It is one of the last houses built in the main development phase of the Prospect Hill area. The building has a roughly rectangular massing, with several projecting sections and gables on the roof line, and a decorative chimney top. The front porch has a shed roof on top of spindlework and turned posts.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Robert Munroe House is a historic house in Somerville, Massachusetts. The modest side-hall Greek Revival house was built c. 1849 for Robert Munroe, a Boston grain dealer who was an early resident of Prospect Hill (Munroe Street is named for him). The house has a full-width front porch with Ionic columns that wraps around to the right side of the house. The front entry is surrounded by sidelight and transom windows, and flanked by pilasters.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The A. L. Lovejoy House is a historic house in Somerville, Massachusetts. The three story wood frame Second Empire house was built in the early 1870s for Alvan Lovejoy, a Boston "fancy goods" dealer who probably commuted using either the street car or steam rail that served Union Square. The house has a typical Second Empire mansard roof clad in polychrome slate. Windows are decorated with hoods, and there are decorative brackets on the front entry porch, the roof cornice, and the roof of the projecting front bay.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Louville Niles House is a historic house in Somerville, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built in 1890, and is one of the city's finest Queen Anne Victorian houses. The house was designed by Edwin K. Blankie, an MIT graduate and local builder. The building has irregular massing with numerous gable and roof lines. Its most prominent feature is a round projecting corner bay which is topped by a conical roof with copper finial.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Prospect Hill Monument, also occasionally called the Prospect Hill Tower is a stone structure in Somerville, Massachusetts. It is a block away from the heart of Union Square (Somerville), a neighborhood in Somerville. Its name is formally the Prospect Hill Memorial Flag Tower and Observatory. The tower is four stories tall and built out of iron and stone. The lower deck, outside of the first floor is open to the public and offers a panoramic view of Boston, Somerville, and Cambridge. At various points the city of Somerville has offered tours of the tower, though these are currently closed due to upcoming construction.

The Hollander Blocks are a pair of historic apartment houses in Somerville, Massachusetts. The two adjacent buildings were constructed in the early 1890s by Clarence T. Hollander on land that had been subdivided in the 1870s, and purchased by his father as an investment. The properties (one with 10 units, the other 12) stand out in a neighborhood otherwise dominated by single family residences.The buildings were listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Somerville Journal Building is a historic commercial building in Somerville, Massachusetts. It was built in 1894 as offices and the printing facility for the Somerville Journal, a weekly publication that continues to exist as part of the "Wicked Local" franchise of GateHouse Media. The building, a somewhat typical example of late 19th-century commercial architecture, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The US Post Office—Salem Main is a historic post office building at 2 Margin Street in Salem, Massachusetts. It is one of Salem's finest civic Colonial Revival buildings. The two story brick building was built in 1932 to a design by Wenham-based architect Philip Horton Smith of Smith & Walker. Its roof follows a cross-gable plan, with its main entry on the long side of the building, topped by a decorated pedimented gable. First floor windows are round-arched and slightly recessed, while those on the second floor are rectangular. A line of granite marks the transition to the cornice at the top of the facade; the cornice, along with the gable elements, features heavy dentil molding.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986; it continues to serve as Salem's primary post office.

The US Post Office—Newburyport Main is a historic post office in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Construction of the Georgian Revival single story brick building was begun in 1927 and completed in 1928. It was Newburyport's first purpose-built post office facility. The building is faced in red brick laid in running bond. Its central section, which houses the lobby area, projects slightly from wings on either side, and features three round arches trimmed in marble. The wings house offices, and the rear of the building houses the service area. The front block has a pitched hip roof, while the rear portion has a flat roof.The building was designed by architects in the Office of the Supervising Architect, then under the direction of acting supervising architect James A. Wetmore. The contractor was A. M. Lundberg of St. Louis, Missouri.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986; it was also included in the Newburyport Historic District in 1984.

The US Post Office—Somerville Main is a historic post office at 237 Washington Street in Union Square, Somerville, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story building was constructed in 1935-36 as part of a Public Works Administration initiative during the Great Depression. The building has a steel frame, and is clad in brick laid in Flemish bond, with limestone trim elements, and topped by a truncated hip roof. It is five bays wide, with a slightly projecting central section that is topped by a gable. The main entry, slightly recessed in this section, consists of a pair of modern glass-and-aluminum doors topped by an extended round-arch fanlight window. There is a small oriel window in the gable section.The interior of the main floor consists of the public lobby area, which includes an enclosed vestibule area at the main entrance, with small offices on either side, and a work area to the rear. The vestibule is set one-half floor below the main lobby area, with stairs rising from the main entrance to the left and right, and is framed in stained wood that matches other woodwork in the lobby area. The floors of the lobby and vestibule are finished in multiple colors of marble, as is the wainscoting on the walls.The upper portion of the east lobby wall contains a mural entitled A Skirmish between British and Colonists near Somerville in Revolutionary Times, painted by Ross Moffett in 1937 and commissioned by the Treasury Department's Section of Fine Arts. The mural depicts skirmishing that took place in the Union Square area in the later phases of the 1775 Battles of Lexington and Concord that began the American Revolutionary War.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The Post Office sold the building in 2017.
