Cockpole Green

Crazies Hill is a hamlet in the English county of Berkshire. It adjoins the hamlet of Cockpole Green. For local government purposes, the village is within the civil parish of Wargrave, which in turn is within the unitary authority of Wokingham. Crazies Hill Church of England Primary School is located in the village. About 0.6 miles (1 km) on the road to Wargrave is Hennerton Golf Club. The Village Hall was originally built to serve also as a Mission church and still contains the paraphernalia of an altar etc. behind folding doors.Summerfield House, which is set in 23 acres (9.3 ha) of beautiful grounds and landscaped gardens, was originally built in 1790 as the Town Hall at nearby Henley-on-Thames. It was moved to Crazies Hill by Major WHM Willis during 1898 when the new Town Hall was built. He had the facade including the cupola and entrance hall re-erected here as the basis for his new country house originally called Crazies. By the side of a woodland track to the south of the hamlet is Rebecca's Well. This is the site of the spring which used to be the hamlet's water supply. In 1870, the curate of Wargrave, the Rev Grenville Phillimore, invited subscriptions to fund a proper basin for the spring to keep the water clean. Later further money was raised to build a brick structure around the spring to keep out fallen leaves and other debris.

Bowsey Hill is a hill in Berkshire, England. Rising to a height of 140 metres, it has some five or six houses on its summit.

RAF Henley-on-Thames is a former Royal Air Force grass-strip airfield in Berkshire, England, located near Henley-on-Thames. It was also known by a variety of other names: Cockpole Green, Upper Culham Farm, Crazies Hill, or Crazies Hill Farm.

Warren Row is a village in Berkshire, England, and part of the civil parish of Hurley. The settlement lies between the A321 road, A4 and A4130 roads, and is located approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) southeast of Henley-on-Thames. It contains a green tin tabernacle church.

Hurley Chalk Pit is a 1-hectare (2.5-acre) nature reserve west of Maidenhead in Berkshire. It is managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.This chalk pit, which was dug more than 150 years ago, is warm and sheltered and it has 15 species of butterfly, including common blues and gatekeepers. There are varied habitats, with woodland, scrub, grassland and hedges.There is access from a footpath which runs north from Warren Row.

Upper Culham is a hamlet in the English county of Berkshire, within the civil parish of Wargrave. The settlement lies near to the A4130 road, and is located approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) east of Henley-on-Thames.

Rodbed Wood is a 2.2-hectare (5.4-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Medmenham in Buckinghamshire. It is in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.The site is wet willow and alder woodland close to the River Thames, fed by a ditch from neighbouring water meadows. The understorey has blackthorn, hawthorn and guelder rose. There is a diverse flora, including the nationally rare summer snowflake. There is a varied bird population and rich invertebrate fauna.The site is private land, but it is crossed by a public footpath from the A4155 road to the river.

Black Boy Island is an uninhabited island in the River Thames in England between the villages of Medmenham, Buckinghamshire and Hurley, Berkshire. It is situated alongside the small hamlet of Frogmill, on the southern side of the stretch of river above Hurley Lock, and is within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead unitary authority. The island is very low-lying, such that it is covered with water whenever the Thames floods. It is now heavily wooded, but up until the 1920s it and the adjacent Frog Mill Ait were without vegetation. This was because the towpath was (and still is) on the southern side of the island whilst the boats being towed along by horses had to keep to the main navigation channel on the northern side of the river. The tow lines had to sweep over the islands, and the angle of tow was such that barges could be pulled aground onto the islands.

Frog Mill Ait is an island in the River Thames in England between the villages of Medmenham, Buckinghamshire and Hurley, Berkshire. It is situated on the reach above Hurley Lock. The island is named after a mill on the bank here. Frog Mill Ait and the adjacent Black Boy Island presented a problem to navigation because the towpath was on the other side of the island from the main navigation channel. Hence tow lines had to sweep over the islands, often with the result that barges were pulled onto the shore.The name "Poisson Deux" is associated with the area, and this is believed to derive from fish ducts or traps in the river here.

Magpie Island is an island in the River Thames in England near the villages of Aston, Berkshire and Medmenham, Buckinghamshire. It is situated on the reach above Hurley Lock. Navigation is believed to have passed originally down the present backwater which was then cluttered with eel bucks. In the eighteenth century the island was part of the Culham Court estate.

Hare Hatch is a village in Berkshire, England, and part of the civil parish of Ruscombe. According to the Post Office the majority of the population at the 2011 Census was included in the civil parish of Wargrave. The settlement lies near to the A4 road, and is located approximately 7 miles (11 km) north-east of Reading. It is close to Twyford, and also lies approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) west of Maidenhead. On 27 April 1927 seven Reading FC fans were killed when their bus crashed in Hare Hatch on the way home from a match against Chelsea.

Kiln Green is a small village in the civil parish of Wargrave in the English county of Berkshire. It is at grid reference SU813784 on the A4 Bath Road between Knowl Hill to the east and Hare Hatch to the west. The village includes Linden Hill to the north and Scarletts to the south. It is the location of Castle Royle Golf Country Club, which includes a gym, a swimming pool and a golf course.
