Andingmen (simplified Chinese: 安定门; traditional Chinese: 安定門; pinyin: Āndìngmén; lit. 'Gate of Stability') was a gate in Beijing's Ming-era city wall. The gate was torn down along with the city wall in the 1960s. Andingmen is now a place name. Where the gate once stood is now Andingmen Bridge, a roundabout overpass on the northern 2nd Ring Road. The overpass links Andingmen Inner Street which runs south of the overpass inside the walled city and Andingmen Outer Street which runs north away from the wall of the city. Bus and trolleybus stops are nearby, along with Andingmen Station, Line 2 of the Beijing Subway. Ju'er Hutong (simplified Chinese: 菊儿胡同; traditional Chinese: 菊兒衚衕; pinyin: Jú'ér Hútòng) is a popular neighborhood for expats to live in. It is located in the hutongs southwest of Jiaodaokou, and just east of Shichahai and Gulou (the Drum Tower). Yongkang Hutong (Chinese: 永康胡同; pinyin: Yǒngkáng Hútòng) is another popular residential location for expats in Beijing.

Nanluoguxiang (Chinese: 南锣鼓巷; pinyin: nánluógǔxiàng) is a narrow alley that gives its name to an old part of the Beijing city centre with traditional architecture both new and old. The neighborhood contains many typical narrow streets known as hutong. It is located in the Dongcheng district.The alley itself is approximately 800 metres (2,600 ft) long, running from East Gulou Street in the north to Di'anmen East Street in the south.

Andeli Beijie station (Chinese: 安德里北街站; pinyin: Āndélǐ Běijiē zhàn; lit. 'Andeli North Street station') is a station on Line 8 of the Beijing Subway. It was opened on December 26, 2015.

Andingmen Bridge (Chinese: 安定门桥; pinyin: Āndìngménqiáo) is a roundabout interchange bridge located on the 2nd Ring Road in Beijing. It sits on the demolished Andingmen. The Andingmen Outer Street passes directly over the 2nd Ring Road. It sits directly south of Anzhen Bridge (安贞桥). Because the Ring Road is often a traffic bottleneck, the northern stretch between Andingmen and Xiaojie Bridge is often jammed, particularly in the lead to the turn-off for the Airport Expressway. The same goes for part of the road around the Deshengmen Bridge (德胜门桥) and all of the western side.

The Drum Tower of Beijing, or Gulou (traditional Chinese: 鼓樓; simplified Chinese: 鼓楼; pinyin: Gǔlóu), is situated at the northern end of the central axis of the Inner City to the north of Di'anmen Street. Originally built for musical reasons, it was later used to announce the time and is now a tourist attraction. The Bell Tower of Beijing, or Zhonglou (traditional Chinese: 鐘樓; simplified Chinese: 钟楼; pinyin: Zhōnglóu), stands closely behind the drum tower. Together, the Bell Tower and Drum Tower have panoramic views over central Beijing. Before the modern era, both towers dominated the Beijing skyline.

The Prince Chun Mansion (simplified Chinese: 醇亲王府; traditional Chinese: 醇親王府; pinyin: Chún qīn wángfǔ), also known as the Northern Mansion (北府, Běifǔ), is a large residence in the siheyuan style with lavish private garden located near the Shichahai neighborhood in central Beijing. The grounds had been part of a villa built by Mingju, an official in the court of the Kangxi Emperor. It would later be seized by Heshen, a favorite of Emperor Qianlong, and following Heshen's purge and execution in 1799, it would be bestowed on Yongxing, Prince Cheng, by his brother, the Emperor Jiaqing, and the mansion was renovated. The mansion would change hands several times, eventually ending up as the residence of a minor Qing official named Yusu. In 1888, was granted to Yixuan, Prince Chun, the biological father of the Emperor Guangxu, by his sister-in-law, Empress Dowager Cixi. In 1891, the First Prince Chun died, and his title and the mansion was inherited by his second surviving son, Zaifeng. It was at the mansion, in 1906, Puyi, the last Qing emperor, was born to Zaifeng. Prince Chun would serve as regent for Puyi, from Puyi's accession in 1908, until the overthrow of the dynasty in 1912. Despite the collapse of the Qing Dynasty, Chun would be allowed to stay in the mansion, and he died there in 1951. Its garden became the residence of Soong Ching-ling, the widow of Sun Yat-sen, between 1963 and her death in 1981; it is now a public museum as her former residence open to visitors.

On August 9, 2008 in the People's Republic of China, two American tourists and their Chinese tour guide were stabbed at the historic Beijing Drum Tower; one of the tourists was killed. The assailant then committed suicide by jumping from the tower. The incident occurred during the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The incident has been described as isolated since attacks on foreigners while visiting China are rare.

The Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling (simplified Chinese: 宋庆龄故居; traditional Chinese: 宋慶齡故居; pinyin: Sòng Qìnglíng Gùjū) is a museum in the Shichahai area of Beijing, China, and once was the last residence of Soong Ching-ling, the wife of Sun Yat-sen and later Vice-President and Honorary President of the People's Republic of China in 1981. The museum opened in 1982, was renovated in 2009, and is dedicated to her memory.

Shichahai (simplified Chinese: 什刹海站; traditional Chinese: 什剎海站; pinyin: Shíchàhǎi Zhàn) is a station on Line 8 of the Beijing Subway. The station opened on December 28, 2013. The station is named after Shichahai, a scenic area in Beijing.

Qingnianhu Park (Chinese: 青年湖; pinyin: Qīngnián Hú; literally "Youth Lake") is a city park in Beijing, situated in Dongcheng District, west of Andingmenwai Street. The park was built in 1960 and covers an area of 170,000 square metres (1,800,000 sq ft). Qingnianhu, or Youth Lake, accounts for about a third of the park's area. The lake was dug by teenage volunteers organized by the local government in 1958. Public transportation can be used to get to the park, which lies just outside Ditan station served by bus lines 18, 104, and 108. An entrance fee of 2 yuan is required as of 2012.

Guanghua Temple (simplified Chinese: 广化寺; traditional Chinese: 廣化寺; pinyin: Guǎnghuā Sì) is a Buddhist temple located at 31 Ya'er Hutong, north of Shichahai in the Xicheng District of Beijing, China. Founded during the Yuan dynasty (1271–1368), it is one of Beijing's most renowned Buddhist temples.
