Vancouver International Airport (IATA: YVR, ICAO: CYVR) is an international airport located on Sea Island in Richmond, British Columbia, serving the city of Vancouver and the Lower Mainland region. It is located 12 km (7.5 mi) from Downtown Vancouver. It is the second busiest airport in Canada by passenger traffic (19.0 million), behind Toronto Pearson International Airport, and the second busiest airport in the Pacific Northwest region, behind Seattle–Tacoma International Airport. As a trans-Pacific hub, the airport has more direct flights to China than any other airport in North America or Europe. It is a hub for Air Canada and WestJet, and an operating base for Air Transat. Vancouver International Airport is one of eight Canadian airports that have US Border Pre-clearance facilities. It is also one of the few major international airports to have a terminal for scheduled floatplanes. The airport has won several notable international best airport awards. It won the Skytrax Best North American Airport award in 2007 and 2010 through 2022, for a record of 12 consecutive years. The airport also made the top 10 list of airports in the world for the first time in 2012, rated at 9th (2012), 8th (2013), and 9th (2014) overall. It is the only North American airport included in the top 10 for 2013 and 2014. YVR also retains the distinction of Best Canadian Airport in the regional results.Vancouver International Airport is located on Sea Island and is managed by Vancouver Airport Authority, a non-profit organization.

YVR–Airport is an elevated station on the Canada Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The station is located at Vancouver International Airport's main terminal in Richmond, British Columbia, and is one of the outbound termini of the Canada Line, the other being Richmond–Brighouse. The Vancouver International Airport Authority contributed up to $300 million toward the airport branch of the Canada Line, which includes YVR–Airport. Like Richmond–Brighouse station, YVR–Airport only has a single track.

Iona Island in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada was formerly an island, but is now a peninsula physically connected to Sea Island via a causeway and Ferguson Road. Iona is home to a primary sewage treatment plant (located in the middle), an animal refuge and a park (Iona Beach Regional Park). The Iona Sewage Plant is located near the centre of the island and has tours for the public. Iona Beach Regional Park also features a beach adjacent to wildlife from the nearby animal refuge. The park is managed by Metro Vancouver. Iona Island is located almost adjacent to the Vancouver International Airport. The park is mostly visited by birders, as the sewage ponds have attracted many rare shorebirds such as Spoon-billed Sandpiper, Great Knot, and Red-necked Stint.

J.N. Burnett Secondary School is a secondary school located at 5011 Granville Ave., Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. The current principal is Michael Jaswal, and there are currently over 1000 students enrolled. The school is named after John Napier Burnett, a pioneer. Burnett's badminton program, having placed 2nd at the 2001-02 British Columbia badminton provincials, Champions in 2002–03, 2nd in 2007–08, and 2nd in 2009–10.Burnett's tennis program placed in the Top 2 of Richmond High Schools consistently since 2000. Between 2003 and 2006, Burnett was 1st in RSSAA and consistently placed in the Top 6 and the BCSSA. As of May 2018, Burnett holds the top ranking in the Richmond school district. Vancouver International Water Airport (TC LID: CAM9) is located adjacent to Vancouver International Airport in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. It is classified as an airport and as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). CBSA officers at this airport can handle general aviation aircraft only, with no more than 15 passengers.The aerodrome has two docks, located at 4760 Inglis Drive, one operated by Harbour Air and the other by Seair Seaplanes. Floatplanes can be fairly easily transferred to Vancouver International Airport via a ramp and gate.

RCAF Station Sea Island was a World War II, British Commonwealth Air Training Plan station located near Vancouver, British Columbia.

Hugh Boyd Secondary School (H.B.S.S. or HBSS), commonly known as Hugh Boyd or Boyd is a public, co-educational secondary school part of School District 38 Richmond (SD38), serving and educating 599 (2022-2023) students from grades 8 to 12. Hugh Boyd Secondary is the only school in Richmond that offers the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. The school is located on the western side of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, at 9200 No. 1 Road, stretching as far north to Francis Road and as far south to Pendleton Road. Hugh Boyd consists of the main school building, along with 3 parking lots (2 located at the front and back of the school along with 1 located far north on Francis Road), 2 soccer fields (Boyd Oval and Boyd South) and an artificial turf field with 4 sections (white, yellow, red, blue). Boyd also has 2 small extra buildings to the northwest with them being its Scout Hall and the Boyd Oval Field House. To the east, the school is conjoined with the West Richmond Community Centre with the West Richmond Pitch & Putt Golf Course being located just further east. Hugh Boyd Secondary was named after Hugh Boyd, the first reeve of the Township of Richmond (now the City of Richmond). Hugh Boyd Secondary opened in 1960 originally as a junior secondary school serving only Grades 8-10 before it expanded in 1996 switching into a junior-senior secondary school serving students Grades 8–12. As of September 2020, the school had completed its needed near-CAD$11m seismic upgrades; replacing the school's previous tech wing with an addition of a new tech wing, library and other minor upgrades towards the building. Its student population ranges each year, from approximately 500 to 800 students, most of whom come from the surrounding Seafair neighbourhood. Hugh Boyd's school catchment area, as of 2022, consists of the 7 elementary schools of Alfred B. Dixon, James Gilmore, John G. Diefenbaker, Lord Byng, Manoah Steves, Quilchena, and R.M. Grauer. Hugh Boyd's school colours are black and gold, and the school's sports team name are the Hugh Boyd Trojans (commonly known as Trojans) along with the school's mascot being Tommy Trojan. Hugh Boyd offers sports programs such as Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Ultimate (Co-ed), Track & Field, Golf, and Cross-country Running.

Deering Island is a small island in Vancouver, British Columbia, located in the North Arm of the Fraser River. It is mostly residential and is connected to the rest of Vancouver by the Deering Island Bridge. Residential development on the island, mainly consisting of luxury homes, began in 1988 and continued into the 1990s. The island was previously a shipyard owned by B.C. Packers. The island is also home to a city park, Deering Island Park.

Sea Island (hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓: sqʷsaθən) is an island in the Fraser River estuary in the city of Richmond, British Columbia. It is located south of the city of Vancouver and north and west of Lulu Island. Sea Island is the home to Vancouver International Airport (YVR), a nature conservation area, and a permanent resident population of 814, most of which live in the neighbourhood of Burkeville. A small part of the island is under the administration of the Musqueam Indian Band.

Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club is a private golf club in Canada, located on Southwest Marine Drive in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The CP Women's Open (French: Open féminin du Canada) is a women's professional golf tournament managed by Golf Canada. It has been Canada's national championship tournament since its founding in 1973, and is an official event on the LPGA Tour.

École Secondaire Robert A. McMath Secondary School is a high school located on Garry Street in the Steveston neighbourhood of Richmond, British Columbia. Named in honour of Robert Alexander McMath (1915-1996). McMath served with the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada during the Second World War. In 1951, McMath was elected as a school trustee in the city of Richmond, and from 1957 until his retirement in 1993 he served on Richmond's Municipal Council.The school opened in 1998 and serves grades 8 to 12. It is a bilingual school providing a French immersion program. The school is fed into by the nearby elementary schools of Lord Byng Elementary School, Westwind Elementary School, Manoah Steves Elementary School, John G. Diefenbaker Elementary School, Dixon Elementary School and Homma Elementary School as well as all French immersion students from 15 other elementary schools in western Richmond. As of 2023, the current principal is Mr. J Johnstone and the vice principals are Ms. A Naidu and Mr. T Ngo. The school's sports teams are all called the McMath Wildcats. McMath uses the 2 semester system with PLT (Personal Learning Time)
