Waterloo (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋaːtərloː] (listen), French pronunciation: [watɛʁlo] (listen); Walloon: Waterlô) is a municipality in Wallonia, located in the province of Walloon Brabant, Belgium, which in 2011 had a population of 29,706 and an area of 21.03 km2 (8.12 sq mi). Waterloo lies a short distance south of Brussels, and immediately north-east of the larger town of Braine-l'Alleud. It is the site of the Battle of Waterloo, where the resurgent Napoleon was defeated for the final time in 1815. Waterloo lies immediately south of the official language border between Flanders and Wallonia.

The Wellington Museum in Waterloo, Belgium, is located in the house where the Duke of Wellington, spent the night before and after the Battle of Waterloo (18 June 1815).The museum contains information about the Duke of Wellington, the Waterloo Campaign, the main phases of the Battle of Waterloo a Gallery and contemporary military artefacts from the armies that fought in the battle.

Waterloo railway station (French: Gare de Waterloo, Dutch: Station Waterloo), officially Waterloo, is a railway station in Waterloo, Walloon Brabant, Belgium. The station opened on 1 February 1874 and is located on railway line 124. The train services are operated by the National Railway Company of Belgium (SNCB/NMBS). The station is large, with platforms able to accommodate trains much longer than any currently scheduled to operate to (or through) the station. It is fully staffed, with the booking office open seven days a week. The railway line between Nivelles-Waterloo-Linkebeek (south of Brussels) is currently being enlarged to allow a higher frequency of local and intercity trains.

ISF Waterloo (International School of Flanders) is an international school for young people aged 2 ½ to 18. It is a member of the European Council for International Schools. The campus is located south of Brussels right on the border between the communes of Sint-Genesius-Rode and Waterloo. It currently has over 200 students enrolled, from 49 different nationalities, meaning that classes are usually small (around 18 students) . Every one of the teachers is trained in English as an Additional Language. French is taught daily to every student. In 2015, ISF Waterloo has become the first Google for Education School in Belgium. Students access the learning resources on the Google platform using Chromebooks, tablets, and also the Interactive Whiteboard which is installed in every classroom. The school follows the International Primary Curriculum in Primary School. The Middle and High School students take the Cambridge International examinations. The school sits on the site of the former World International School, which provided an international education in English for pupils aged 2½ to 18. It closed in 2012. In 2021, ISF Waterloo has gained accreditation from Council of International Schools, which took five years to achieve, and also from Council of British International Schools.

St. John's International School is an English-language international school located in Waterloo, Belgium. The school has a student body from a very international background with 55 different nationalities represented. St. John's International School runs from day-care to 12th grade, the final year of high school. It offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma program, AP programs are also offered by the school.

Mont-Saint-Jean is a hamlet located in Wallonia in the province of Walloon Brabant, Belgium, south of Waterloo located partly on Waterloo and partly on Braine-l'Alleud where the National road (N5) going from Brussels to Charleroi crosses the National road (N234) going from Nivelles to Leuven.

The European School of Bruxelles-Argenteuil (French: École Européenne de Bruxelles-Argenteuil), also known as the EEBA, is a private, Accredited European School located on the grounds of the Château d'Argenteuil, in Waterloo, 15 km south of Brussels, Belgium. Founded in 2016, the EEBA is a partnership between the Belgian private school "Lycée Molière", and the Scandinavian School of Brussels (SSB). The EEBA, through its partnership with the SSB, offers its students the International Baccalaureate as its secondary leaving qualification, with plans to also offer the European Baccalaureate in the near future. The school caters to nursery, primary and secondary students and is equipped with facilities for boarders aged 15 and up.

The Memorial of Waterloo 1815 (Mémorial Waterloo 1815 in French) is a Belgian museum complex located on the site of the Waterloo battlefield in Belgium. It includes a museum inaugurated in 2015, the Lion's Mound, the Panorama of the Battle of Waterloo and the Hougoumont farm.

Braine-l'Alleud (in Dutch : Eigenbrakel) is a railway station in the municipality of Braine-l'Alleud operated by SNCB/NMBS. The station is located on the line number 124, from Brussels-South to Charleroi-South, located in the municipality of Braine-l'Alleud in the province of Walloon Brabant in the Walloon Region. It was open for service in 1874 by the Belgian administration of Railways. It is a station of the Belgian railways (SNCB/NMBS), it is served by the following types of trains: InterCity (IC), S Train (S) and Peak hour trains (P).

The Panorama of the Battle of Waterloo (French: Panorama de la Bataille de Waterloo) is a rotunda in Belgium that houses a monumental panoramic painting depicting the Battle of Waterloo. The neoclassical building is located immediately to the north of the Lion's Mound on the battlefield of the Battle of Waterloo in the municipality of Braine-l'Alleud in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant.
