Rear Palace (วังหลัง wang lang) was a royal residence that belonged to the deputy Uparaja of Siam, who held the title Krom Phraratchawang Bowon Sathan Phimuk (Thai: กรมพระราชวังบวรสถานพิมุข).Around the time of Luang Sorasak's appointment, King Phetracha also appointed a Third King, Krom Phraratchawang Bowon Sathan Phimuk or Rear Palace. Nai Chopkhotchaprasit, a commoner, was appointed to the position. He, however, fell out of favour at some time during the king's reign and was executed. Around 1703, King Sanpet VIII appointed Prince Petch, his first-born son, as the Front Palace and younger son Prince Porn as Rear Palace. Because of the inauspicious end of the first Rear Palace, the King decided to change the title of the Front and Rear Palaces to Phra Banthun Yai (พระบัณฑูรใหญ่) and Phra Banthun Noi (พระบัณฑูรน้อย) respectively. The literal translation is "Big" and "Little Royal Command," thus analogous to the naval ranks of Commander and Lieutenant Commander. The titles were later merged. Prince Anurak Devesh, a nephew of King Rama I, was the only Rear Palace appointed during the Rattanakosin period, in 1785. After his death in 1806, the office went vacant. Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok is now on the site of the former Rear Palace.

Wat Amarinthraram Worawihan (Thai: วัดอมรินทรารามวรวิหาร), or known in short as Wat Amarinthraram or just Wat Amarin is a Thai Buddhist temple in Thailand. It is located on the southward of canal Khlong Bangkok Noi, next to the Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital and Bangkok Noi railway station near the foot of Arun Ammarin bridge, considered as the temple that is nearest to Siriraj Hospital. It is an ancient temple dating back to the Ayutthaya period (around 1657–58), although it is not known who built it. Previously, it was called "Wat Bang Wa Noi" (วัดบางหว้าน้อย) in pair with Wat Bangwa Yai (วัดบางหว้าใหญ่) nearby, or Wat Rakhangkhositaram in present day. In the King Taksin's reign during Thonburi period, the temple has been promoted to be a royal monastery. In the early Rattanakosin period, the King Phutthayotfa Chulalok (Rama I) gave the name to the Wat Amarinthraram (Śakra temple) which remains today. Since then, it has undergone renovations and had various additions to the permanent structures during each reign. Presently, the temple is classified as the third rank of royal monastery. The attraction of the temple is the principal Buddha statue of Luang Pho Bot Noi (หลวงพ่อโบสถ์น้อย), which is as the name says, located in the chapel behind the main hall. It is a Sukhothai-style statue in Māravijaya attitude. Hence the name "Luang Pho Bot Noi" (chapel venerable father), and this name also became the unofficial name of the temple, Wat Luang Pho Bot Noi. The temple was heavily damaged by Allied bombings during World War II and the only building which was still standing was the chapel. Another interesting thing of this temple is the replica of Buddha's footprint that is inside the pavilion. In the year 2010, the Buddha's footprint pavilion is preserved by the Fine Arts Department and Crown Property Bureau.Wat Amarinthraram used to be the residence of Chuan Leekpai, two times prime minister of Thailand. When he was a Thammasat University student in the early 1960s.

Siriraj Hospital (Thai: โรงพยาบาลศิริราช; RTGS: Rong Phayaban Sirirat) is the oldest and largest hospital in Thailand. It is in Bangkok on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, opposite Thammasat University's Tha Phrachan campus. It is the primary teaching hospital of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.

Siriraj Medical Museum is open to the public and is a valuable resource for medical professionals and students. This museum consists of seven small medical museums: Siriraj Bimuksthan Museum, Ellis Pathological Museum, Congdon Anatomical Museum, Songkran Niyomsan Forensic Medicine Museum, Parasitological Museum, Touch Museum in Honor of Queen Mother Sirikit, and Sood Sangvichien Prehistoric Museum Laboratory.

