Perry Barr Stadium

Birmingham City Business School is a school within Birmingham City University based on the university's City North campus in Perry Barr, Birmingham. It is part of the Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences. The Business School offers courses in Accountancy, Advertising, Business, Business Law, Business Information Technology, Business Psychology, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, Information Communication Technology, Management, Marketing, Multimedia Development, Public Relations and Software Engineering. It formerly offered courses in Computing, although these are now part of the university's Faculty of Technology, Engineering and the Environment. The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants has awarded Birmingham City University Business School Platinum Level Status for its training until 2010. This means that their ACCA courses are delivered to the highest possible level according to industry standards. The Business School was the first place to publicise contract cheating, where students put work out to tender and suppliers bid to produce work for those students.

Perry Barr Railway Station is a railway station in Perry Barr, Birmingham, England, and is one of the oldest continuously operated railway station sites in the world, having first opened in 1837. The station has been rebuilt several times, including electrification of the line in the 1960s, and most recently in 2021-2022.

Perry Bridge, also known as the Zig Zag Bridge, is a bridge over the River Tame in Perry Barr, Birmingham, England. Built in 1711, it is a Grade II listed building and a Scheduled monument.The bridge is constructed of red sandstone in a packhorse style. It is believed that it is the bridge built by order of the Staffordshire Quarter Sessions, held in 1709, to take the place of a 'wood horse bridge' (Perry Barr was in Staffordshire until 1928). It is said to have been built by Sir Henry Gough of nearby Perry Hall. A crossing has been on the spot since Roman times as this was the exact spot where Ryknild Street (today's Aldridge Road) crossed the river, giving rise to the local placename, "Holford". A stream, "Holbrook", joins the river adjacent to the bridge. Written evidence of this crossing date back to as early as 1509 when there was mention of a field, named "Bridge Meadow", being located nearby. The bridge is 50 feet (15 m) in length and 13 feet (4 m) wide. The parapets on each side rise nearly 3 feet (1 m). It is now open only to pedestrian traffic. It appears in the badge of Handsworth Grammar School. A replacement bridge, in Art Deco style, built in 1932, stands alongside, and carries vehicular traffic on the route.

The Birchfield Ladbroke Stadium, also known as the old Perry Barr Greyhound Stadium or Alexander Sports Stadium was a former greyhound racing and Motorcycle speedway stadium in Birchfield in the north of Birmingham, England. It is not to be confused with the current Perry Barr Stadium on the other side of the Walsall Road and accessed from Aldridge Road.

Wellington Road was a football ground in the Perry Barr area of Birmingham, England. It was the home ground of Aston Villa from 1876 until 1897.

Broadway Academy (formerly Broadway School) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Perry Barr area of Birmingham, England. Originally known as Broadway School, the school building was rebuilt in 2010 as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme. The new building was officially opened by the Prince Edward, Duke of Kent in 2011. The school converted to academy status in July 2013, and was renamed Broadway Academy.

Perry Barr Urban District, or Urban District of Perry Barr was an area of England for local government administrative purposes. As such, it was administered locally by Perry Barr Urban District Council. It took its name from the included hamlet of Perry Barr, which was until then in the parish of Handsworth. It was created in 1894 as a result of the Local Government Act 1894, as a subdivision of the administrative county of Staffordshire, and existed until 1928, when it largely became part of Birmingham, and so also part of the county of Warwickshire. At that time, small parts of the district were granted to the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield, also in Warwickshire, and to West Bromwich (remaining in Staffordshire until 1974). In 1974, Birmingham was taken out of Warwickshire and became part of the West Midlands county, as was Sutton Coldfield, which became part of Birmingham at the same time. The district included areas which today are known as: Perry Barr (Old) Oscott Queslett Hamstead Handsworth (parts of) Great Barr (parts of)The area is still considered to be in the Staffordshire vice-county for wildlife recording purposes.

Perry Barr is a suburban area in north Birmingham, England. It is also the name of a council constituency, managed by its own district committee. Birmingham Perry Barr is also a parliamentary constituency; its Member of Parliament is Khalid Mahmood. The constituency includes the smaller Perry Barr ward, and the wards of Handsworth Wood, Lozells and East Handsworth, and Oscott, which each elect three councillors to Birmingham City Council.

Birmingham Perry Barr is a constituency in the West Midlands, represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2001 by Khalid Mahmood of the Labour Party.

Continental Star Football Club is a football club based in the Perry Barr area of Birmingham, West Midlands, England. They are currently members of the Midland League Division Three and play at the Hub on Holford Drive.
