Northampton Academy is a mixed secondary school and sixth form in Northampton, Northamptonshire for students aged 11 to 18. Since September 2004, it has been an Academy, part of United Learning, a subsidiary of the United Church Schools Trust (UCST). It includes STEM provision as well as Elite Sports Academies in both football and netball. The School moved from their old site utilizing both Lings Upper and Emanuel Middle school sites into their new, state of the art site in January 2006, where they have been located ever since.

Weston Favell Academy is a school in Northampton, England that caters for pupils aged 11 to 18. The academy was called Weston Favell Upper School prior to its takeover by the Greenwood Dale Foundation Trust (GDFT) on 1 September 2011.

Weston Favell is an area and former civil parish near the eastern end of Northampton, now in the parish of Northampton, in the West Northamptonshire district, in the ceremonial county of Northamptonshire, England.

Billing is a civil parish in eastern Northampton, in the West Northamptonshire district, in the ceremonial county of Northamptonshire, England. It covers the Great Billing, Little Billing, Ecton Brook and Bellinge areas. It is geographically the largest area of Northampton. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 8,642, decreasing at the 2011 census to 8,457. Billing consists of four estates, with each estate constituting a ward of the parish. Great Billing and Little Billing were developed around the existing villages; Bellinge (or Middle Ward) and Ecton Brook were created as new communities. Billing is accessible by the A45 westward to Northampton which runs along the south side of Billing and is accessed through the Lumbertubs Way Interchange. Billing Aquadrome, a large leisure centre including lakes, a fair and also a caravan site which is home to over 2,000 people. Billing Aquadrome has recently taken over Northampton Balloon Festival which had previously for a number of years been situated at Racecourse Park in the Town Centre. There is a contrast of housing within the Billing ward with large houses dotted around Great Billing and Little Billing keeping the traditional 'village feel' as when both were villages. On the other side there is Bellinge and Ecton Brook; estates built in the 1970s and 80s as new towns to house the overspill of London and other areas which are council estates. Bellinge in particular had suffered from serious problems in the 1990s and became one of the most crime ridden estates in England suffering from drug dealing and vandalism until the local council demolished a series of flats which stood on what is now Billingmead Square. The estate is now much improved and does not suffer the serious problems it had once encountered.

Northampton College is a further education college in Northampton, England, which opened in 1973, following building work which started in 1970. The college's main campus is at Booth Lane which provides almost all courses offered, and later expanded to include its Daventry campus after merging with Daventry Tertiary College in August 2004, and its Lower Mounts campus after its facility in the town centre was extended in 2010. The Booth Lane campus has just undergone a massive redevelopment, reopening for study in 2012. The college is one of the largest further education colleges in the South Midlands, with around 7,000 full-time and part-time students.

Lings Wood is a 20.1 hectare Local Nature Reserve in eastern Northampton. It is owned by Northampton Borough Council and managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.Frogs, newts, damselflies and dragonflies breed in this nature reserve, which has woodland, ponds, scrub and grassland. There are plantations of sweet chestnut and douglas fir, but in some areas native woodland is regenerating naturally.There is access from Lings Way.

Abington Meadows is a 9.6-hectare (24-acre) nature reserve in Northampton. It is owned by Northamptonshire County Council and managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.This is marshy grassland which has diverse wildlife. 421 species of invertebrates have been recorded, and flora include great burnet, purple loosestrife and the nationally rare pennyroyal. There are birds such as snipe.There is access from Weston Mill Lane and the Nene Way footpath.

Billing Hall was a manor house in Billing, Northamptonshire, England. Records of the manor, the predecessor to Great Billing Hall, date back to the 12th century. It was originally owned by the Barry family and Baron Dundalk built it in 1629. It became the county seat of the Earls of Thomond, descendants of Brian Boru, King of Ireland in 1002. With the arrival of the Elwes family in 1779 the history of Great Billing became inextricably linked to them. Perhaps the Hall's most famous resident was Gervase Elwes, the English tenor, who died in a rail accident in Boston, USA in 1921.

The Northampton Balloon Festival is an annual hot air balloon festival held in Northampton, England. The original festival was held in The Racecourse and managed by the (now defunct) Borough Council, and took place over a Friday, Saturday and Sunday in mid-August. The main features of the festival were the twice-daily hot air balloon lifts and a balloon glow, but other attractions included trade stalls, live music and arena entertainment.

Abington Vale is an area of Northampton in Northamptonshire, England. Abington Vale lies just to the north of the A45 road and the River Nene; Abington Vale is about 2 miles (3.2 km) north-east from the centre of Northampton. To the south of Abington Vale is the Nene Valley Gravel Pits which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) as well as being a Special Protection Area. To the east is Billing Aquadrome.There was an old school called Abington vale middle school nearby that opened in 1970. It closed in 2006 for an unknown reason.

Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church or Our Lady's Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Great Billing, Northamptonshire, England. It was built in 1878 and founded by the descendants of John Elwes at Billing Hall in the Romanesque Revival style. It is located on the High Street in Billing. Since 2006, it has been the Diocesan Shrine to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour.
