Nork-Marash (Armenian: Նորք-Մարաշ վարչական շրջան, romanized: Nor’-Marash varch’akan shrjan), is one of the 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. It is located to the east of the city centre. It is bordered by the Kentron District form the west and the north, Nor Nork from the east and Erebuni from the south. The name of the district is derived from the Nork neighbourhood of Yerevan and the ancient major of Marash in Republic of Turkey. The district is unofficially divided into smaller neighborhoods such as Nork and Nor Marash. The district was formed in 1996 through the merger of Nork and Nor Marash neighborhoods. It has an area of 4 km² and a population of 12,049 (2011 census).

Poqr Tagh (Armenian: Փոքր Թաղ) or Old Town, is a historical neighbourhood in the Armenian city Meghri located on a hill in its western side and overlooking the Mets Tagh. The name of the neighbourhood is translated from Armenian as "Small neighbourhood".

Nork (Armenian: Նորք), sometimes called as Hin Nork (Old Nork), is a neighbourhood in the Armenian capital Yerevan. It is located in the Nork-Marash District.

Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium (Armenian: Վազգեն Սարգսյանի անվան Հանրապետական մարզադաշտ), also known as the Republican Stadium (Armenian: Հանրապետական մարզադաշտ, romanized: Hanrapetakan Marzadasht), is an all-seater multi-use stadium located on 65 Vardanants street, in the Armenian capital Yerevan. The stadium was built between 1933 and 1935. It was officially opened in 1935 as Dinamo Stadium. Further developments were implemented in 1953, after the end of World War II. It is mainly used for association football and is the home ground of the Armenia national football team. The capacity of the stadium is 14,403 seats.

Football Club Pyunik Yerevan (Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ Փյունիկ Երևան), commonly known as Pyunik ("Phoenix"), is an Armenian professional sports club based in the Kentron neighbourhood of Yerevan. Pyunik is mostly known for its professional football team which, since its creation in 1992, has always played in the Armenian Premier League, becoming the most successful team of Armenia in number of official titles, with 31 won to date. Internationally, Pyunik has yet to win an international title, with the closest result being a bronze place finish in the 2006 Commonwealth of Independent States Cup. Pyunik's domestic success usually qualifies the team for UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League qualifying rounds. Pyunik is also known to be one of the most popular football clubs in Armenia, along with Urartu, Shirak and Ararat. Pyunik has always had a fierce rivalry with Ararat, as both clubs are considered to be the most successful clubs in Armenia, the latter due to its Soviet accomplishments. Both clubs are also the two most popular in the country and favorites within the Armenian Diaspora. Pyunik also shares a rivalry with Urartu which began when Urartu relocated from Abovyan to Yerevan in 2001, and became the third largest team in the city. The Pyunik-Urartu rivalry is seen as one of the biggest clashes in Armenian football. Pyunik's home stadium is the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium, which is also home to the Armenia national football team. The youth academy has produced many Armenian internationals such as Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Robert Arzumanyan, Karlen Mkrtchyan, Edgar Manucharyan, Varazdat Haroyan and Gevorg Ghazaryan, many who have played or are playing for top European clubs.

The Nork-Marash Medical Center is a teaching hospital and biomedical research facility in Yerevan, Armenia, focused on cardiac care. It is led by Dr. Hrayr (Hagop) Hovagimian, a Syrian-Armenian cardiothoracic surgeon from the University of Aleppo and St. Vincent's Hospital, Portland.

Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) (Armenian: Խաչատուր Աբովյանի անվան հայկական պետական մանկավարժական համալսարան, ՀՊՄՀ), is a state university and higher education institution based in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Founded in 1922, the university is specialized in pedagogy and the preparation of teaching staff.Named after the 19th-century Armenian writer Khachatur Abovian, the current rector of the university is professor Srbuhi Gevorgyan.

Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport (Armenian: Հայաստանի ֆիզիկական կուլտուրայի և սպորտի պետական ինստիտուտ) is a higher educational institution institute, located in Yerevan, Armenia. It was founded in 1945 and prepares coached, sport journalists, and specialists in the field of health improving physical culture kinesiology and adaptive physical culture. The graduates are awarded a diploma, which is a state-authorized document asserting the higher education completion for state agencies.

Saritagh (Armenian: Սարիթաղ), is a neighbourhood in the Erebuni District of Yerevan, Armenia.

The Circular Park (Armenian: Օղակաձև զբոսայգի); also known as the Youth Park, is a public park in the Kentron district of the Armenian capital Yerevan. It starts with the Cathedral of Saint Gregory at the south on Tigran Mets street, and ends up with the Poplavok lake at the north near Mashtots Avenue. The park lies along Khanjyan, Yervand Kochar, Alex Manoogian, Moskovian and Isahakyan streets, forming a half-circular shaped park around the eastern part of downtown Yerevan. The park has an approximate length of 2500 metres and an average width of 120 metres.

Yerevan State University (YSU; Armenian: Երևանի պետական համալսարան, ԵՊՀ, Yerevani petakan hamalsaran), also simply University of Yerevan, is the oldest continuously operating public university in Armenia. Founded in 1919, it is the largest university in the country. It is thus informally known as Armenia's "mother university" (Մայր բուհ, Mayr buh). Of its 3,150 employees, 1,190 comprise the teaching staff, which includes 25 academicians, 130 professors, 700 docents (associate professors), and 360 assistant lecturers. The university has 400 researchers, 1,350 post-graduate students, and 8,500 undergraduates, including 300 students from abroad.Instruction is in Armenian, but instruction in Russian or English for foreign students is available as needed. The academic year is from September 1 through June 30. According to University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), it was the top-ranked university in Armenia and the 954th in the world in 2010, of 20,000 institutions included in the list. Yerevan State University was listed among the 1,000 best universities of the world according to the QS World University Ranking 2022.YSU is a full member of the International Association of Universities, European University Association (EUA), the Association of Eurasian Universities, the Russian Union of Rectors, the Association of Universities of the Countries of the Black Sea Region, and the International Association of Presidents of Universities.

Tigran Petrosian Chess House (Armenian: Տիգրան Պետրոսյանի անվան Շախմատի Տուն), officially the Central House of Chess-player named after Tigran Petrosian (Armenian: Տիգրան Պետրոսյանի անվան Շախմատիստի Կենտրոնական Տուն), is the centre of the sport of chess in Yerevan, Armenia. It was opened in 1970. In 1984, it was renamed after the former world chess champion Tigran Petrosian. The architect of the triangular-shaped building was Zhanna Meshcheryakova. Petrosian laid the first stone in the foundation of the building. Currently, the director of the centre is Hrachik Tavadyan. The chess house is located on Khanjyan street, within the Circular Park of the Kentron district. It is home to the Yerevan chess school operating since 1971. According to many visitors, the chess house is one of the best chess centers in the world. Many great international events have been regularly held in the building, including the Tigran Petrosian Memorial. It is also the venue of the yearly domestic championship. The Tigran Petrosian Chess House publishes the "Shakhmatayin Hayastan" weekly (Armenian: Շախմատային Հայաստան, meaning Chess in Armenia) since 1972. In 1989, the statue of the champion Tigran Petrosian, created by the Armenian sculptor Ara Shiraz, was erected in front of the chess house. In 2002, the Chess Academy of Armenia was opened. The chess house is also serving as the home of the Chess Federation of Armenia. The president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, is the current head of the Chess Federation of Armenia. The building of the chess house is listed among the historic and cultural monuments of the city of Yerevan.
