University Stadium (Albuquerque)

Albuquerque Sports Stadium was a baseball stadium in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, which was built in 1969 as a modern replacement for the aging Tingley Field. The ballpark had a seating capacity of 10,510, though it occasionally accommodated much larger crowds.The stadium was located at the northeast corner of University Boulevard and Avenida Cesar Chavez. It was closed in 2000 and demolished in 2001 to make way for Isotopes Park, which occupies the old stadium's footprint.

Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park, previously known only as Isotopes Park, is a minor league baseball stadium located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and is the home field of the Albuquerque Isotopes of the Pacific Coast League, the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. The facility was also previously used by the baseball program of the University of New Mexico. The stadium is also home to New Mexico United, a professional soccer team in the USL Championship division that began play in 2019.

The Pit is an indoor arena in Albuquerque, New Mexico, serving primarily as the home venue of the University of New Mexico Lobos basketball teams. The facility opened in 1966 as University Arena but gained the nickname "The Pit" due to its innovative subterranean design, with its playing floor 37 feet (11 m) below street level. The arena is located on the UNM South Campus and has a seating capacity of 15,411 for basketball and up to 13,480 for concerts, with 40 luxury suites and 365 club seats. The Pit has frequently hosted NCAA basketball tournament games, including the 1983 Final Four, which featured North Carolina State's upset win over Houston.

Santa Ana Star Field, formerly known as Lobo Field, is a baseball stadium located in Albuquerque, New Mexico that serves as the home of the University of New Mexico Lobos baseball team. Lobo Field had served as New Mexico's practice field as the Lobos played home games at Isotopes Park, home of the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes baseball team. On March 7, 2011, the University of New Mexico regents approved a $3 million renovation plan for Lobo Field.On March 27, 2013, New Mexico announced it was moving all its remaining home baseball games from Isotopes Park to the still-under-renovation Lobo Field, due to restrictions placed on the Lobos for the use of Isotopes Park.On December 11, 2015, the school announced that Tamaya Enterprises, which owns the Santa Ana Star Casino, agreed to a 10-year, $1 million naming rights deal for the stadium.

Central New Mexico Community College (CNM), formerly Technical Vocational Institute (TVI), is a public community college based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Founded in 1964, CNM offers associate degrees, professional certificates, and training options. CNM has the largest undergraduate student enrollment in the state and is located across several campuses and training sites in the Albuquerque metropolitan area. As of Fall 2018, CNM had 22,278 students and 18,000 individuals enrolled in non-credit workforce training, industry testing for credentials/licensures and adult basic education.

The Heights Community Center is a historic community center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built from 1938 to 1940 by the National Youth Administration (NYA), a New Deal agency which provided jobs and vocational training for young Americans. The building was constructed on a minimal budget using donated and scavenged materials, including discarded nails collected from the Albuquerque Municipal Airport construction site. Subsequently, the NYA also built the Barelas Community Center in 1942. These were the first two community centers in the city, and both are still in use as of 2021. The Heights Community Center has hosted the same types of functions since it opened, including dances, classes and activities for children, and space for community groups. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2021. It is also an Albuquerque Historic Landmark.The community center is a one-story Pueblo-Revival-style building constructed using labor-intensive traditional methods including hand-formed adobe bricks and hand-cut vigas. It is modeled after a traditional Spanish-style hacienda, with a single row of rooms arranged around a central courtyard. An internal portal (veranda) surrounds the courtyard on all four sides. The building contains classrooms, offices, a meeting room, a kitchen, and a large dance or assembly hall. An addition was built in 1949 which doubled the size of the dance hall. Further additions were built at the rear in 1980 and 2006.

Roosevelt Park is a historic park in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is listed on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places, and is a protected Albuquerque Historic Landmark. The park was built between 1933 and 1935 by manual laborers employed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal programs, turning a sandy arroyo filled with garbage into a rolling, grassy landscape planted with over 2,000 trees and bushes. It has long been one of the city's most popular gathering and recreation areas, although it also developed a reputation as a dangerous area beginning in the 1960s. The park received a major renovation in 2006–7.

Silver Hill is a neighborhood in southeast Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is significant as one of the oldest developments on the city's East Mesa. Much of the neighborhood is included in the Silver Hill Historic District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The neighborhood is roughly bounded by Central Avenue, Yale Boulevard, Central New Mexico Community College, and Presbyterian Hospital. The northeast corner of the neighborhood borders the University of New Mexico campus.

Jones Motor Company is a historic U.S. Route 66-era building in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Built in 1939, on Central Avenue in the Nob Hill neighborhood of Albuquerque, the building originally housed Ralph Jones' service station and Ford Motor Company car dealership. It was designed by Tom Danahy in the Streamline Moderne style, with curved garage bays surmounted by a central stepped tower.Jones Motor Company was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places in 1993, and was designated as a protected city landmark in 2001. In 2000 it was restored and converted into Kelly's Brew Pub after lying empty for many years. It also houses a Cold Stone Creamery location.

The Cottage Bakery is a historic building on Central Avenue (former U.S. Route 66) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built in 1937 by a local bakery, the Cottage Pure Food Shoppe, and is significant as a relatively unaltered 1930s food-vending establishment, as well as for its use of roadside novelty architecture to attract customers. The front of the building was constructed in the form of a thatched cottage, which was intended to evoke "a bucolic purity that clients would associate with dairy and bakery products". It was listed on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.The front section of the building is a one-story, side-gabled brick building with two eyebrow arches that give it the appearance of a thatched roof. It has two separate storefronts, each with multi-light corner windows and an arched doorway with brick trim. The eastern section of the building (2004 Central) originally housed the retail outlet of the Cottage bakery, while the Spot Ice Cream Company was located next door at 2000 Central. Behind the cottage is a larger, more utilitarian one-story cinder block section which housed the commercial baking plant.

The Art Annex is a historic building on the campus of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Built in 1926, it originally served as the university's library. The building was designed by Trost & Trost and Elson H. Norris and features a Mayan-influenced hybrid form of Pueblo Revival architecture. It was listed in the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1975 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Hodgin Hall, previously known at various times as the University Building, Main Building, or Administration Building, is a historic building on the University of New Mexico campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Completed in 1892, it was the first building constructed on the UNM campus and the university's only building for almost a decade. The building was originally designed by Jesse Wheelock in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, but structural problems with the building's roof gave university president William Tight the opportunity to have it remodeled in his preferred Pueblo Revival style in 1908. The remodeled building features stepped, asymmetrical massing, stuccoed walls, vigas, and other details characteristic of traditional Pueblo and mission architecture. As one of the first Pueblo Revival buildings in New Mexico, Hodgin Hall helped to establish the style both at the university and regionally. The building was slated for demolition in the 1970s but was preserved and restored through an alumni fundraising effort. Since 1983, it has housed the university's Alumni Association and Alumni Relations offices. Hodgin Hall is listed in both New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places.
