Fall River Government Center

William M. Connell School is a historic school located at 650 Plymouth Avenue in Fall River, Massachusetts. It was built in 1893 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It was designed by notable city architect Joseph M. Darling on the same plan as the Davol School. The school is named after William Connell, who served as the city's Superintendent of Schools from 1872 to 1894.The Connell School was one of about a dozen elementary schools closed in June 2008 by the city, with the opening of several new, larger buildings.

Fall River has its city hall located over an interstate highway.

The Great Fall River fire of 1928 occurred on February 2–3, 1928 and destroyed a vast portion of downtown Fall River, Massachusetts. Although the city has had many other large fires, both before and after, the 1928 conflagration is generally considered the worst in the city's history, since it destroyed so many businesses at a time when the city's economy was already struggling from recent textile plant closings. By the time the fire was out, five city blocks were completely wiped out. Nobody was killed and only a few people suffered serious injuries.

Pocasset Manufacturing Company was a cotton textile mill located in Fall River, Massachusetts. It was located just west of Main Street across the second falls of the Quequechan River. It was organized on August 15, 1821, with $100,000 in capital. The mill began operation in 1822, with Samuel Rodman of New Bedford as the principal owner. Oliver Chace, served as the mill's agent until 1837. Nathaniel Briggs Borden was named clerk and treasurer.The Pocasset Mills were the site of the origin of the Great Fall River Fire of 1928. The mills were destroyed along with a vast portion of the city's business district.

Downtown Fall River Historic District is a historic district on North and South Main, Bedford, Granite, Bank, Franklin, and Elm Streets in Fall River, Massachusetts. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Academy Building (also known as "Academy of Music Building" or "Borden Block") is a historic building in Fall River, Massachusetts. The building was constructed in 1875 as a memorial to Nathaniel Briggs Borden by his family. It opened its doors on January 6, 1876. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

The A. J. Borden Building is a historic commercial building located at 91–111 South Main Street in Fall River, Massachusetts.

The Bradford Durfee College of Technology was a college located in Fall River, Massachusetts. It was chartered in 1895 as the Bradford Durfee Textile School. It was then incorporated in 1899 and opened in 1904. The school was named after Bradford Durfee (1788-1843), a leading early Fall River industrialist.

The Belmont Club, also known as the John Young House, is a historic house on Franklin Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. The house was built in 1845, and is one of the few surviving homes built close to the city's business district soon after the devastating 1843 fire. It was purchased by the Belmont Club in 1934. The club reopened under new ownership in December 2012.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and included in the Downtown Fall River Historic District in 1985.

Central Congregational Church is a historic church at 100 Rock Street in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Cataract Engine Company No. 3 is a historic building at 116 Rock Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. It also served as the meeting hall of the Richard Borden GAR Post No. 46 of the Grand Army of the Republic. It is now occupied by a tobacco shop. The building is a two-story wood-frame structure, three bays wide, with a front-facing gable roof. A single-story porch spans the front, and plain pilasters grace the building corners. It was built in 1843 as the city's third fire station. It is the city's only surviving frame fire station, and one of its only surviving non-residential Greek Revival structures.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Third Street Commercial Corridor Historic District is a historic district on Third Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. It encompasses a pair of early 20th-century commercial buildings that have survived subsequent urban renewal projects in the city's downtown area. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2023. Both buildings have been converted to residential use.
