United States Post Office (Beverly, Massachusetts)

The Beverly Depot–Odell Park Historic District encompasses a commercial and industrial area of Beverly, Massachusetts that was developed to its height in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A central theme of the district relates to Beverly's transportation history with several railroad-related buildings, a carriage manufactory and early automobile factory. The district, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014, include two buildings previously listed: the Beverly Depot, built 1896, and the main post office, built 1910.

Beverly Depot is an MBTA Commuter Rail station in Beverly, Massachusetts. Located in Downtown Beverly, it serves the Newburyport/Rockport Line. It is the junction of the line's two branches to Newburyport and Rockport and is served by every train on both branches. The Eastern Railroad was extended through Beverly to Ipswich in 1839. The 1839 station was replaced in 1855; that station was in turn replaced by one designed by Bradford Lee Gilbert in 1897. The station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, and is a contributing property of the Beverly Depot-Odell Park Historic District which was added in 2014. A 500-space parking garage at Beverly opened on August 2, 2014.

The John Cabot House is a historic house at 117 Cabot Street in downtown Beverly, Massachusetts. Built in 1781 by a prominent local businessman and ship owner, it was the town's first brick mansion house. It is now owned by Historic Beverly and open to the public five days a week. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Beverly Historical Society, located in Beverly, Massachusetts, was founded in 1891, and its headquarters is the 1781 John Cabot House, which has two floors of museum exhibits. The collections have grown to more than 750,000 objects, including manuscripts, books, photographs, maps, decorative arts, and other artifacts related to the history of Beverly and the North Shore. The Society acquired two 17th century properties in the 1930s, the John Balch House and the John Hale House, which it opens to the public for guided tours. Throughout its history, the Society has collected, preserved and interpreted Beverly history, offering programs to the general public, as well as to teachers and students. Volunteers are critically important to the vitality and success of the Beverly Historical Society; contributed hours in 2008 exceeded 4800. In order to meet the needs of a diverse and changing constituency, the Society is focused on digitizing our collections and offering more services online to increase access to the collections, as well as increasing the amount of free programming offered each year. The Society's collections include manuscripts, books, photographs, maps, ephemera, decorative arts, and other artifacts related to the history of Beverly and the North Shore of Massachusetts.

The Larcom Theatre is a 600-seat auditorium located at 13 Wallis Street in Beverly, Massachusetts and offers live music, theatrical productions, ballet, and comedy. From 1985 through 2012 the Larcom Theatre housed the two-hour Le Grand David production, An Anthology of Stage Magic. Harris and Glover Ware, two brothers and former vaudeville musicians from Marblehead, Massachusetts built the Larcom in 1912 and named it for the Beverly-born poet Lucy Larcom. In 1984, the Le Grand David Spectacular Magic Company bought the Larcom and launched a restoration project that dwarfed their previous Cabot Street Cinema Theatre restoration. The Larcom Theatre was purchased in 1984 and received a balcony-to-boiler-room renovation. In October 1985 the Le Grand David troupe premiered a second resident production of conjuring, music, comedy and dance "in the style and tradition of the turn of the 19th century."In 1995, the Le Grand David Company opened an expanded wing adjoining the original Larcom structure at 9 Wallis Street. The new wing included: the Grand Salon lobby (appointed in oak, marble, and brass), a full kitchen, rehearsal place, three galleries of Le Grand David apparatus and poster artwork, a library, a meeting room, a guest suite, and a caretaker's apartment. Le Grand David Magic show ended in May 2012 after founder, Cesareo Pelaez, died in March of that year.

Hose House No. 2 is a historic firestation in Beverly, Massachusetts. It now houses a wireless telecommunication systems company. The building was constructed in 1905. It was designed by Kilham & Hopkins in a French Renaissance style. In addition to the traditional brass pole by which firemen reached the ground floor from the upper chambers, it also featured an electrical system which automatically turned on the lights when an alarm was sounded. The building has one garage bay, and a hip roof with ornately decorated and bracketed eaves.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Odd Fellows' Hall in Beverly, Massachusetts occupies a prominent location on Cabot Street opposite city hall in Beverly Center. It is a 3+1⁄2-story High Gothic Revival building constructed in 1893 to a design by local architect J. Foster Ober. Its exterior is clad in brick with trim of granite and brownstone. Its roof is a cross gable style, steep roof with polychrome bands of slate tiles. The central portion of the roof is a deck surrounded by a wrought iron railing and is topped by a cupola and weathervane. One of its notable tenants was President William Howard Taft, who had offices in the building during summer residencies in Beverly.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, and included in the Beverly Center Business District in 1984.

The Hospital Point Range Rear Light is part of a pair of range lights in Beverly, Massachusetts. It is located in the steeple of the First Baptist Church of Beverly.

The Fish Flake Hill Historic District encompasses a section of Front Street in Beverly, Massachusetts that includes a remarkable concentration of colonial buildings, and which was notable for its importance in the American Revolutionary War. The district, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, includes properties on both sides of Front Street between Cabot and Bartlett Streets. It includes houses dating to the middle 18th century, sixteen of which have been documented as being associated with ship captains active in the American Revolutionary War. The port area of Beverly was one of the most active during the war, and was one of the places where many captured ships were brought.

The Beverly Center Business District encompasses much of the historic 19th century commercial heart of Beverly, Massachusetts. Centered on Cabot and Church Streets between Central Street and the Beverly Common, its architecture reflects the city's growth over 150 years. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Cabot Performing Arts Center is located at 286 Cabot Street in Beverly, Massachusetts.

The Beverly rooming house fire took place at the Elliott Chambers, a low-rent rooming house in Beverly, Massachusetts, on July 4, 1984. The fire was set by a man whose ex-girlfriend was going out with someone who was staying in the building. It was the deadliest arson fire in Massachusetts, the deadliest fire in the state since the Cocoanut Grove fire in 1942, and the deadliest fire in Beverly's history.
