Catlin Gabel School

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, is a non-profit, acute care teaching hospital in an unincorporated section of Washington County, Oregon, in the West Haven-Sylvan area north of Beaverton, Oregon and west of Portland, Oregon, United States – and within the Portland metropolitan area. The hospital was founded in 1875 by the Sisters of Providence, a Roman Catholic sisterhood from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is Providence Health & Services’s largest Oregon hospital.

Oregon College of Art and Craft (OCAC) was a private art college in Portland, Oregon. It granted Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees as well as art-focused certificates. The college offered an Artist-in-Residence program and provided continuing education in the arts to the local community. It was founded by Julia Christiansen Hoffman, a photographer, painter, sculptor, metal worker and weaver, out of her desire to foster the Arts and Crafts movement through classes and exhibitions. The college closed at the end of the spring 2019 semester.

West Haven-Sylvan is a census-designated place (CDP) in Washington and Multnomah counties, Oregon, United States, north of U.S. Route 26. As of the 2020 census, the CDP population was 9,299.

Mitchell Park is a 5-acre (2.0 ha) park in West Haven-Sylvan, Oregon. Features include basketball and tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, and a playground.

The Sunset Transit Center is a TriMet bus transit center and light rail station on the MAX Blue and Red lines in Beaverton, Oregon. It opened for MAX in 1998 and is the 5th stop westbound on the Westside MAX. This is the first stop after the Robertson Tunnel under Portland's West Hills. Sunset TC is the second-busiest station on the Westside MAX line, with a weekday average of almost 6,000 daily riders in 2012. Though the station has a Portland address, it primarily serves residents of the communities of Cedar Hills, Cedar Mill, and Beaverton. Named for the adjacent Sunset Highway (part of U.S. 26), the transit center also has a pedestrian bridge over that freeway, to connect to the Cedar Hills Shopping Center and Cedar Hills neighborhood. Several bus routes serve the center. The transit center's MAX platforms are below street level, set in an open cut, immediately west of an unnamed 600-foot-long tunnel to the shoulder of Oregon Route 217. Multiple bus stops are located around the top of the station pit, and at the station's west end is a two-story park-and-ride garage with 622 parking spaces on three levels (the top level is open). The garage includes a 74-space secured parking area for bicycles, opened in 2010. The park-and-ride is the busiest park-and-ride in TriMet's system.

West Slope is an unincorporated suburb of Portland, Oregon, United States and a census-designated place. It is in Washington County, to the west of Portland's West Hills neighborhood, to the northwest of Raleigh Hills and south of U.S. Route 26. Fire protection and EMS services are provided through Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue.As of the 2000 census, the suburb population was 6,442. In a plan agreed to by the county and Beaverton, West Slope was scheduled for annexation to Beaverton by 2010.

The French American International School (French: École Internationale Franco-Américaine) is a French and English language private school in Portland, Oregon, United States. The school was founded by Jean Claude and Maarja Paris in 1979. It has an annual operating budget of over $7 million. Approximately 92 percent of operating revenue is generated by tuition, with other operations and fundraising activities accounting for the remaining 8 percent.A partner school, the German American School, is located in Portland and serves grades K-5. Its graduates may elect to attend middle school at FAIS, in order to receive German-language instruction in language arts and social studies.Community participation is emphasized at the French American International School. In 2012, three high school women who learned French at FAIS assisted with a World War II translation project about "a B-17 crash in the Alps near the French-Italian border." A cookbook by the Families and Friends of The French American International School, Livre de Cuisine : A Compendium of World Recipes, has been favorably reviewed for its use of local food and focus on bringing young people into the kitchen to cook. The school has received Audubon Society certification for "removal of invasive weeds and practicing wildlife stewardship," and a City Commissioner complimented its students for providing "sophisticated ideas and articulate comments" on the 2010 Portland Plan.

Canyon Road (formerly known as Great Plank Road) is a 6.5 mi (10.5 km) major road and partial state highway, which serves as a connector between Beaverton and Portland, Oregon, United States. It was the first major road constructed between the Tualatin Valley and Portland, and has contributed significantly to Portland becoming the area's major deep water port, and subsequent early growth of the city. The total modern length is 6.5 miles (10.5 km), and 2.7 miles (4.3 km) of the route is coterminous with U.S. Route 26. In addition, the segment of the road signed as Oregon Route 8 under the name Canyon Road spans for 3.8 miles (6.1 km). There is an additional, small portion of a driveway in the Oregon Zoo parking lot that is also named Canyon Road; this is a continuation of a local suburban street named Canyon Court.
