The Georgetown East Main Street Residential District is a 22 acres (8.9 ha) historic district located in Georgetown, Kentucky. The area was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It included 41 contributing buildings.The district has an irregular shape, generally running along Main St. between Warrendale Ave. and Mulberry St.A few properties in the district are: Scott County Post Office (1914–15) Georgetown Presbyterian (1865–70), brick Gothic Revival church Shropshire House, separately listed James Emison House (1820), one half of a two-story double brick house

Baptist Seminary of Kentucky (BSK) is a Baptist theological institute located in Lexington, Kentucky. It is affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc. The Baptist Seminary of Kentucky has its origins in a 1996 project of the Kentucky Baptist Fellowship (Cooperative Baptist Fellowship). The school began in 2002 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington. In 2010, it moved in Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky. In 2020, it became a partner of the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc.. In 2022, it moved to Central Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky.Baptist Seminary of Kentucky (BSK) is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (ATS). The Master of Divinity degree program is approved by the Commission on Accrediting.

Giddings Hall, originally called Recitation Hall, is a Greek Revival building located on the campus of Georgetown College in Scott County, Kentucky. Georgetown was the first Baptist college founded west of the Allegheny Mountains, and Giddings Hall was the first permanent structure constructed after the college was formed. The building is named after Rockwood Giddings, the third president of the school. The property was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on February 6, 1973.

Chartered in 1787, Georgetown was the first Baptist college west of the Appalachian Mountains.The college offers 38 undergraduate degrees and a Master of Arts in education. In addition to the spring, the park has a log cabin built by a former slave, Milton Leach. The park was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on April 2, 1973.

It is the seat of its county. It was originally called Lebanon when founded by Rev. Elijah Craig and was renamed in 1790 in honor of President George Washington. Historically, settlers were drawn to Georgetown for its Royal Spring.It is the home of Georgetown College, a private liberal arts college. Georgetown is part of the Lexington-Fayette, KY Metropolitan Statistical Area. At one time the city served as the training camp home for the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals. The city's growth began in the mid-1980s, when Toyota built Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, its first wholly owned United States plant, in Georgetown. The plant opened in 1988; it builds the Camry, Camry Hybrid, Avalon, Lexus ES, and RAV4 Hybrid automobiles.

The Branham House is residential dwelling located in the South Broadway Neighborhood Historic District in Georgetown, Kentucky. The property was individually listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1973.It is the oldest house in the City of Georgetown, which was incorporated in 1790, and was probably built in the 1790s. It is a two-story three-bay brick house, on a stone foundation, with some frame elements. Its Greek Revival front portico was added later.

Garth School is an historic school building located on South Broadway Street in Georgetown, Kentucky. Built in 1925 as a high school, the building currently houses Garth Elementary School. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 16, 1988.It is a Collegiate Gothic-style 250 by 110 feet (76 m × 34 m) red brick building with stone trim. It overlooks a 6 acres (2.4 ha) lawn with two terraces.
