Midtown Tower

Tokyo Midtown (東京ミッドタウン, Tōkyō Middotaun) is a 569,000-square-meter (6.1 million sq ft) mixed-use development in Akasaka, Tokyo, Japan. Completed in March 2007, the $3 billion (¥370 billion) project includes office, residential, commercial, hotel, and leisure space, and the new quarters of the Suntory Museum of Art. When completed, the Midtown Tower was the tallest building in Tokyo. The main building complex is surrounded by Hinokicho Park, a 10 acre public park containing green areas along with works of art. The site takes up 78,000 square meters (19.4 acres) previously occupied by the Japan Defense Agency in Akasaka area of Minato, along Gaien Higashi and close to Roppongi Station, and less than a kilometer (half a mile) from the similarly scaled Roppongi Hills complex.

The Suntory Museum of Art (サントリー 美術館, Santorī Bijutsukan) is an arts museum located in Tokyo Midtown, Roppongi, Tokyo. It is owned by the Suntory corporation. The collection theme of the art works is "Art in life" and they mainly have Japanese antiques.

21_21 Design Sight is a museum in Roppongi in Minato, Tokyo, Japan, which opened in 2007. The museum, a design museum, was created by architect Tadao Ando and fashion designer Issey Miyake. "The idea was to create not only a museum that shows exhibits," says Ando, "but also a place for researching the potentiality of design as an element that enriches our daily life, a place that fosters the public's interest in design by arousing in them different sights and perspectives on how we can view the world and the objects surrounding us." The building, designed by Ando, is on the edge of the park area, and features 1,700 square meters (18,300 sq ft) of floor space, including two galleries and an attached cafe run by chef and restaurateur Takamasa Uetake. The split-level concrete structure includes a hand-sanded steel roof (whose design was inspired by Issey Miyake's A-POC ("A Piece of Cloth") concept) and 14-meter (46 ft) long glass panels. The current directors are Japanese designers Issey Miyake, Taku Satoh, and Naoto Fukasawa.

Velfarre (ヴェルファーレ, Verufāre) was a disco located in the Roppongi district of Tokyo, Japan. Velfarre was the self-professed "largest disco in Asia" with a capacity of 1,500 people, with three floors above ground and three floors below; owned by Tetsuya Komuro and Avex Trax. Velfarre was known for Trance, Eurobeat, Techno, Para Para, and Disco related events. Velfarre held concerts for Avex Trax artists, and was able to be rented for private events.

The Japan-Netherlands Institute (日蘭学会) is a research institute founded in 1975 to carry out research on historical Dutch-Japanese relations and to foster and promote modern academic and cultural exchange. In 1986, they received the Japan Foundation's special prize for contributions to cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and other countries.

Roppongi Station (六本木駅, Roppongi-eki) is a subway station in Minato, Tokyo, Japan, operated jointly by Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway.

Hikawa Shrine (氷川神社, Hikawa-jinja) is a Shinto shrine in Akasaka, Tokyo, Japan. In Tokyo, it is the best known of the 59 branch shrines of the Hikawa jinja, which was designated as the chief Shinto shrine (ichinomiya) for the former Musashi province.

Nogi Shrine (乃木神社, Nogi-jinja) was established on November 1, 1923 and dedicated to General Nogi Maresuke (63) and his wife Nogi Shizuko (53) after their death on September 13, 1912. The Tokyo Mayor, Baron Yoshio Sakatani, took the initiative to organise the Chūō Nogi Kai (Central Nogi Association) to build a shrine to the couple within their residence. It is located in Tokyo, Japan. The shrine compound includes an example of Western architecture constructed during the Meiji period. It is famous as the site where General Nogi and his wife chose to kill themselves after the Meiji Emperor's death. The shrine was opened soon after this event but was destroyed during the 1945 air raids on May 25, 1945. The present shrine was built in 1962.There, Nogi Maresuke (乃木希典, 乃木希典大人之命) is celebrated as a Shinto kami. Nihonryori Ryugin (Kanji: 日本料理龍吟 lit. "Japanese cuisine singing dragon") is a Michelin 3-star fusion cuisine restaurant located in Hibiya, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. The chef is Seiji Yamamoto (山本 征治).

Don Quijote Co., Ltd. (株式会社ドン・キホーテ, Kabushiki gaisha Don Kihōte), also known as Don Don Donki, is a Japanese discount chain store most commonly found in the Asia-Pacific region. As of 2021, it has over 160 locations throughout Japan, 13 in Singapore, 8 in Hong Kong, 3 in Hawaii and Malaysia, 5 (1 opening in 2022) in Bangkok, 2 in Taiwan, and 1 in Macau.It carries a wide range of products, from basic groceries to electronics and clothing. The store is well known in Japan and Singapore and is often referred to by its shortened name Donki (ドンキ). Distinctly, Don Quijote tends to keep very late hours for Japanese retailing (to 3 or 5am, or even 24 hours) and it packs its goods from ceiling to floor in a distinct merchandising strategy.

The National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (政策研究大学院大学, Seisaku Kenkyū Daigakuin Daigaku), or GRIPS, is an elite, highly selective research graduate school located in Minato, Tokyo. Funded by the Japanese Government, it has the status of national university. It is also one of Asia's leading think tanks of policy scholars and social scientists focused on policy studies. It offers programs in security and international affairs, diplomacy, international development studies, economics, political science, disaster studies, and science and technology policies, among others.

The National Art Center (国立新美術館, Kokuritsu Shin-Bijutsukan) (NACT) is a museum in Roppongi, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. A joint project of the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the National Museums Independent Administrative Institution, it stands on a site formerly occupied by a research facility of the University of Tokyo. The building has been designed by Kisho Kurokawa. It is one of the largest exhibition spaces in the country. Access is from Nogizaka Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line. Unlike Japan's other national art museums, NACT is an 'empty museum', without a collection, permanent display, and curators. Like Kunsthalle in German-speaking regions, it accommodates temporary exhibitions sponsored and curated by other organizations. The policy has been successful. In its first fiscal year in 2007, it had 69 exhibitions organized by arts groups and 10 organized by NACT. Its Monet exhibition, held between 7 April and 2 July 2007, was the second most visited exhibition of the year, not only in Japan but in the world.Its graphic visual identity was developed by graphic designer Kashiwa Sato of Tokyo-based Samurai Inc.
