Wynyard Golf Club

The 2005 Seve Trophy took place 22–25 September at Wynyard Golf Club, in North East England. The team captain for Great Britain and Ireland was Colin Montgomerie, with the captain for Continental Europe being José María Olazábal. The overall tournament host was Seve Ballesteros as he was unable to compete through injury. The trophy was retained for the second time by Great Britain and Ireland.

Wynyard, sometimes known as Wynyard Hall, is a large English country house near Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham. The house was the English family seat of the Vane-Tempest-Stewart family, Marquesses of Londonderry, an Anglo-Irish aristocratic dynasty, until it was sold to Sir John Hall in 1987.

Embleton is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of Sedgefield, in the County Durham district, in the ceremonial county of Durham, in England, as well as the site of a medieval village and manor. It is situated 3 miles (5 km) east of Sedgefield and 4 miles (6 km) west of Hartlepool. In 1961 the parish had a population of 80. The township was historically named "Elmdene", supposedly derived from the site's proximity to a woodland of elm trees which, at an earlier time, flourished in the bordering dene. A single farmstead now occupies the site which lies adjacent to the ruins of a small church (originally a manorial chapel of ease) dedicated to the Virgin Mary.From the 13th to the mid 16th century the manor was the seat of the Elmeden family who assumed the local name. The village was one of nearly 1,500 medieval villages to be abandoned in the 14th century after the collapse of the demesne system of land management. It afterwards passed in the female line to the Bulmers and Smythes and in the 18th century to the Tempests of Wynyard, ancestors of the Marquesses of Londonderry.Embleton Tower is a Grade I listed Peel tower in the village, which previously incorporated the vicarage.

Roseworth is an area of Norton in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, England. It borders Hardwick to the south west, Ragworth to the south east (in the same ward) and Norton centre to the east. The Roseworth housing estate was built in the 1960s, and every street name on the estate begins with "R".

Norton, also known as Norton-on-Tees, is a market town and civil parish in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, in County Durham, England. The suburbs of Roseworth and Ragworth are notable areas of the town. Billingham Beck is to the east of the town, the beck flows to the south-east. The town also contains the areas of Wolviston and Wynyard which are to the north of the town and are wards of the town. The town had a population of 20,829 in the 2011 Census.The area's centre dates back to at least the Anglo-Saxon period. It was the centre of an ancient parish that once included the chapelry of Stockton, which became its own ancient parish in 1713 which was three years after Stockton was granted a market charter. It became a part of Teesside County Borough in 1968, which was abolished in 1974, it has not been parished since.
