Javorniški Rovt

The Pristava House (Slovene: Dom Pristava) is a manor house in the foothills of the Karawanks Alpine range in the Municipality of Jesenice in northern Slovenia. It is located at an elevation of 975 metres (3,199 ft), above the settlement of Javorniški Rovt. It is a popular excursion point. The house was built in 1641 or 1647 as a mountain chalet for the local ironworks-owning lower nobility and has recently been renovated. At the beginning of the 18th century, the building belonged to Karl von Zois, a nobleman and Enlightenment botanist who established the second botanical park in Carniola at the site. The park still exists and features a variety of local and exotic trees. The Pristava House features an inn, a restaurant, and an open-air dance-floor. The surrounding meadows are popular with picnickers, and are well known for their profusion of wild daffodils in the late springtime. Nearby Javornik Falls, a series of three waterfalls in the upper course of Javornik Creek, is a popular hiking destination. The house is accessible by road from the village of Koroška Bela or on foot via the Gajšek Trail.

Javornik Falls (Slovene: Javorniški slapovi) is a series of three waterfalls near the settlement of Javorniški Rovt, part of the municipality of Jesenice in northern Slovenia. The individually unnamed falls occur in the upper course of Javornik Creek, at an elevation of approximately 950 m in the foothills of the Karawanks. They vary from 5 to 10 m in height, and are accessible to hikers from the Gajšek Trail (Slovene: Gajškova pot) leading from the Kres recreation area above the village of Koroška Bela to the Pristava Lodge.

Koroška Bela (pronounced [kɔˈɾóːʃka ˈbéːla]; German: Kärntner Vellach) is a settlement in the Municipality of Jesenice in northwestern Slovenia. The village has long been a center of iron mining and processing; until recently a majority of its inhabitants were employed in the steel industry.

Španov vrh is a peak in the Western Karawanks above the village of Planina pod Golico, Slovenia, at an elevation of 1,361 metres (4,465 ft). Like Golica, it is a popular destination for tourists during the flowering of wild white daffodils, swathes of which cover its pastures in late April and early May. It is visited throughout the year as an easy peak to reach with panoramic views of the Julian Alps and Golica and the surrounding peaks in the Karawanks. The Španov vrh ski slope is popular in the winter with the starting point of the single-seat chairlift at 981 metres (3,219 ft) in Planina pod Golico, a mid station at Črni vrh at 1,184 metres (3,885 ft) and an end station right at the peak of Španov vrh. The ski route winds down the slopes of Španov vrh. The ski area is suitable for both recreational and more demanding skiers. Since 1967, a carnival ski event called Svinjska glava is organized every year before Lent. The chairlift only runs during the winter period when there is enough snow for skiing. There is a convenient parking area and some overnight accommodation available in Planina pod Golico.

Sts. Ingenuin and Albuin Church (Slovene: Cerkev sv. Ingenuina in sv. Albuina) is a Catholic church located in the village of Koroška Bela, in the municipality of Jesenice in northwestern Slovenia. The church is dedicated to St. Ingenuin and St. Albuin, bishops of Säben Abbey from the 6th and 10th centuries respectively.

Slovenski Javornik (pronounced [slɔˈʋeːnski ˈjaːʋɔɾnik]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Jesenice in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Commonly known simply as Javornik, the place name is derived from the Slovene word javor 'maple'. Primarily a residential community, it also contains the bulk of the remaining steel mill facilities in the Municipality of Jesenice. The settlement is located directly southeast of the core of Jesenice, on the north bank of the Sava River. Its neighbor to the northwest is the village of Koroška Bela.

Podkočna (pronounced [pɔˈtkoːtʃna]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Jesenice in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. A railway halt of the Bohinj Railway, the Kočna Rail Halt (Slovene: Železniško postajališče Kočna), is located in the village.

The Jesenice Mosque (Slovene: Džamija Jesenice, Bosnian: Mesdžid Jesenice) is a Sunni mosque located in the town of Jesenice, Municipality of Jesenice, Slovenia, on Viktor Kejžar street, no 19. It is the center of the Jesenice jamaat. Many Muslims were among the wave of migrants from other Yugoslav republics attracted to Jesenice by steel-industry jobs in the 1960s and 1970s. In the 2002 census, 18% of the population of Jesenice were listed as Muslim, the highest percentage of any single municipality in Slovenia. The first Islamic observances in Jesenice took place in July 1969, when Mawlid was celebrated in a temporary hall in the railway station. The current mosque was bought in 1988, and its first governing community board established in October 1989. The building was renovated to its present appearance in 1992, when an 80 cm minaret was also added. The Jesenice jamaat serves the area of Jesenice, Bled, Radovljica, Žirovnica, Kranjska Gora, Bohinjska Bistrica and Lesce with a total Muslim population of over 5,000, mostly hailing from Western Bosnia, North Macedonia and Kosovo. A library, a classroom, an ablution fountain and the Imam's offices and quarters are also part of the complex.

Lipce (pronounced [ˈliːptsɛ]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Jesenice in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Its name is a contracted plural diminutive of the Slovene word lipa 'linden tree'.

Jesenice (Slovene: [jɛsɛˈniːtsɛ] , German: Aßling) is the tenth-largest town in Slovenia, located in the traditional province of Upper Carniola. It is the seat of the Municipality of Jesenice spanning the southern side of the Karawanks, along Slovenia's border with Austria to the north. Renowned as a mining town, its ironworks and metallurgy industries being the driving force of the town's historical development.

Planina pod Golico (pronounced [plaˈnìːna pɔd ɡɔˈlíːtsɔ]; German: Alpen) is a mountain village in the Municipality of Jesenice, in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It lies on the southern foot of Mount Golica in the Karawanks range, at an elevation of 954 metres (3,130 ft).

The Jesenice Upper Sava Museum (Slovene: Gornjesavski muzej Jesenice) is a regional museum based in the town of Jesenice and the neighboring Municipality of Kranjska Gora, both in northwestern Slovenia. The museum's name refers to the general area it documents, the upper Sava Dolinka Valley. Its holdings include two restored historic farmhouses, the archives of the KID company, and display spaces in the two surviving "ironworks castles" (of the original four), manors built in the area during the 16th and early 17th centuries by the owners of local iron-mining and iron-processing works. The museum was established in its present form in 1992, although several of its constituent facilities operated independently beforehand.
