Chaoyangmen station (Beijing Subway)

Chaoyangmen (traditional Chinese: 朝陽門; simplified Chinese: 朝阳门; pinyin: Cháoyángmén; Manchu:ᡧᡠᠨᠪᡝᠠᠯᡳᡥᠠᡩᡠᡴᠠ; Möllendorff:šun be aliha duka) was a gate in the former city wall of Beijing. It is now a transportation node and a district border in Beijing. It is located in the Dongcheng District of northeastern central Beijing. Running from north to south is the eastern 2nd Ring Road. The Beijing Subway (Line 6 and Line 2) has a stop at Chaoyangmen.

Galaxy SOHO (simplified Chinese: 银河SOHO; traditional Chinese: 銀河SOHO; pinyin: Yínhé SOHO) is an urban complex building located in Beijing, China. Built between 2009 and 2012, it is the first of three buildings designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid located in Beijing, along with Wangjing SOHO and Leeza SOHO. The building is located in the southwest corner of Chaoyangmen Bridge in the Second Ring Road of Beijing. The complex features a curvilinear design consisting of four asymmetric continuous structures. It covers an area of 330,000 m2. The parametric design of the building was inspired by classical Chinese courtyards. The complex offers shops, offices and entertainment facilities.

Chaowai Subdisrict (Chinese: 朝外街道; pinyin: Cháowài Jiēdào) is a subdistrict inside Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. It is bordering Sanlitun and Dongzhimen Subdistricts to the north, Hujialou Subdistrict to the east, Jianwai Subdistrict to the south, Dongsi, Chaoyangmen and Jianguomen Subdistricts to the west. Tt has a total population of 33,212 as of the 2020 census.The name of this subdistrict refers to the area to the east (i.e. "outside" of) Chaoyangmen Gate of Ming city wall.

The Temple of the Eastern Peak in Beijing (simplified Chinese: 北京东岳庙; traditional Chinese: 北京東嶽廟; pinyin: Běijīng Dōngyuè Miào) is a Taoist temple in the Chaowai area, Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. The temple is dedicated to the Great Deity of the Eastern Peak (simplified Chinese: 东岳大帝; traditional Chinese: 東嶽大帝; pinyin: Dōngyuèdàdì). "Eastern Peak" is the cosmological name of Mount Tai, the easternmost and holiest of the Five Sacred Mountains of China. Founded during the Yuan dynasty, the Eastern Peak Temple is the largest temple of Zhengyi Taoism in Beijing and protected as a national cultural spot. The temple also hosts the Beijing Folk Customs Museum.

The People's Literature Publishing House (simplified Chinese: 人民文学出版社; traditional Chinese: 人民文學出版社; pinyin: Rénmín Wénxué Chūbǎnshè) is a large-scale publishing house in China. It was established in March 1951, and was attached to the China Publishing Group (Chinese: 中国出版集团公司). It is known for scholarly publications, editions of classical Chinese literature, dictionaries, and high-quality paperbacks. Its head office is at Chaoyangmen 116, Beijing. Its current director is Pan Kaixiong (Chinese: 潘凯雄) and the editor-in-chief is Guan Shiguang (Chinese: 管士光).

The Workers' Gymnasium (official name) is an indoor arena located west of the Workers' Stadium in Beijing, China. It was inaugurated in 1961 for the 26th World Table Tennis Championships. It hosted the boxing events at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the Judo events at the 2008 Summer Paralympics. It is one of 11 Beijing-based venues to be renovated and upgraded for the Olympics. The arena has a seating capacity of 13,000.

Dongzhimen Subdistrict (Chinese: 东直门街道; pinyin: dōngzhímén jiēdào) is a district on the northeastern side of Dongcheng District, Beijing, China. As of 2020, the subdistrict's total population is 46,712.The subdistrict got its current name from Dongzhimen (Chinese: 东直门; lit. 'East Straight Gate'), a gate of the Beijing city wall that used to exist in this area.

Chaoyang District (Chinese: 朝阳区; pinyin: cháoyángqū) is an urban district of Beijing. It borders the districts of Shunyi to the northeast, Tongzhou to the east and southeast, Daxing to the south, Fengtai to the southwest, Dongcheng, Xicheng, and Haidian to the west, and Changping to the northwest. Chaoyang is home to the majority of Beijing's many foreign embassies, the well-known Sanlitun bar street, as well as Beijing's growing central business district. The Olympic Green, built for the 2008 Summer Olympics, is also in Chaoyang. Chaoyang extends west to Chaoyangmen on the eastern 2nd Ring Road, and nearly as far east as the Ximazhuang toll station on the Jingtong Expressway. Within the urban area of Beijing, it occupies 470.8 square kilometres (181.8 sq mi), making it the central city's largest district, with Haidian second. As of November 2020, Chaoyang had a total population of 3,452,460, making it the most populous district in Beijing. The district has jurisdiction over 24 subdistrict offices and 19 area offices. Chaoyang is also home to Silk Street, Bainaohui Computer Shopping Mall, Alien Street (老番街市场), and many other market areas, shopping malls, and restaurant strips.

The Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Beijing is the diplomatic mission of North Korea to China. It is located in Chaoyang, Beijing. In addition to its embassy in Beijing, North Korea also has consulates in Dandong, Shenyang and Hong Kong. It is one of the largest embassies of North Korea and has dormitories, North Korean grocery shops, a currency exchange, an eyeglasses store, and a fruit and vegetable shop. The current ambassador is Ri Ryong-nam.

The State Council Information Office (SCIO; Chinese: 国务院新闻办公室; pinyin: Guówùyuàn Xīnwén Bàngōngshì; lit. 'State Council News Office') is the chief information office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China and an external name of the Central Propaganda Department of the Chinese Communist Party. Historically, SCIO was the external name of the Office of External Propaganda (OEP) of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) under an arrangement termed "one institution with two names." In 2014, OEP was absorbed into the Central Propaganda Department, turning SCIO into an external nameplate.
