Bachalpsee or Bachsee is a lake with an area of 8.06 ha (19.9 acres) close to the First (which can be reached with a cable car) above Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. The lake, located at an elevation of 2,265 m (7,431 ft), is split by a natural dam, the smaller part of the lake being 6 m (20 ft) lower. The lake is featured in Gmail as part of its mountain theme background (as of 2013).

The Faulhorn is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, located between Lake Brienz and Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland. The summit is 2,681 metres (8,796 ft) high and can be reached by several trails. The mountain is split between the municipalities of Iseltwald and Grindelwald, with the summit located on the boundary between the two. The hotel situated on the summit of Faulhorn was built in 1830. It has undergone very little change since then.

Hagelseeli or Hagelseewli is a lake in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. Its surface area is 2.49 ha (6.2 acres).

Schwendi bei Grindelwald railway station (German: Bahnhof Schwendi bei Grindelwald is a railway station in the municipality of Grindelwald in the Swiss canton of Bern. The station is on the Berner Oberland Bahn, whose trains operate services to Interlaken Ost and Grindelwald. It takes its name from the nearby settlement of Schwendi.

Sägistalsee is a lake in Canton of Berne, Switzerland. Its surface area is 7 ha (17 acres). The lake's sediments were studied to determine past climate and human activities.

Grindelwald Terminal railway station (German: Bahnhof Grindelwald Terminal) is a transportation complex in the municipality of Grindelwald in the Swiss canton of Bern. It is the valley station for two cableways: the Eiger Express to the Eiger Glacier, and the Grindelwald–Männlichen to the Männlichen. Trains on the Bernese Oberland line stop here as well, providing regular service to Interlaken Ost and Grindelwald. The station opened in December 2019, along with the rebuilt Grindelwald–Männlichen cableway. The Eiger Express, some fifty minutes faster than the rail journey via Grindelwald and Kleine Scheidegg, opened in December 2020.

The Grindelwald–Männlichen gondola cableway (German: Gondelbahn Grindelwald-Männlichen, GGM) is a gondola cableway linking Grindelwald with Männlichen. It is owned and operated by the Gondelbahn Grindelwald–Männlichen AG.The Grindelwald–Männlichen gondola cableway was the longest passenger-carrying gondola cableway in the world when it opened in 1978.

First is a mountain location and minor summit on the slopes of the Schwarzhorn in the Bernese Oberland. It is mostly known as a cable car station above Grindelwald (Firstbahn) and as a popular hiking area with the Bachalpsee in proximity. It is also the destination of the classic hike: Schynige Platte-Faulhorn-First.

Grindelwald Grund is a railway station in the village and municipality of Grindelwald in the Swiss canton of Bern. The station is served by the Wengernalpbahn (WAB), whose trains operate from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg. It takes its name from the Grund area of the village, in which it is located.WAB trains commence their journey at Grindelwald station, where they connect with trains of the Berner Oberland Bahn from Interlaken, and initially descend steeply to Grindelwald Grund station. At Grindelwald Grund they reverse and commence their ascent to Kleine Scheidegg, entering and leaving the station by its southern end. Depots and workshops are situated at both ends of the station.

Grindelwald railway station (German: Bahnhof Grindelwald) is a railway station in the village and municipality of Grindelwald in the Swiss canton of Bern. The station is the terminus of both the Berner Oberland Bahn (BOB), whose trains operate services to Interlaken Ost, and of the Wengernalpbahn (WAB), whose trains operate to Kleine Scheidegg via Grindelwald Grund.The BOB and WAB lines use different gauges, and there is no physical connection between them. However the trains operate from adjacent platforms within the same station. Trains of both lines enter the station from its western end. Counter-intuitively, the WAB commences its ascent to Kleine Scheidegg by descending steeply to Grindelwald Grund, where it reverses and commences its climb.

Burglauenen railway station (German: Bahnhof Burglauenen) is a railway station in the municipality of Grindelwald in the Swiss canton of Bern. The station is on the Berner Oberland Bahn, whose trains operate services to Interlaken Ost and Grindelwald. It takes its name from the nearby settlement of Burglauenen.

Grindelwald is a village and municipality in the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district in the canton of Berne. In addition to the village of Grindelwald, the municipality also includes the settlements of Alpiglen, Burglauenen, Grund, Itramen, Mühlebach, Schwendi, Tschingelberg and Wargistal. Grindelwald village is located at 1,034 m (3,392 ft) above sea level. Mentioned for the first time in 1146, it has become an important tourist destination of both Switzerland and the Alps since the golden age of alpinism in the 19th century. It is overlooked by a section of the Bernese Alps from the Wetterhorn to the Eiger, which create a natural barrier. Together with the adjacent valley of Lauterbrunnen, the valley of Grindelwald forms part of the Jungfrau Region of the Bernese Oberland, between Interlaken and the main crest of the Bernese Alps. Similarly to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald is connected to Interlaken by the Bernese Oberland Railway and is the start of the Wengernalp Railway, leading to Kleine Scheidegg. The latter resort is the start of the Jungfrau Railway, the highest railway in Europe and a gateway to the Jungfrau-Aletsch protected area.
