Grant Park High School

The Pan Am Pool is an indoor swimming facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada built for the 1967 Pan American Games. It is located in southwest Winnipeg and consists of three pools: two are used for competitive swimming and one is a children's "kiddie pool".

River Heights is a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created by redistribution in 1957, and formally came into existence in the 1958 provincial election. The riding is located in the south-central region of the City of Winnipeg. River Heights is bordered on the east by Lord Roberts and Fort Rouge, to the south by Fort Whyte, to the north by Wolseley, and to the west by Tuxedo. The riding's population in 1996 was 19,950. The riding's character is middle-class and upper-middle class. In 1999, the average family income was $77,701, and the unemployment rate was 5.90%. River Heights includes many of Winnipeg's oldest and most stately homes: the average value of dwelling house in the riding in 1999 was $117,937. River Heights has a significant Jewish population, at 9% of the total. 38.5% of the riding's residents have university degrees, the highest percentage in the province. Voter turnout also tends to be extremely high in this riding, usually at over 80% of the eligible population. The service sector accounts for 15% of the River Heights's industry, with educational services following at 14%. From 1958 to 1986, River Heights was represented by members of the Progressive Conservative Party. Since that time, however, it has generally been represented by leaders of the provincial Liberal Party. Sharon Carstairs represented the riding from 1986 until her appointment to the Senate of Canada in 1994, and Jon Gerrard has represented the riding since 1999. The Liberal Party has many prominent backers in this riding, including members of the Asper family (see Izzy Asper).

Rockwood is a neighbourhood in the River Heights area of south-central Winnipeg, Manitoba. Its borders are Corydon Avenue on the north, Stafford Street on the east, Grant Avenue to the south, and Cambridge Street to the west. Adjacent neighbourhoods are Crescentwood to the north, Grant Park to the south, Central River Heights to the West, and Earl Grey (Fort Rouge) to the east.Except the homes between Harrow and Stafford Street, the neighbourhood features primarily post WWII single-storey bungalow homes.

St. Ignatius School is a Roman Catholic school in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was opened on January 12, 1911, by the Parish of St. Ignatius. The school is located in the neighborhood of Rockwood in the River Heights area. The school and church share one city block, bounded by Corydon Avenue to the north, Jessie Avenue to the south, Stafford Street to the east and Harrow Street to the west. The school serves 240 co-ed students from Nursery to Grade 8. The school is the only Catholic school N-8 in Winnipeg that does not wear uniforms. An electrical fire on February 20, 2007, damaged the oldest remaining wing - originally built in 1956. These were rebuilt and classes resumed by the fall of 2007.

St Ignatius Church is a Roman Catholic Parish church in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was founded in 1908 by the Society of Jesus and went on to found St. Ignatius School. It is situated on the corner of Stafford Street and Corydon Avenue on the south side of the Assiniboine River.

Manitoba Electrical Museum and Education Centre is a museum in Winnipeg, Manitoba, dedicated to the electrical history of Manitoba. It is a volunteer-run organization housed in a converted electrical substation building.The Museum is affiliated with: CMA, CHIN, and Virtual Museum of Canada.

Kelvin High School is a public high school in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The school is located in the neighbourhood of River Heights. Kelvin teaches grades 9 to 12 and is part of the South District of the Winnipeg School Division.

Ohr HaTorah Day School was an Orthodox Jewish day school, located in the River Heights neighbourhood of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It existed between 1998 - 2011, when it closed due to declining enrollment. The school was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who were interested in a combination of high-level studies in both Torah and general subjects. They did not think such studies were available at other schools in Winnipeg.
