The Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg, inaugurated in 1964 as the Théâtre Municipal de la Ville de Luxembourg is the city's major venue for drama, opera and ballet. It underwent renovation work in 2002–2003 resulting in substantial improvements to the stage technology, acoustics and lighting facilities.

The Villa Vauban is an art museum in Luxembourg City. It exhibits 18th- and 19th-century paintings acquired from private collections.

St Joseph's Church in the Limpertsberg district of Luxembourg City is a Roman Catholic church in the Neo-Romanesque style. Designed by the Luxembourg architect Nicolas Petit (1876–1953), it was completed in 1913 and consecrated the same year on 30 April. The interior was substantially renovated in 1976 by the German architect Willy Hahn who added a tabernacle column symbolizing the tree of life.

The Notre-Dame Cemetery (French: Cimetière Notre-Dame, German: Liebfrauenfriedhof) in Luxembourgish more commonly the Nikloskierfecht, or "St. Nicholas Graveyard", is located in the Limpertsberg quarter of Luxembourg City. It is the largest of the 14 cemeteries and graveyards managed by the Service Cimetières of the City of Luxembourg.

Church of the Saints Peter and Paul (Luxembourgish: Russesch-orthodox Péiter-a-Paul Kierch zu Lëtzebuerg; French: Église des Saints Apôtres Pierre et Paul de Luxembourg) is the first Russian Orthodox Church in Luxembourg. It is under the jurisdiction of the Western European Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia.

The Eurovision Song Contest 1962 was the 7th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, following the country's victory at the 1961 contest with the song "Nous les amoureux" by Jean-Claude Pascal. The contest was organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Compagnie Luxembourgeoise de Télédiffusion (CLT), and was held at the Villa Louvigny on Sunday 18 March 1962 hosted by the Luxembourgish speaker Mireille Delannoy. This remains the last time that the final of the contest was not held on a Saturday, as since 1963 the final of the contest has consistently been held on a Saturday evening. Sixteen countries participated in the contest – the same that took part the year before. The winner was France with the song "Un premier amour", performed by Isabelle Aubret, written by Roland Valade and composed by Claude Henri Vic. This was France's third victory in the contest in just five years, having also won in 1958 and 1960. It was also the third consecutive winning song performed in French. For the first time in the contest's history, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands and Spain all scored nul points.

Villa Louvigny is a building in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg, that served as the headquarters of Compagnie Luxembourgeoise de Télédiffusion, the forerunner of RTL Group. It is located in Municipal Park, in the Ville Haute quarter of the centre of the city.

Le passe-muraille (French: The Walker-Through-Walls), also known as Chambre sensorielle, is the name of a bronze sculpture created in 2006 by French sculptor Jean-Bernard Métais. It is located in the "Parc du Pescatore" in Luxembourg City and was set up over the old casemate-network of the city. The sculpture is made out of two bronze hemispheres; it is 3 meters high and has a diameter of 6 meters. One can enter Le Passe-muraille through these hemispheres. 8,000 holes let the landscape shine through. Le passe-mureille was inaugurated on December 24, 2006, in the presence of Andrée Putman, Paul Helminger (mayor) and other notable guests.It does not carry the signature of the artist.

The Luxembourg Stock Exchange, LuxSE (French: Bourse de Luxembourg) is based in Luxembourg City at 35A boulevard Joseph II. The chairman of the board is Alain Kinsch and the chief executive officer is Julie Becker.The exchange has pre-opening sessions from 7:15 am to 9:00 am and normal trading sessions from 9:00 am to 5:35 pm from Monday to Friday included, except for holidays declared by the Exchange in advance.On 23 August 2023, the company formed EuroCTP as a joint venture with 13 other bourses, in an effort to provide a consolidated tape for the European Union, as part of the Capital Markets Union proposed by the European Commission.

The Lambert Redoubt is part of a seventeenth-century fort in the Municipal Park, Luxembourg City. The fort was destroyed by demolition in between 1868 and 1874, and the redoubt wasn't discovered until the city was excavating for the Monterey underground car park. The structure can be viewed from above from Avenue Monterey, or accessed from within the municipal park surrounding it.
