilsby in Lincolnshire. A medieval wing survives of the mansion house known as Brook Hall, a Grade I listed building which stands near the Biss Brook.

St. Augustine's Catholic College is an independent Catholic secondary school in the town of Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England. The school has a sixth form for years 12 and 13. The school opened on its site in the western suburbs of Trowbridge in 1967. Previously a voluntary aided school, it has been an academy since September 2011. When inspected by Ofsted in November 2021, the school was assessed as 'requires improvement' in all categories. This was its first inspection after conversion to an academy, since the academy inherited an 'outstanding' rating from its predecessor and was therefore exempt from inspection for a while. The 2021 report stated that pupils feel safe, attend punctually and behave well in lessons.Notable alumni include the actors Will Thorp and Sam Otto, and the world champion athlete Danny Talbot.

North Bradley is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, between Trowbridge and Westbury. The village is about 1.75 miles (2.8 km) south of Trowbridge town centre. The parish includes most of the village of Yarnbrook, and the hamlets of Brokerswood, Cutteridge and Drynham.

West Wiltshire was a local government district in Wiltshire, England, formed on 1 April 1974, further to the Local Government Act 1972, as a merger of the former urban districts of Bradford-on-Avon, Melksham, Trowbridge, Warminster and Westbury, along with Bradford and Melksham Rural District and the Warminster and Westbury Rural District.There were five towns in the district, Bradford on Avon, Melksham, Trowbridge, Warminster and Westbury, each surrounded by rural parishes. About two-thirds of the district's population was in its five towns. The district council was based at purpose-built offices in Bradley Road, Trowbridge. It was abolished on 1 April 2009 as part of the 2009 structural changes to local government in England, when its functions were taken over by the new Wiltshire Council unitary authority.

Holy Trinity Church, Trowbridge is a Grade II* listed 19th-century Church of England church in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England, which had parish church status until 2011. It is commonly known in Trowbridge as 'The Church on the Roundabout', as it is encircled by a one-way traffic system.

Rudge is a hamlet in the civil parish of Beckington in the Mendip district of Somerset, England. Its nearest town is Frome.

Trowbridge railway station is a railway station on the Wessex Main Line serving the town of Trowbridge in Wiltshire, England. The station is 24 miles (39 km) south east of Bristol Temple Meads and is managed by Great Western Railway. Originally opened by the Wilts, Somerset and Weymouth Railway in 1848 as part of their Thingley Junction to Westbury line, it gained a link to Bath and Bristol nine years later thanks to the Great Western Railway. This is now the main line, as the original route to Chippenham has been singled and reduced to secondary status.
