Kaiseregg

The Schafberg is a mountain peak above Boltigen located on the border between the cantons of Fribourg and Berne, north of Jaun. With a height 2,239 metres above sea level, it is the highest summit on the range lying north of the Jaun Pass. It is also the most isolated mountain in the canton of Fribourg.

The Breccaschlund is a karstic plain with primeval forest, located above the lake Schwarzsee, in the Swiss Canton of Fribourg. The area was created by glaciers in the last ice age. Despite the usage as alpine pastures and despite the popularity among hikers, the area continues to be home to a variety of alpine flowers and alpine animals. The Breccaschlund can be reached by car and public transport, and subsequently by the cable car Schwarzsee-Riggisalp.

The Bäderhorn (2,009 m) is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, located north of the Jaun Pass in the canton of Bern. It lies on the range between the valleys of Jaun and Simmental.

Schwarzsee (German: [ˈʃvartszeː]) or Lac Noir (French: [lak nwaʁ]; English: "Black Lake"; rarely Lac Domène; Arpitan: Lèc d'Omène [ˈle dɔˈmɛn(ə)] ), is a small lake in the Canton of Fribourg, Switzerland with an area of 0.47 km2 (0.18 sq mi). The lake in the Swiss Prealps is bordered by the peaks of Schwyberg (1,628 m) in the West, Les Reccardets (1,923 m) and Spitzfluh (1,951 m) in the South, as well as Kaiseregg (2,185 m).

The Euschelspass (1,567 m) is a high mountain pass of the Swiss Alps, connecting Schwarzsee with Jaun in the canton of Fribourg. The pass lies on the watershed between the Jogne and the Sense and is located between the Chörblispitz and the Schafberg. The pass is traversed by a trail.

The Schafarnisch is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, located on the border between the Swiss cantons of Fribourg and Bern. It lies north of Boltigen, in the group culminating at the Schafberg.

The Chänelpass (1,791 m) is a high mountain pass of the Bernese Alps, located on the border between the Swiss cantons of Fribourg and Bern. It connect Plaffeien (Fribourg) with Oberwil im Simmental (Bern). The pass lies on the watershed between the Sense and the Simme and is located between the Märe and the Schafarnisch. It is traversed by a trail.

The Chörblispitz (2,103 m) is a mountain of the Swiss Prealps, located north of Jaun in the canton of Fribourg. It lies on the range between the valley of the Breccaschlund and the valley of the Jaunbach.

The Märe is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, located on the border between the Swiss cantons of Fribourg and Bern. The Märe lies approximately halfway between Schwarzsee and Oberwil im Simmental.

Jaun (French: Bellegarde; Arpitan: Bèlagouàrda [balaˈvwɛrda] ) is a municipality in the district of Gruyère in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It is the only German-speaking municipality in Gruyère.

Jaun Pass (German: Jaunpass, French: col de Bellegarde) is a high mountain pass (el. 1509 m.) in the Swiss Alps linking Charmey and Jaun in the canton of Fribourg with Reidenbach (part of the municipality of Boltigen) in the canton of Bern. The pass itself is located within the canton of Berne. The pass road was completed in 1878.

Weissenbach railway station (German: Bahnhof Weissenbach) is a railway station in the municipality of Boltigen, in the Swiss canton of Bern. It is an intermediate stop on the Spiez–Zweisimmen line and is served by local trains only.
