The Mary E. Surratt Boarding House in Washington, D.C. was the site of meetings of conspirators to kidnap and subsequently to assassinate U.S. President Abraham Lincoln. It was operated as a boarding house by Mary Surratt from September 1864 to April 1865.

Washington, D.C.'s Chinatown is a small, historic area of Downtown Washington, D.C. along H and I Streets between 5th and 8th Streets, Northwest. The area was once home to thousands of Chinese immigrants, but fewer than 300 remained in 2017. The current neighborhood was the second in Washington to be called “Chinatown” since 1931. Originally, the first Chinatown was built in the Federal Triangle on the south side of Pennsylvania Avenue some time after 1851, but was moved to the H Street area when a new federal building was built there. In 1986, a Chinese gate was built over H Street at 7th Street. By 1997, prominent landmarks such as the Capital One Arena, a sports and entertainment arena, had gentrified the area. The neighborhood is served by the Gallery Place station of the Washington Metro.

Gallery Place is a small urban power center in Downtown Washington, D.C. in D.C.'s Chinatown and also in the F Street shopping district, the traditional downtown shopping and entertainment area. It is adjacent to Capital One Arena and the Gallery Place/Chinatown station of the Washington Metro rail is underneath the center. It measures 660,000 sq ft (61,000 m2) of which 250,000 sq ft (23,000 m2) is retail space; there is 2,200,000 sq ft (200,000 m2) of office space and 192 condominiums. It opened in 2004. The only remaining anchor left is Regal Cinemas. Former big-box store anchors include Bed, Bath & Beyond and Urban Outfitters. On December 6, 2019, it was announced that Bed Bath & Beyond would shutter.On December 28, 2020, Urban Outfitters closed permanently, leaving Regal Cinemas as the only anchor left.On January 19, 2023, it was announced that Regal Cinemas would close as part of a plan to close 39 theaters nationwide, which will leave the mall with no anchors left. However, as of September 2023, the theater is still open, offering regular screens as well as 70mm and 4DX showings.

Milian Park is a neighborhood-named park located on National Park Service property at north of Massachusetts Avenue at I Street, NW in the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. It is named after an inventor and scholar from Spain, Michael Austin Milian who died nearby in 1886.

It is in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington's northwest-east deanery, and is known for formerly celebrating the traditional Tridentine Mass.

Gallery Place is a Washington Metro station in Washington, D.C., United States, on the Green, Red and Yellow Lines. It is one of the 4 major transfer points, a transfer station between the Red Line on the upper level and the Green/Yellow Lines on the lower level. Gallery Place is located in Northwest Washington, with entrances at 7th and F, 7th and H, and 9th and G Streets. The station's only street elevator is north of F Street on the east side of 7th Street. The station, which is beneath Capital One Arena, serves that arena and the surrounding Chinatown and Penn Quarter neighborhoods in downtown Washington. The station is located very close to Metro Center, such that the lights of one are visible down the tunnel from the other.

The Mount Vernon Triangle Historic District is a historic district in the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood of Washington, D.C., consisting of 22 contributing residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, and one known archaeological site. The area was once a working class neighborhood for mostly German immigrants and home to semi-industrial enterprises such as a dairy and an automobile repair shop. The Northern Liberty Market that once stood on the corner of 5th Street and K Street NW played a large role in spurring development in the surrounding area as did the streetcars on Massachusetts Avenue and New York Avenue. The historic district was added to the District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites in 2005 and the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. The 22 buildings in the district were constructed between 1869 and 1946. Two of the buildings included in the historic designation process, 470 and 472 K Street NW, collapsed in 2014. Many of the buildings in the district have undergone a restoration process. Prather's Alley, which was once lined with dwellings, stables, and industrial businesses, is being redeveloped into a place for community residents to gather.
