Welcome Stadium is an 11,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in Dayton, Ohio, United States, owned and operated by Dayton Public Schools. Primary tenants of the facility include University of Dayton Flyers football team and the Dayton Dynamo of the National Premier Soccer League.

Woerner Field at Time Warner Cable Stadium is a baseball field located on the campus of the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio, United States. The field is home to the Dayton Flyers baseball team of the Division I Atlantic 10 Conference. The field holds a capacity of 500 seated fans.

Carillon Historical Park is a 65-acre (26.3 ha) park and museum in Dayton, Ohio, which contains historic buildings and exhibits concerning the history of technology and the history of Dayton and its residents from 1796 to the present. As a part of the University of Dayton, the historical elements of the park were the brainchild of Colonel Edward Deeds. The major sections include settlement, transportation, invention, and industry. The park also contains the Carillon Park Railroad, a 7+1⁄2 in (190.5 mm) gauge miniature railway. In 2005, Carillon Historical Park merged with the Montgomery County Historical Society to form Dayton History.

Newcom Tavern, also known as the "Old Cabin", is an historic structure in Dayton, Ohio and is the city's oldest existing building. It was built in 1796 for Colonel George Newcom and his wife Mary, who ran it as a tavern and hostel. The building passed through several owners, and its historical significance was forgotten until planned construction revealed the original log structure. The building was moved twice and now located in Dayton's Carillon Historical Park and operated as a museum.

The Wright Flyer III was the third powered aircraft by the Wright Brothers, built during the winter of 1904–05. Orville Wright made the first flight with it on June 23, 1905. The Flyer III had an airframe of spruce construction with a wing camber of 1-in-20 as used in 1903, rather than the less effective 1-in-25 used in 1904. The new machine was equipped with the engine and other hardware from the scrapped Flyer II and, after major modifications, achieved much greater performance than Flyers I and II.

Arise Academy was a charter school in Dayton, Ohio. Established in 2004, it suffered chronic funding problems, closing in June 2010. Some school officials were subsequently convicted of bribery and given prison sentences. The school met two of the 12 state indicators for the 2005–2006 school year, earning it a rating of "Continuous Improvement".

David H. Ponitz Career Technology Center is a technical school located in downtown Dayton, Ohio. Ponitz enrolls 800 students in grades 9-12 annually. Ponitz is also part of the Dayton Public School District.

The Rudolph Pretzinger House is a historic residence in southern Dayton, Ohio, United States. Constructed in the late nineteenth century for a prominent local pharmacist, it now abuts a city hospital, but it has been named a historic site.

The hospital has two additional locations; Miami Valley Hospital South in Centerville, Ohio, and Miami Valley Hospital North in Englewood, Ohio. It has the Dayton region's only Level I Trauma Center, a regional adult burn center, and a level 3 neonatal intensive care unit. Miami Valley Hospital has 7,370 employees and 970 beds, and saw over 400,000 outpatient visits in 2007. Miami Valley Hospital's emergency and trauma center contains 72 beds and is the busiest emergency department in Ohio. Miami Valley Hospital also operates three air ambulances known as CareFlight. The Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University is the affiliated university. It also holds recognition as a Magnet hospital, the highest distinction in nursing. The Kelly Family Home is a historic structure at 657 S. Main St. in Dayton, Ohio. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 30, 1975.

The Patterson Homestead is a historic house museum located at 1815 Brown Street in Dayton, Ohio, United States. It was built in 1816 by American Revolutionary War veteran Colonel Robert Patterson. The house was built using Federal architecture in several sections over forty years. In 1953, the house was donated to the city of Dayton and has been used for a variety of purposes. At present time, the museum has six rooms containing period artifacts and original Patterson family artifacts. Robert Patterson's grandsons, John Henry Patterson and Frank Jefferson Patterson lived in the house as young children, and would eventually go on to found the National Cash Register Company (now NCR Corporation) in 1884. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and is currently operated by Dayton History.
