Royal Spring Park is the site of a large spring in Georgetown, Kentucky, that since the earliest settlements in the area has provided water for the area. In addition to the spring, the park has a log cabin built by a former slave, Milton Leach. The park was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on April 2, 1973.

Georgetown is a home rule-class city in Scott County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 37,086 at the 2020 census. It is the 6th-largest city by population in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It is the seat of its county. It was originally called Lebanon when founded by Rev. Elijah Craig and was renamed in 1790 in honor of President George Washington. Historically, settlers were drawn to Georgetown for its Royal Spring.It is the home of Georgetown College, a private liberal arts college. Georgetown is part of the Lexington-Fayette, KY Metropolitan Statistical Area. At one time the city served as the training camp home for the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals. The city's growth began in the mid-1980s, when Toyota built Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, its first wholly owned United States plant, in Georgetown. The plant opened in 1988; it builds the Camry, Camry Hybrid, Avalon, Lexus ES, and RAV4 Hybrid automobiles.

The Johnston–Jacobs House is a Greek Revival style brick house located near downtown Georgetown, Kentucky. The original structure was built in approximately 1795 by Adam Johnston for use as a tavern-inn. The property was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on October 2, 1973.

The Branham House is residential dwelling located in the South Broadway Neighborhood Historic District in Georgetown, Kentucky. The property was individually listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1973.It is the oldest house in the City of Georgetown, which was incorporated in 1790, and was probably built in the 1790s. It is a two-story three-bay brick house, on a stone foundation, with some frame elements. Its Greek Revival front portico was added later.

Scott County Jail Complex located in Georgetown, Kentucky served as the Scott County jail from 1892 until 1990. Currently, the building houses the Scott County Arts & Cultural Center. The building is designated a Kentucky Landmark. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. The Jailer's Dwelling, built in 1892, is a brick Italianate-style two-story three-bay building on stone foundation. It is 44 by 21 feet (13.4 m × 6.4 m) in plan, not including an ell which extends an additional 18 feet (5.5 m) to the rear.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (also known as the Church of the Holy Trinity) is an Episcopal Church located in Georgetown, Kentucky.

First African Baptist Church and Parsonage is an historically significant church building and an associated parsonage located in the United States on West Jefferson Avenue in Georgetown, Kentucky. In 1842, First Baptist Church moved from their West Jefferson location to a site closer to Georgetown College on College and Hamilton Streets. The church's previous building and property were leased to local black Baptists so a new congregation solely for blacks could be formed. The current building was constructed in 1870. The buildings were added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Baptist Seminary of Kentucky (BSK) is a Baptist theological institute located in Lexington, Kentucky. It is affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc. The Baptist Seminary of Kentucky has its origins in a 1996 project of the Kentucky Baptist Fellowship (Cooperative Baptist Fellowship). The school began in 2002 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington. In 2010, it moved in Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky. In 2020, it became a partner of the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc.. In 2022, it moved to Central Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky.Baptist Seminary of Kentucky (BSK) is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (ATS). The Master of Divinity degree program is approved by the Commission on Accrediting.

The Shropshire House is a Greek Revival Federal style house located in the East Main Street Residential Historic District in Georgetown, Kentucky. The house was the built in 1814 by John and Mary (Gano) Buckner. The property was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on April 2, 1973.

Garth School is an historic school building located on South Broadway Street in Georgetown, Kentucky. Built in 1925 as a high school, the building currently houses Garth Elementary School. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 16, 1988.It is a Collegiate Gothic-style 250 by 110 feet (76 m × 34 m) red brick building with stone trim. It overlooks a 6 acres (2.4 ha) lawn with two terraces.

Millspring is an historic house in Georgetown, Kentucky. It is the last remaining building situated on the original 27-acre (110,000 m2) tract patented by the Rev. Elijah Craig (ca. 1740–1808), founder of Georgetown, as the first industrial park west of the Alleghenies. It was also the site of the first papermill in the region and one of the first production sites for Kentucky Bourbon. The ell of the present structure, a small Georgian house, was constructed in 1789 by Craig. The two-story section was constructed by Gen. Richard M. Gano in 1812. While the ell originally faced the Royal Spring Branch, and the two-story section faced north, it was reoriented later to face North Broadway (Cincinnati Pike) and remodeled in the popular bracketed style by Hiram E. Stedman ca. 1860. The older sections of the house retain the original ash floors, paneled doors, paneled cupboards on the side of the fireplaces and original mantels in Kentucky Georgian and Federal style. After Craig's death the house passed to his son-in-law, Samuel Grant, who was killed by Indians. Afterward the house was purchased by Gano, who commanded a regiment at the Battle of the Thames, and who—in collaboration with his brother-in-law—developed the city of Covington, Kentucky. At Gano's death, the property passed to Dr. Wm. H. Richardson, first professor of obstetrics and Dean of Transylvania Medical School, who brought the paper-making Stedman family to Georgetown.

The Payne-Desha House is a historic house located on land west of Royal Spring Branch near downtown Georgetown, Kentucky, USA that was built in 1814 by Robert Payne, a Kentucky war hero from the Battle of the Thames. Also, the house was the last residence of Joseph Desha, the ninth governor of Kentucky.The property was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on December 2, 1974.
