Cuxham

Cuxham with Easington is a civil parish in South Oxfordshire. It includes the villages of Cuxham and Easington. The 2011 Census recorded a parish population of 149, unchanged from the census ten years' prior, and its area is 3.18 km², the third smallest in the district of those shown in the 2011 census.

Henley is a constituency in Oxfordshire represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2008 by John Howell, a Member of Parliament from the Conservative Party.Under the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the constituency will only be subject to minor boundary changes, but is to be renamed Henley and Thame - to be first contested at the next general election.

Its council is temporarily based outside the district at Abingdon-on-Thames pending a planned move to Didcot, the district's largest town. The areas located south of the River Thames are within the historic county of Berkshire.

Britwell Salome is a village and civil parish in South Oxfordshire, England centred 4+1⁄2 miles (7 km) northeast of Wallingford. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 204.

Easington is a small village in the civil parish of Cuxham with Easington, in the South Oxfordshire district, in the county of Oxfordshire, England. It is about 5.5 miles (9 km) north of Wallingford and about 6 miles (10 km) south of Thame. In 1931 the parish had a population of 20. On 1 April 1932 the parish was abolished and merged with Cuxham to form "Cuxham with Easington".

Brightwell Baldwin is a village and civil parish in Oxfordshire, about 4+1⁄2 miles (7 km) northeast of Wallingford. It was historically in the Hundred of Ewelme and is now in the District of South Oxfordshire. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 208. The parish is roughly rectangular, about 2+1⁄2 miles (4 km) long north–south and about 1+1⁄4 miles (2 km) wide east–west. In 1848 the parish covered an area of 1,569 acres (635 ha). The B4009 road linking Benson and Watlington forms part of the southern boundary of the parish. The B480 road linking Oxford and Watlington forms a small part of its northern boundary. Rumbolds Lane forms much of its western boundary. For the remainder the parish is bounded largely by field boundaries.

Knightsbridge Lane is a 1.7-hectare (4.2-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest just north of Watlington, Oxfordshire.This site consists of woodland on the sides of a minor road, which has approximately one tenth of the population in the country of a very rare plant, green hound's tongue. It is listed in the British Red Data Book of vascular plants, and it is found at only seven other locations in Britain. The species is often found in disturbed soils, and may have increased following the clearance of dead elm trees.

Watlington is a small market town and civil parish about 7 miles (11 km) south of Thame in Oxfordshire, near the county's eastern edge and less than 2 miles (3 km) from its border with Buckinghamshire. The parish includes the hamlets of Christmas Common, Greenfield and Howe Hill, all of which are in the Chiltern Hills. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 2,727.

Icknield Community College is a coeducational secondary school located in Watlington, Oxfordshire, England. It offers tuition for years 7-11 (ages 11–16), culminating in the GCSE exams, and has humanities specialist status. The school is situated next to Watlington Primary School. Icknield admits students from its catchment area covering, in addition to Watlington itself, the nearby Oxfordshire villages of Chinnor, Chalgrove, Benson and others, as well from Stokenchurch across the county border in Buckinghamshire.In its March 2015 Ofsted inspection, the school was rated "Good".In 2017, Icknield converted to academy status, and joined the Acer Trust, a multi-academy trust of Oxfordshire schools.

Pyrton is a small village and large civil parish in Oxfordshire about 1 mile (1.6 km) north of the small town of Watlington and 5 miles (8 km) south of Thame. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 227. The toponym is from the Old English meaning "pear-tree farm".

St Mary's Church is the Church of England parish church of Pyrton, Oxfordshire, England. Its parish is part of the benefice of Icknield, in the deanery of Aston and Cuddesdon, the archdeaconry of Oxford and the diocese of Oxford. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Orange Bakery is an artisanal bakery and baked goods shop located in Watlington, Oxfordshire, UK. It was started in 2019 by Kitty Tait with the help of her father, Alex, when she was aged 15 and battling with mental health issues.What began as a private pastime and a form of self-care grew into a business, first in the form of a weekly pop-up shop, followed by the crowdfunded opening of a full-time bakery store in May 2019.The Taits have written a book, Breadsong: How Baking Changed Our Lives (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2022), based on their experiences, which also includes baking recipes.
