Haltdalen Stave Church (Norwegian: Haltdalen stavkyrkje) is a stave church that was originally built in the 1170s in the village of Haltdalen in what is now the municipality of Holtålen in Trøndelag county, Norway. The church is now on display at the Sverresborg Trøndelag Folkemuseum in the city of Trondheim. This is a single-nave stave church of the east Scandinavian-style, and it is the only one that is preserved.

Sverresborg Church (Norwegian: Sverresborg kirkesenter) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Sverresborg neighborhood in the district of Byåsen in the city of Trondheim. It is one of the churches in the Sverresborg parish (the other is Havstein Church). The parish is part of the Heimdal og Byåsen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The wood church is clad with fiber cement siding and it was built in a modern, rectangular design in 2014 by the architect Stein Halvorsen.

Dyrborg is a neighborhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is a residential area that is located in the borough of Midtbyen, just west of the neighborhood of Ila, north of Byåsen, and south-west of Trolla.

Trondheim Tramway Museum (Sporveismuseet i Trondheim) is a tram museum located in Trondheim, Norway. The museum offers in addition to a display of the tramway history of Trondheim also heritage trips with old trams on the sole remains of the tramway in Trondheim, Gråkallbanen. The museum has many heritage trams on display, several in working condition. The museum society was founded in 1979 and moved to its present location at the tramway depot at Munkvoll Station after the Trondheim Tramway was closed in 1988. The museum was opened in 1995, but is only open in the summer.

Ila, formerly Ilevolden, is a tram stop on the Trondheim Tramway, located at Ila, Trondheim in Trondheim, Norway. It was the original terminus of Ilalinjen, the first tramway and opened in 1901. In 1924 it also became a stop for the private Gråkallbanen that ran to Lian. The station featured at first a loop around the park it served, but it was later changed to a turning triangle. The station was the terminus for Line 1 of Trondheim Sporvei until 1971 when it was merged with A/S Graakalbanen and Line 1 was extended to Lian. The stop is also a stop for bus lines 5 and 8, as well as for buses heading to Trolla and Fosen. The stop primarily serves the residential areas at Ila.

Ila is a neighborhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Midtbyen, just west the central downtown area of Trondheim. Ila is bordered by the river Nidelva in the south, Skansen in the north, and Steinberget, Bymarka, and Ilsvikøra in the west. The area is mostly residential, with some industry and commerce. The Gråkallbanen tram line runs through Ila and the area is served by the Skansen Train Station on the Trønderbanen commuter train line. Nordre Avlastningsvei, which was completed during 2010, connects Ila via Brattøra to Lademoen.

The Trondheim Region (Norwegian: Trondheimsregionen) is a statistical metropolitan region in the county of Trøndelag in Norway. It is centered in the city of Trondheim. † Population data as of October 2012, from ssb;‡ Orkdal has been added to region due to new road completed The new limited-access road to Orkdal, a part of European route E39, was completed on 30 June 2005, shortening the driving time between Trondheim and Orkanger with some 15 minutes, adding Orkdal to the region. Although rarer, there is also some commuting from Rennebu, Levanger and Frosta.

The Nidareid train disaster was a train collision on 18 September 1921 on the Trondhjem–Støren Line railway line, between the stations of Marienborg and Skansen in Trondheim, Norway. The accident occurred the day after the inauguration of the new line to Trondheim, Dovre Line, and one of the trains involved was the inaugural train returning from the celebrations in Trondheim. Six people (all prominent Norwegians) were killed in the crash, the first serious passenger train accident in Norway.

Havstein Church (Norwegian: Havstein kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Sverresborg area on the western side of the Nidelva river in the city of Trondheim. It is one of the churches for the Sverresborg parish which is part of the Heimdal og Byåsen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The gray, stone church was built in a long church style in 1857 and designed by the architects Heinrich Ernst Schirmer and Wilhelm von Hanno. The church seats about 200 people.

The Trondheim Tramway in Trondheim, Norway, is the world's most northerly tramway system, following the closure and dismantling of the Arkhangelsk tramways in Russia. It consists of one 8.8-km-long line, the Gråkallen Line, running from St. Olav's Gate in the city centre through Byåsen to Lian Station in Bymarka.

The Gråkallen Line (Norwegian: Gråkallbanen) is an 8.8-kilometre (5.5 mi) suburban tram line located in Trondheim, Norway. As the only remaining part of the Trondheim Tramway, it runs from the city centre at St. Olav's Gate, via the suburban area Byåsen to Lian. It is designated Line 9 (previously Line 1), and is served by six Class 8 articulated trams. After the closure of the Arkhangelsk tramway in 2004, it became the world's northernmost tramway system. The line was opened as the only private tramway in Trondheim by A/S Graakalbanen in 1924. At first it was built to Munkvoll, but extended to Ugla in 1925, and to Lian in 1933. Operations were taken over by the municipal Trondheim Trafikkselskap in 1972, but it was closed along with the rest of the tramway in 1988. In 1990, the private initiative AS Gråkallbanen opened the line, later known as Boreal Bane. Located at Munkvoll is the tramway museum and depot.

Skansen (Skansen stasjon) is a railway station located at Ila in Trondheim, Norway. It is on the Dovre Line (Dovrebanen), 1.20 kilometers from Trondheim Central Station. Service to the station is provided though the Trøndelag Commuter Rail operated by SJ Norge and regional trains to Røros Station. It was opened in 1893. The station is located in a residential area. It is the only railway station in Trondheim to have connections with the Trondheim Tramway. It is also served by city buses.
