Binəqədi raion

Binəqədi (also, Binagadi, Binagady, Binaghad, and Bonogady) is an urban-type settlement and municipality in the eponymous Binəqədi raion of Baku, Azerbaijan. It is located 7 km (4.3 mi) from the Biləcəri railway station .

The Baku Khanate (Persian: خانات باکو, romanized: Khānāt-e Baku), was a khanate under Iranian suzerainty, which controlled the city of Baku and its surroundings from 1747 to 1806.

The Binagadi asphalt lake (or Binagadi tar pits; Azerbaijani: Binəqədi gölü) are a cluster of tar pits in urban Baku, Azerbaijan. Asphaltum or tar has seeped up from the ground in this area for tens of thousands of years. The tar is often covered with dust, leaves, or water. Over many centuries, animals that were trapped in the tar were preserved as bones. This ancient flora and fauna deposit is protected by the State as a monument of a nature of the special significance pursuant to the Decree of the Government of Azerbaijan Republic No. 167 of March 16, 1982.

Mehdiabad is a settlement and municipality in the Absheron Rayon of Azerbaijan. It has a population of 6,616.

Rəsulzadə (also, Rasulzade) is a settlement and municipality in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a population of 47,921. It is named after Mahammad Amin Rasulzade. Since the early 1990s, it is composed of two settlements, known originally as Poselok imeni Vorovskogo and Poselok imeni Kirova.

Biləcəri (also, Baku, Baladjary, Biläcäri, Baladžary, and Baladzhary) is a settlement and municipality in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a population of 45,008. The municipality consists of the settlements of Biləcəri and Sulutəpə.

The Battle of Baku (Azerbaijani: Bakı döyüşü, Turkish: Bakü Muharebesi, Russian: Битва за Баку) was a battle in World War I that took place between August–September 1918 between the Ottoman–Azerbaijani coalition forces led by Nuri Pasha and Bolshevik–ARF Baku Soviet forces, later succeeded by the British–Armenian–White Russian forces led by Lionel Dunsterville and saw Soviet Russia briefly re-enter the war. The battle was fought as a conclusive part of the Caucasus Campaign, but as a beginning of the Armenian–Azerbaijani War.

Heydar Mosque (Azerbaijani: Heydər Məscidi) is an Azerbaijani mosque named after the former President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev located in the Binəqədi raion of Baku. The opening ceremony of the mosque was held on 26 December 2014. The mosque covers a total area of 12,000 m2 and the internal area of the building covers a total area of 4,200 square meters. Verses from The Quran are written on the side of the mosque's domes. The Caucasian Muslim Office appointed Imam Hafiz Abbasov and Akhund Rufet Garayev for the Sunni and Shia sects, respectively.Mubariz Gurbanli, the Chairman to the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan said that Heydar Mosque is a separate complex. This building is attached to the Executive Power of Baku City and managed on the basis of relevant Regulations.

The Azerbaijan State Agriculture Museum, established in 1924, presents the history of agricultural development in Azerbaijan and reflects its current state. The museum has more than 10,000 exhibits and mostly describes agricultural tools, both traditional and modern, and models of harvesters. The museum exposition covers various fields of agriculture: crop growing, cattle breeding, and horticulture. A variety of exhibits are devoted to ethnography: documents and photos as well as facilities reflecting the traditional way of rural life. There is an old hand-mill for grinding flour which is more than 100 years old and an oil lamp of the same age, a stone extracting grape juice, ceramic jugs for milk whipping and butter production and stirrups, saddles.There are two maps in the museum that has been embroidered with silk threads and the other one has been made of wheat grains, lentils and watercress.The museum guides wear Azerbaijani national garments and traditional music is played in the halls of the museum.The museum regularly features documentary film screenings and lectures, and organizes travelling exhibitions. The Azerbaijani State Agriculture Museum is especially popular among students of various educational institutions for whom special thematic visits and lessons are organized where they are able to experience the stages of development of agriculture in Azerbaijan. The museum is interesting for both children and adults.

Azerbaijan International University (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Beynəlxalq Universiteti) was a private university located in Baku, Azerbaijan. Founded in 1997, it had more than 6000 students and 268 faculty members. Graduate programs included Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacology, Economics, Education, and Law. The university granted bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. degrees, and became a corresponding member of International Personnel Academy of UNESCO (Kyiv) in 1999. On 30 August 2010, the Ministry of Education issued a decree annulling the license of the Azerbaijan International University.

Azadlıq prospekti is a Baku Metro station. It was opened on 30 December 2009.

Baku International Bus Terminal is a bus terminal located in Baku, Azerbaijan. The foundation stone for the complex was laid in 2004, and construction work was carried out by local firm "Baku 21st century". Baku International Bus Terminal was opened officially on 12 February 2009. It is the biggest bus terminal in the Commonwealth of Independent States countries. Its design resembles a ship. It is located on Sumgait highway, in the entry to Baku city.
