Weston Favell

Weston Favell Academy is a school in Northampton, England that caters for pupils aged 11 to 18. The academy was called Weston Favell Upper School prior to its takeover by the Greenwood Dale Foundation Trust (GDFT) on 1 September 2011.

Northampton College is a further education college in Northampton, England, which opened in 1973, following building work which started in 1970. The college's main campus is at Booth Lane which provides almost all courses offered, and later expanded to include its Daventry campus after merging with Daventry Tertiary College in August 2004, and its Lower Mounts campus after its facility in the town centre was extended in 2010. The Booth Lane campus has just undergone a massive redevelopment, reopening for study in 2012. The college is one of the largest further education colleges in the South Midlands, with around 7,000 full-time and part-time students.

Abington Meadows is a 9.6-hectare (24-acre) nature reserve in Northampton. It is owned by Northamptonshire County Council and managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.This is marshy grassland which has diverse wildlife. 421 species of invertebrates have been recorded, and flora include great burnet, purple loosestrife and the nationally rare pennyroyal. There are birds such as snipe.There is access from Weston Mill Lane and the Nene Way footpath.

Abington Vale is an area of Northampton in Northamptonshire, England. Abington Vale lies just to the north of the A45 road and the River Nene; Abington Vale is about 2 miles (3.2 km) north-east from the centre of Northampton. To the south of Abington Vale is the Nene Valley Gravel Pits which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) as well as being a Special Protection Area. To the east is Billing Aquadrome.There was an old school called Abington vale middle school nearby that opened in 1970. It closed in 2006 for an unknown reason.

Lings Forum is a leisure centre located in the suburbs of Northampton, England. It is annexed to Weston Favell Shopping Centre and Northampton Academy. The forum has a gym, swimming-pool, sporting arena and a one screen cinema.

Northampton Academy is a mixed secondary school and sixth form in Northampton, Northamptonshire for students aged 11 to 18. Since September 2004, it has been an Academy, part of United Learning, a subsidiary of the United Church Schools Trust (UCST). It includes STEM provision as well as Elite Sports Academies in both football and netball. The School moved from their old site utilizing both Lings Upper and Emanuel Middle school sites into their new, state of the art site in January 2006, where they have been located ever since.

The park was given to the town by the Wantage family in the 19th century. The area known as Abington became part of the borough of Northampton in the late 19th century as the town expanded. Its close location to Abington Park causes this to be a highly sought-after residential area. Abington has often been described as "the Greenwich Village of Northampton."The Wellingborough Road (locally known as the "Welly Rd") passes through the centre of Abington containing many restaurants, pubs and supermarkets and is the heartbeat of the area. St Edmunds Hospital was once open on the Wellingborough Road before being closed in 1997 and demolished to make way for new development. Housing is mixed with former warehouses becoming converted flats, terraced housing and council housing. Wantage Road in Abington is home to Northamptonshire County Cricket Club and was formerly the home of Northampton Town Football Club on Abington Avenue before the club moved to Sixfields in modern premises west of the town.
