Yalding Organic Gardens

Yalding is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Maidstone in Kent, England. The village is situated 6 miles (9.7 km) south west of Maidstone at a point where the Rivers Teise and Beult join the River Medway. At the 2001 census, the parish, which includes the villages of Benover, Laddingford and Queen Street, had a population of 2,236. increasing to 2,418 at the 2011 Census. There are three bridges in the village; the Twyford Bridge (meaning twin ford, where there was originally a double crossing of the two rivers) is one of the finest medieval bridges in the south-east of England. Yalding was one of the principal shipment points on the River Medway for cannon, from villages of the Wealden iron industry. One iron master was John Browne from Horsmonden. The wharf was later used for transporting fruit from the many orchards in the area.

St Peter's and St Paul's Church is a parish church in Yalding, Kent, dedicated to saints Peter and Paul. It was begun in the 13th century and is a Grade I listed building.

The River Beult ( BELT) is a tributary of the River Medway in South East England.

Benover is a rural settlement in the Maidstone district of Kent, in the south east of England. It lies on the B2162 road and is almost ten miles (16 km) by road south west of the town; its nearest village is Yalding. The local inn is The Woolpack.

Teapot Island is a teapot museum in Kent, England. The museum grew from the personal teapot collection of owner Sue Blazye, which started when her grandmother gave her a teapot in 1983, encouraging other family members and friends to do the same. The growth of her collection eventually led to her needing a larger space to house it, and she established Teapot Island in Yalding, in November 2002. The building used for the collection used to be a cafe called the Riverside Diner, which had been in operation since the 1950s. The collection has been valued at £15,000.Teapot Island was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2004, for being the largest collection of teapots. The museum lost this title in 2011, when it was awarded to a man in China with a collection of 30,000. In 2011, the museum was featured in the book Crap Days Out, in which the authors stated: "It's awful if you don't like teapots. But it's probably all right if you do."

Yalding railway station is on the Medway Valley Line in Kent, England, serving the village of Yalding. It is 38 miles 19 chains (61.5 km) down the line from London Charing Cross via Paddock Wood and is situated between Beltring and Wateringbury. The station and all trains that call are operated by Southeastern.

Nettlestead Green, like its near neighbour Nettlestead, lies in the Medway valley southwest of Maidstone in Kent. It has a church and a 17th-century pub. The railway station for Yalding is actually closer to Nettlestead Green than to its own village, which lies on the opposite side of the River Medway. It was here on 26 June 1944 that Warrant Officer R.A.B ("Red") Blumer RAAF died when his Spitfire crashed. A memorial has been erected to his memory, and on the Saturday closest to 26 June each year a memorial service is held at the crash site. Blumer's portrait, and four information panels, hang in the village pub.

Wateringbury railway station is on the Medway Valley Line in Kent, England, serving the villages of Wateringbury and Nettlestead. It is 39 miles 77 chains (64.3 km) down the line from London Charing Cross via Paddock Wood and is situated between Yalding and East Farleigh. The station and all trains that call are operated by Southeastern. The station building, regarded as one of the finest Tudor-style stations in the country, was listed at Grade II in 1985.The APTIS-equipped ticket office in this building (on the northbound platform) closed in 1989; the building has remained disused for many years, though is in reasonable condition. In 2007, a PERTIS permit to travel ticket machine was installed at the entrance to the northbound platform. The signal box, which was Grade II listed in 2013 remains to control the level crossing.
