Koroška Bela (pronounced [kɔˈɾóːʃka ˈbéːla]; German: Kärntner Vellach) is a settlement in the Municipality of Jesenice in northwestern Slovenia. The village has long been a center of iron mining and processing; until recently a majority of its inhabitants were employed in the steel industry.

Lipce (pronounced [ˈliːptsɛ]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Jesenice in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Its name is a contracted plural diminutive of the Slovene word lipa 'linden tree'.

Slovenski Javornik (pronounced [slɔˈʋeːnski ˈjaːʋɔɾnik]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Jesenice in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Commonly known simply as Javornik, the place name is derived from the Slovene word javor 'maple'. Primarily a residential community, it also contains the bulk of the remaining steel mill facilities in the Municipality of Jesenice. The settlement is located directly southeast of the core of Jesenice, on the north bank of the Sava River. Its neighbor to the northwest is the village of Koroška Bela.

Javornik Falls (Slovene: Javorniški slapovi) is a series of three waterfalls near the settlement of Javorniški Rovt, part of the municipality of Jesenice in northern Slovenia. The individually unnamed falls occur in the upper course of Javornik Creek, at an elevation of approximately 950 m in the foothills of the Karawanks. They vary from 5 to 10 m in height, and are accessible to hikers from the Gajšek Trail (Slovene: Gajškova pot) leading from the Kres recreation area above the village of Koroška Bela to the Pristava Lodge.

Javorniški Rovt (pronounced [ˈjaːʋɔɾniʃki ˈɾoːu̯t]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Jesenice in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It is located in the foothills of the Karawanks, above its namesake settlement of Slovenski Javornik (which occupies the floor of the Sava Valley.)

The Pristava House (Slovene: Dom Pristava) is a manor house in the foothills of the Karawanks Alpine range in the Municipality of Jesenice in northern Slovenia. It is located at an elevation of 975 metres (3,199 ft), above the settlement of Javorniški Rovt. It is a popular excursion point. The house was built in 1641 or 1647 as a mountain chalet for the local ironworks-owning lower nobility and has recently been renovated. At the beginning of the 18th century, the building belonged to Karl von Zois, a nobleman and Enlightenment botanist who established the second botanical park in Carniola at the site. The park still exists and features a variety of local and exotic trees. The Pristava House features an inn, a restaurant, and an open-air dance-floor. The surrounding meadows are popular with picnickers, and are well known for their profusion of wild daffodils in the late springtime. Nearby Javornik Falls, a series of three waterfalls in the upper course of Javornik Creek, is a popular hiking destination. The house is accessible by road from the village of Koroška Bela or on foot via the Gajšek Trail.

Ajdna (1064 m) is a peak in the Karawanks in the Municipality of Žirovnica in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Access to it is easiest from the village of Potoki in the neighbouring Municipality of Jesenice. A settlement from late Antiquity has been found just below the summit and evidence shows that it was probably inhabited much earlier. Excavations began in 1976. Most evidence is from the period immediately after the collapse of the Roman Empire (476 AD), when it seems locals moved to the safety of the peak from the valley below during a period of upheaval and migration of various Germanic and Slavic tribes through the region. With its location high above the valley with a natural precipitous barrier towards the south and an excellent view up and down the Upper Sava Valley, Ajdna was an ideal location for a defendable settlement. A number of other high-elevation settlements from the period between the 4th and 6th centuries have been found in the area of Slovenia, but Ajdna lies at the highest elevation of all. Remains of a total of 25 buildings have been excavated, including an early Christian temple. In a nearby building eleven graves have been excavated and the potsherds, weapons, and jewellery found are on display in the museum in Kranj. It is believed this was not the main burial ground which has so far not been discovered. The remains of the religious building have been conserved, roofed over and are open to visitors.Ajdna has been declared an archaeological monument of national importance by the Slovene government.

The Jesenice Mosque (Slovene: Džamija Jesenice, Bosnian: Mesdžid Jesenice) is a Sunni mosque located in the town of Jesenice, Municipality of Jesenice, Slovenia, on Viktor Kejžar street, no 19. It is the center of the Jesenice jamaat. Many Muslims were among the wave of migrants from other Yugoslav republics attracted to Jesenice by steel-industry jobs in the 1960s and 1970s. In the 2002 census, 18% of the population of Jesenice were listed as Muslim, the highest percentage of any single municipality in Slovenia. The first Islamic observances in Jesenice took place in July 1969, when Mawlid was celebrated in a temporary hall in the railway station. The current mosque was bought in 1988, and its first governing community board established in October 1989. The building was renovated to its present appearance in 1992, when an 80 cm minaret was also added. The Jesenice jamaat serves the area of Jesenice, Bled, Radovljica, Žirovnica, Kranjska Gora, Bohinjska Bistrica and Lesce with a total Muslim population of over 5,000, mostly hailing from Western Bosnia, North Macedonia and Kosovo. A library, a classroom, an ablution fountain and the Imam's offices and quarters are also part of the complex.
