The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal commemorative obelisk is an 8-foot (2.4 m) marble obelisk erected in 1850 in Washington, D.C., to mark the completion of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal to Cumberland, Maryland. It stands on the northwest corner of the Wisconsin Avenue Bridge over the canal in Washington's Georgetown neighborhood.

Education and outreach programs include the Blues Alley Youth Orchestra and Blues Alley Jazz Summer Camp.

The City Tavern Club is a private club in the Georgetown area of Washington, D.C., United States. It is housed in the City Tavern, one of the oldest buildings and the last remaining Federal-period tavern in the city.

Grace Episcopal Church, built in 1867, is an historic Episcopal church located at 1041 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Historically known as Grace Protestant Episcopal Church, it was added under that name to the National Register of Historic Places on May 6, 1971. It is also known as Mission Church for Canal Boatmen. Grace Church is an active parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. The Rev. John Graham is the current rector.

The Farmers and Mechanics Bank is a historic building in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Constructed between 1921 and 1922, the bank was first the headquarters of the Farmers and Mechanics National Bank. Soon thereafter, it became known as the Farmers and Mechanics Branch of Riggs National Bank. In 2005, the building became a branch of PNC bank.

The Vigilant Firehouse is a historic building in the Georgetown section of Washington, D.C. located at 1066 Wisconsin Ave., NW, just north of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal and the Canal Monument. The Vigilant Fire Company was organized in 1817 and this firehouse was built in 1844, making it the oldest extant firehouse in the District of Columbia. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.Engine Company 5 was organized as a paid company on April 1, 1867 in this building as "Henry Addison Engine 5." In November 1883 Engine Company 5 moved around the corner to 3210 M Street, NW and the old firehouse was used for manufacturing. There are several stone markers on the site including one placed in 1869 to "Bush the Old Fire Dog."

Originally an office building known as the Canal Building, it was constructed in 1963, and was the first major new building constructed in Georgetown in 50 years. The structure was purchased by two local real estate development companies in 2008 and converted to a hotel. The renovation won multiple awards. The hotel, branded as and managed by Capella Hotels and Resorts, opened in 2013 as the Cappella Hotel. The developers sold the property to Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, which rebranded the hotel as the Rosewood Washington, D.C in 2016. The hotel has 55 accommodations in total, including 6 townhouses, 12 suites and 37 standard guest rooms. The hotel has about 42,000 square feet (3,900 m2) of interior space.The hotel offers dining concepts by Wolfgang Puck, including CUT D.C. and CUT Bar and Lounge, which serve as exciting evolutions of his acclaimed culinary concept and draw on the region's finest farms and fisheries to showcase the variety of the Mid-Atlantic.
