Good Morning Gloucester is a longstanding blog created by Gloucester, Massachusetts lobster broker Joey Ciaramitaro. GMG is a snapshot of living and working on the docks of the oldest commercial fishing harbor in the United States.

The North Shore Art Association of East Gloucester, Massachusetts is one of the oldest art associations in the United States. Founded in 1922, it was the gathering place of some of the great American artists of the 20th century. Childe Hassam, Emile Gruppe, Harry Aiken Vincent, Paul Strisik, Fredrick Mulhaupt, Winslow Homer and many others were early members of the NSAA. Other members include Louise Herreshoff.

East Gloucester Square Historic District is a historic district encapsulating the evolutionary history of the active maritime community of Gloucester, Massachusetts, United States, over a period of more than 200 years. East Gloucester is located on the south side of Gloucester's Inner Harbor, opposite the city's main downtown area. The district is essentially linear in character extending along East Main Street between Rocky Neck Avenue and Montgomery Place, with a southward extension along Highland, Chapel, and Plum Streets to Mount Pleasant Avenue. East Main Street was formally laid out in 1704 to East Gloucester Square (its junction with Highland Street), and provides access to numerous waterfront facilities, including stone wharves and 19th century ship building and repair facilities. Housing is set on the roads leading up the hill from East Gloucester Square, and is generally densely set Greek Revival or Italianate in style, reflecting the dominant period of the area's development, the mid-to-late 19th century. Higher style residences were placed on larger lots on Mount Pleasant Avenue.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Adventure is a gaff rigged knockabout schooner. She was built in Essex, Massachusetts, USA, and launched in 1926 to work the Grand Banks fishing grounds out of Gloucester. She is one of only two surviving knockabout fishing schooners – ships designed without bowsprits for the safety of her crew. Adventure was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1994, underwent a substantial restoration in 2012, and sails today in the tourist trade out of Gloucester.

Gloucester Marine Railways (established 1859) is one of the oldest continuously operated shipyards in the U.S. And is located on the northern tip of Rocky Neck in Gloucester, Massachusetts.Originally an extension of the Dodd & Tarr Fisheries, the railways at this site were constructed in 1859 on the northernmost tip of Rocky Neck. Up until the 1970s the marine railways used a steam engine to haul vessels, the gears of this steam engine were built at the same factory that built the motor for the USS Monitor, the Civil War battleship. In 1874 the site was given the name "Rocky Neck Marine Railways Association" by the Tarr brothers after they took over the firm of Dodd & Tarr. The railways were used to maintain the Gloucester fishing fleet of schooners that fished the water of the Grand Banks. Now known as Gloucester Marine Railways, the shipyard has maintained and repaired thousands of fishing, commercial, and pleasure boats. Large wooden schooners are still commonplace here. A modern Travelift has been installed but the original railways are still in operation to this day. The site was used as a location in the shooting of the 2000 film The Perfect Storm.

The Webster-Lane House is a historic house in Gloucester, Massachusetts. The two-story wood-frame Greek Revival house was built sometime before 1845, when it first appears on city maps. It was occupied by Nathaniel Webster, a hotel proprietor and ice dealer, between at least 1851 and 1860. It was also occupied, from at least 1869 until 1900, buy Samuel R. Lane, a major merchant and shipper of fish products. Some of the house's Greek Revival features, most notably its columned porch, are unique in the city.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Our Lady of Good Voyage Church is a historic Roman Catholic church at 136-144 Prospect Street and 2-4 Taylor Street in Gloucester, Massachusetts. The first church on the site was built in 1892 to serve a large Portuguese immigrant population that came to Gloucester to work in the fishery. That church burned in 1914, and this Spanish Revival building, designed to resemble the Santa Maria Madalena church in the Azorean community of Madalena on the island of Pico. The church also includes one of the oldest sets of full carillon bells in the United States.The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Fitz Henry Lane House is a historic house at 8 Harbor Loop Road, on the harbor side of Rogers Street in Gloucester, Massachusetts. The three-story stone Gothic Revival building was designed and built in 1849 by the artist Fitz Henry Lane, and was his home until his death in 1865. The building now sits in a municipal park, and has a commanding view of the harbor.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. At that time, it was known as the "Fitz Hugh Lane House," but the Register changed the name in 2010.

The Folly Cove Designers were a mid-20th-century group of American artists block printing in Gloucester, Massachusetts, on Cape Ann. Their blocks were made of linoleum, and they primarily printed on fabric.
