Blackfen School for Girls is a girls' secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Blackfen in the London Borough of Bexley, England. Although it is a girls school, the sixth form over the past few years has become mixed. This is due to the partner school Hurstmere Foundation School having no sixth form, so many pupils from Hurstmere join the sixth form in Blackfen school.

Hurstmere School (formerly Hurstmere Foundation School for Boys) is an all-boys secondary school with academy status, located on Hurst Road in Sidcup, a suburb of London, England. It shares its site with the Jumping Jacks Day Nursery. The school was designated as a sports college in 2003 and also as a science college in 2008. In February 2012, the school was converted to an academy under the Academies Act 2010.In 2007 the school was in the top 50 most improved schools over the past three years. In 2010, the school was reported as achieving a 41% rate for at least five GCSEs at A* to C grade including maths and English among its 207 GCSE students, and an overall A* to C pass rate in at least five exams of 74%. In July 2011, its GCSE results improved. 85% of students gained at least five A* to C grades with 58% gaining five A* to C grades in subjects including Maths and English.An Ofsted inspection report in 2014 rated the school as "good", with an "excellent" capacity for sustained improvement. The report remarked on the school's "outstanding leadership" and the marked improvement in attendance since the last inspection in December 2007.The school holds an annual prize-giving ceremony which commends students who have done exceptionally well in their subjects. The prizes are presented by a guest speaker who is usually associated with the school or its specialist subjects.The school has a few guest speakers visit each year to inform students about life choices, these include Peter York and a local Olympian.

Old Bexley and Sidcup is a constituency created in 1983 and represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament represented since 2021 by Louie French of the Conservative Party.

Danson Park is a public park in the London Borough of Bexley, South East London, located between Welling and Bexleyheath. At 75 hectares, it is the second largest public park in the borough (the largest being Foots Cray Meadows at 100 hectares), and the most used by the community. Opened in 1925, it is often considered the finest green open space in the borough, and is Grade II listed on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. The park also gives its name to the electoral ward that covers the park and the surrounding area. The park is located at grid reference TQ472752. The southern boundary of both the park and the ward is delineated by Rochester Way, the A2 road.

Danson House is a Palladian mansion and a Grade I listed building at the centre of Danson Park, in Welling in the London Borough of Bexley, south-east London.

Lamorbey Park is a 57 hectare park in Lamorbey, in the London Borough of Bexley, set around a Grade II listed mansion, Lamorbey House. The original 17th century estate consisted of 119 hectares, but over time sections of the estate have been separated for other uses, including two secondary schools (Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School and Hurstmere School), Rose Bruford College, and Sidcup Golf Club. The area of the park still in public ownership includes The Glade, a 7.4 hectare area of historic landscape laid in the 1920s with a large lake. The park was added to the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of special historic interest in 1988.

Bexley Grammar School is a co-educational grammar school with academy status in Welling, in the London Borough of Bexley, UK. It takes boys and girls aged 11–18 who have passed the eleven plus exam.

Lamorbey is a district of South East London in the London Borough of Bexley, located north of Sidcup. It borders the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Significant buildings in the area are Holy Trinity Church, Lamorbey House and some of the original surviving buildings of The Hollies children's home (now converted to residential use). The oldest house in Sidcup, dating from 1452, can also be found in the district. The principal road becomes Halfway Street and is flanked by old cottages and Ye Olde Black Horse pub, established in 1743, though rebuilt in 1892. Lamorbey House, a listed building in a well maintained public park, houses Rose Bruford College. Lamorbey Park adjacent to the house contains large ponds where fishing continues. Sidcup Golf Course is located to its east, as are Hurstmere School and Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School, whose pupils wear distinctive purple blazers. The district is typical suburbia, mainly built in the 1930s. Prior to that much of the land was used for the growing of hops—wild hops may still be found growing on the Old Farm Avenue allotments. Some farmbuildings were located next to Sidcup sorting office and included characteristic Kentish oast houses. Other local landmarks are the clock house, pool and the former administrative block of The Hollies children's home (1901–1983) which is now at the heart of an up-market housing estate.

Upton was a hamlet in the southwest of today's Bexleyheath in the London Borough of Bexley, in the historic county of Kent. Originally, it was on fertile, south- and west-facing slopes, below the main heathland/pasture of the parish of Bexley. As the town known as Bexleyheath arose during the late 19th century and in early half of the next century, Upton became absorbed into it. In 1860, Red House, the elegant brick and tile home designed by Philip Webb for William Morris, was built on the heath in Upton. Red House is now preserved by the National Trust. From 1887 to 1978, it was heavily associated with a hospital on Upton Road. The building was still there in 2019.

Rose Bruford College (formerly Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance) is a drama school in the south London suburb of Sidcup. The college has degree programmes in acting, actor musicianship, directing, theatre arts and various disciplines of stagecraft.Its undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications and programmes were validated by the University of Manchester, until it received taught degree awarding powers in 2017. It is a member of the Federation of Drama Schools.

The Royal Oak is a pub in Mount Road, Bexleyheath, Kent. It is a Grade II listed building, built in the early 19th century.
