Bremen High School (Georgia)

The Bremen City School District is a public school district in Haralson County, Georgia, United States, based in Bremen. It serves Bremen and the 1/3 of its students who reside outside of the city limits.

It serves the communities of Buchanan, Tallapoosa, and Waco. The Haralson County portion of Temple is in the district. As of 2020 no residents lived in that portion of Temple.

The Haralson County Courthouse, located on Courthouse Square in Buchanan, Georgia, is a historic Queen Anne style building built in 1891–92. It was designed by Alexander C. Bruce and Thomas H. Morgan, Bruce & Morgan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The courthouse served as the county courthouse from 1892 to 1972; a modern courthouse less than a mile away has since replaced it. The old courthouse building currently serves as a museum and the location of the Haralson County Historical Society.

John Tanner Park, formerly known as John Tanner State Park, is a 138 acres (56 ha) Carroll County park located between Carrollton and Mount Zion. The park is named after John Tanner, a local businessman who operated the park from 1954 to 1971. He operated it as Tanner's Beach. The park itself is well known for its water-friendly recreation. It contains two lakes, one 12 acres (4.9 ha) and the other 16 acres (6.5 ha), and the largest sand beach of any Georgia state park. There is also a walking and nature trail for land-dwellers. It became managed by Carroll County in 2010 and was purchased by Carroll County in 2013.