Ban Chang Lo (Thai: บ้านช่างหล่อ, pronounced [bâːn t͡ɕʰâ(ː)ŋ lɔ̀ː]) is one of five subdistricts (khwaeng) and namesake historic neighbourhood in Bangkok Noi District, Bangkok's Thonburi side (west bank of Chao Phraya River).

Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital (SiPH) (Thai: โรงพยาบาลศิริราช ปิยมหาราชการุณย์) is a hospital operated by the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital of Mahidol University. It is located in Bangkok on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, adjacent to Siriraj Hospital and opposite Thammasat University (Tha Phra Chan Campus). The hospital is catered to high-income patients, similarly to Thailand's private hospitals, with one of its aims being to generate revenue for the operation of Siriraj Hospital.

Wang Lang Market (Thai: ตลาดวังหลัง, RTGS: Talat Wang Lang, pronounced [tā.làːt wāŋ lǎŋ]) is a daily market in Bangkok Noi district next to Siriraj Hospital and Chao Phraya river in Bangkok's Thonburi side. The name "Wang Lang Market" means rear palace market, because of its location. In the early Rattanakosin period in the reign of King Rama I was the site of the palace of Prince Anurak Devesh (พระราชวังบวรสถานพิมุข หรือ วังหลัง; Rajawang Boworn Sathan Phimuk; familiarly known as Wang Lang ("Rear Palace"), as commoners often used the name of the palace to refer to its owner) who was the nephew of the king. At present, there are remnants of the palace walls in the area near the market.Wang Lang Market located in a narrow lane, it connects between Siriraj pier (or Wang Lang pier) and Arun Amarin road. Opposite to Tha Pra Chan pier in Tha Phra Chan neighbourhood, beside to Thammasat University in Phra Nakhon district. The length is about 300 meters. But it is full of shops either stalls and shophouses. There are varieties of products such as fashion clothings, beauty salons, bakeries, sushi shops, restaurants, including café in boutique style. But what is very famous of this market are southern food restaurants, which the food is well known for its spicy flavor. Because of its location near Thon Buri railway station, which is the destination of the southern line. And at the nearby Phran Nok intersection, there are also many southern food restaurants.

Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University (Thai: คณะแพทยศาสตร์ศิริราชพยาบาล) is the oldest and largest medical school and oldest of any kind of university faculty in Thailand. The faculty is now part of Mahidol University. Founded in 1889, the faculty was run in co-operation with Siriraj Hospital, the first public hospital in Thailand, which provided the students the clinical experiences. The faculty's campus and hospital is in the Bangkok Noi District, Bangkok, on the former Rear Palace. The medical school accepts about 250 students for the undergraduate education and more than 100 to postgraduate studies each year.

The National Museum of Royal Barges is a museum in Bangkok, Thailand. It is on the northern rim of Bangkok Noi canal in the Bangkok Noi District. Royal barges from the Royal Barge Procession are kept at the museum. The museum was formerly a dry dock for barges and warships under the care of the Royal Household and the Royal Thai Navy. The dock and barges sustained severe bombing damage during World War II, but in 1949 they were restored by the Fine Arts Department as part of the Thai cultural heritage. Repairs were completed and the dock became the National Museum of Royal Barges in 1972.

The old Thonburi railway station, originally known as Bangkok Noi railway station, is a former railway station in Bangkok, Thailand. It was the terminus of the Southern Line of Thailand's national rail network from 1903 to 1999.

Prannok Pier, also known as the Siriraj Pier or Wang Lang Pier (Thai: ท่าพรานนก, ท่าศิริราช, ท่าวังหลัง) with designated pier number N10, is a pier on the Chao Phraya River located at the Siriraj Subdistrict, Bangkok Noi District in the area adjacent Siriraj Hospital and Wang Lang Market.

Railway Station Pier or Thonburi Railway Station Pier (Thai: ท่ารถไฟ), with designated pier code N11 is a pier for Chao Phraya Express Boat, that runs between Bangkok (Wat Rajsingkorn next to Asiatique; S3) and the north ends in Nonthaburi Province (Pakkret; N33).
