On November 20, 2020, a shooting occurred at Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, United States. Eight people were injured but survived. The shooter fled the scene afterwards and was later arrested during a traffic stop. Police said the shooting was not a random act and had been sparked by an earlier altercation between two groups. Two days later, several people were arrested in connection with the shooting, including a 15-year-old boy.

It serves the Greater Milwaukee area, also Wisconsin's premier shopping Center and Largest Mall in Wisconsin with 175 stores. Mayfair Shopping Center was constructed from 1956 and completed in 1959 by the Hunzinger Construction Company. It has been expanded several times since it was first built. The mall contains 164 stores and the anchor stores are Macy's, Crate & Barrel, Barnes & Noble, Nordstrom and AMC Theatres. There is one vacant anchor store that was once Boston Store.

The 1933 PGA Championship was the 16th PGA Championship, held August 8–13 at Blue Mound Country Club in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, a suburb west of Milwaukee. Then a match play championship, Gene Sarazen won the third of his three PGA Championship titles, defeating Willie Goggin 5 & 4. It was the sixth of his seven major titles. Defending champion Olin Dutra lost in the second round to semifinalist Johnny Farrell, 1 up.This was Wisconsin's first and only major for 71 years; the PGA Championship returned to the state in 2004 at Whistling Straits near Kohler.

Blue Mound Golf & Country Club is a country club in the north central United States, located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, a suburb west of Milwaukee. The golf course was designed by Seth Raynor. The club hosted the PGA Championship in 1933, the Western Open in 1916, and the Women's Western Open in 1940, where Babe Zaharias defeated Mrs. Russell Mann in the 36-hole final of match play, 5 and 4. Blue Mound features many wonderful MacDonald/Raynor temple holes including Alps, Biarritz, Cape, Double Plateau, Eden, Hogsback, Leven, Maiden, Punchbowl, Prize, Redan, Road, and Short.
