Fronalpstock (Schwyz)

Morschach is a municipality in Schwyz District in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland. It was a world-famous resort from 1869 up to the Great Depression.

The Axenstrasse is an 11.4-kilometre-long (7.1 mi) two-lane middle section with ongoing traffic between the A4 motorway and the A2 motorway, and part of European route E41 between the resort of Brunnen in the canton of Schwyz to the village of Flüelen in the canton of Uri in Central Switzerland. The road is built along steep cliffs on the east side of the Urnersee (first part of the Lake Lucerne) weaving through many rock fall galleries and tunnels along its route. Upon completion in 1865, the Axenstrasse was the first way to get to Uri that did not involve navigating Lake Lucerne.

Sisikon railway station (German: Bahnhof Sisikon) is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Uri and municipality of Sisikon. The station is situated on the Gotthard railway between Arth-Goldau and Erstfeld. Sisikon has two side platforms serving two tracks.

Stoos is a village located in the municipality of Morschach. It is situated at 1,300 m (4,300 ft) in the Swiss canton of Schwyz and has about 100 inhabitants (population was counted at 106 during a 2007 census). The Mosi Tunnel is a motorway tunnel in Switzerland which opened in 1964. It is situated on the A4 and also the main part of the bypass of Brunnen SZ which leads between Brunnen North and Brunnen South. The two lane tunnel (one lane for each direction) is 1100 metres long and links the motorway A4 with the Axenstrasse. It is the longest road tunnel in the Canton of Schwyz and will be until the Morschacher Tunnel opens in 2020 between Brunnen North and Sisikon. Then the Mositunnel will lose its status as a motorway tunnel and will “only” be a main street tunnel.

Alplersee is a lake on the slopes of the Rophaien mountain near Riemenstalden and Sisikon in the Canton of Uri, Switzerland. There is another lake in the canton of Uri with the same name near Unterschächen.

Riemenstalden is a municipality in Schwyz District in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland. The villages can be reached by road from Sisikon (Canton of Uri).

The Stoosbahn, also known as the Schwyz–Stoos funicular or Standseilbahn Schwyz–Stoos, is a funicular railway in the Swiss canton of Schwyz. It connects the Hintere Schlattli in the municipalities of Muotatal, Morschach, and Schwyz with the village and mountain resort of Stoos, above Morschach. On a length of 1.7 kilometres (1.1 mi), it overcomes a height difference of 744 metres (2,441 ft). It opened on 15 December 2017 and replaces the older Schwyz-Stoos funicular, operating since 1933 on a different route. The carriages are barrel-shaped and rotate to maintain a level floor surface for passengers. Construction took five years and cost 52 million Swiss francs.The new line has a maximum gradient of 110% (47.7°) and is the steepest funicular railway in Switzerland and Europe, superseding the Gelmerbahn. It has been widely claimed to be the steepest in the world, and although the Katoomba Scenic Railway in Australia is steeper, with a maximum gradient of 122%, it uses a winch system and is, therefore, an incline lift and not a funicular railway.

The Klingenstock (also spelled Chlingenstock) is a mountain of the Schwyzer Alps, located between Stoos and Riemenstalden in the canton of Schwyz. Its summit is accessible by chair lift from Stoos.

Ingenbohl (High Alemannic: Ingäbohl) is a municipality in Schwyz District in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland.

The Rophaien (2,077 m) is a mountain of the Schwyzer Alps, overlooking Lake Lucerne (Urnersee) in the canton of Uri. It lies west of the Rossstock, at the western end of the range north of the Schächental.
