1933 PGA Championship

Blue Mound Golf & Country Club is a country club in the north central United States, located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, a suburb west of Milwaukee. The golf course was designed by Seth Raynor. The club hosted the PGA Championship in 1933, the Western Open in 1916, and the Women's Western Open in 1940, where Babe Zaharias defeated Mrs. Russell Mann in the 36-hole final of match play, 5 and 4. In the late 1990s, the course was restored by Tom Doak's Renaissance Design under the supervision of architect Bruce Hepner.BMGCC has hosted the following tournaments: 1933 PGA Championship won by Gene Sarazen 1940 Women’s Western Open Babe Didrikson Zaharias defeated Mrs. Russell Mann in the 36-hole final of match play 1955 Miller High Life Open won by Dr. Cary Middlecoff 2010 Western Junior Championship won by Patrick Rodgers 2011 US Amateur won by Kelly Kraft (co-host with Erin Hills) Blue Mound will also host the 2022 Mid-Am (co-host with Erin Hills)The 2020 Junior Ryder Cup was scheduled to be at Blue Mound but was canceled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Blue Mound features many wonderful MacDonald/Raynor temple holes including Alps, Biarritz, Cape, Double Plateau, Eden, Hogsback, Leven, Maiden, Punchbowl, Prize, Redan, Road, and Short.

The 1940 Women's Western Open was a golf competition held at Blue Mound Golf & Country Club, the 11th edition of the event. Babe Zaharias won the championship in match play competition by defeating Mrs. Russell Mann in the final match, 5 and 4.

Mayfair Mall is a shopping mall located on Mayfair Road (Highway 100) between North Avenue and Center Street in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, United States. It serves the Greater Milwaukee area, also Wisconsin's premier shopping Center and Largest Mall in Wisconsin with 175 stores. Mayfair Shopping Center was constructed from 1956 and completed in 1959 by the Hunzinger Construction Company. It has been expanded several times since it was first built. The mall contains 164 stores and the anchor stores are Macy's, Crate & Barrel, Barnes & Noble, Nordstrom and AMC Theatres. There is one vacant anchor store that was once Boston Store.

Wauwatosa (; known informally as Tosa; originally Wau-wau-too-sa or Hart's Mill) is a city in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 48,387 at the 2020 census. Wauwatosa is located immediately west of Milwaukee, and is a part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. It is named after the Potawatomi Chief Wauwataesie and the Potawatomi word for firefly.

Milwaukee Career College (MCC) is a private, for-profit technical school in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Mount Mary University is a private Roman Catholic women's university in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The university was founded in 1913 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame and was Wisconsin's first four-year, degree-granting Catholic college for women. Today, the university serves women at the undergraduate level and both women and men at the graduate level. The university enrolls nearly 1,500 students and offers bachelor's degrees in more than 30 academic majors, as well as eight master's and doctoral degree programs. Post-baccalaureate certificate programs also are offered. Mount Mary is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

On November 20, 2020, a shooting occurred at Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, United States. Eight people were injured but survived. The shooter fled the scene afterwards and was later arrested during a traffic stop. Police said the shooting was not a random act and had been sparked by an earlier altercation between two groups. Two days later, several people were arrested in connection with the shooting, including a 15-year-old boy.

Wauwatosa West High School is a comprehensive four-year public high school located in the city of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, United States. West opened in 1960/1961 as a sister-school to Wauwatosa East High School; together they are part of the Wauwatosa School District.

Muirdale Tuberculosis Sanatorium, also called Muirdale Tuberculosis Hospital, was built in 1914–15 by Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. It was located near the corner of Highway 100 and Watertown Plank Road in Wauwatosa and named after noted Wisconsin naturalist John Muir. Maximum capacity in 1923 was 350 patients, but in later years this figure rose to over 600, including a 100-bed Children's Cottage, or Preventorium, devoted to the treatment of young children.

Divine Savior Holy Angels High School (DSHA) is an all-girls Roman Catholic high school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee and sponsored by the Sisters of the Divine Savior.

Milwaukee Lutheran High School (MLHS) is a secondary school located in Milwaukee, in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The school was originally known as Lutheran High School (LHS). LHS was established in 1903, making Milwaukee Lutheran the oldest Lutheran high school in the United States. In the 1950s, doctrinal differences between the two synods operating the school resulted in each church body forming its own school. MLHS is owned and operated by forty-six Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations, the Lutheran High School Association of Greater Milwaukee (LHSAGM), and accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Milwaukee Lutheran has twice been recognized as a National Exemplary School (Blue Ribbon School) by the U.S. Department of Education. In 1995, the LCMS honored Milwaukee Lutheran as a "Recognized School of Excellence".

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is a private medical school and graduate school of sciences headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The school was established in 1893 and is the largest research center in eastern Wisconsin. It has two additional campuses, one in Green Bay and one in Wausau. MCW is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (HLC) and by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). It is the only private medical school in Wisconsin, and one of only two medical schools in Wisconsin, along with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison.The MCW houses the Center for Infectious Disease Research (CIDR) which has a BSL3 laboratory.
