Highlands Historic District (Fall River, Massachusetts)

The Diocese of Fall River (Latin: Dioecesis Riverormensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory, or diocese, of the Catholic Church in southeastern Massachusetts in the United States. It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Boston. The mother church of the diocese is St. Mary's Cathedral in Fall River. The patron saint of the diocese is Mary, mother of Jesus. The current bishop as of 2023 is Edgar Moreira da Cunha.

The Osborn House is a historic house at 456 Rock Street in Fall River, Massachusetts, built in the Greek Revival style.

The Barnabus Blossom House is a historic house located at 244 Grove Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. Built in about 1800, it is one of the city's oldest surviving buildings, and significant local example of Federal architecture.

The William C. Davol Jr. House is a historic house located at 252 High Street in Fall River, Massachusetts.

The Nathan Read House is a historic house located at 506 North Main Street in Fall River, Massachusetts.

The Bristol County Superior Court is a historic courthouse at 441 N. Main Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. It is a monumental three story granite structure, with a five-story square tower at one corner. The oldest portion of the building, the main courthouse was designed by New Bedford architect Robert H. Slack, and was completed in 1889. Connected to the courthouse is the deed registry, a similar structure built in 1930 to a design by Fall River architect Edward M. Corbett. The building is Fall River's finest and most imposing example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The John Mace Smith House is a historic house at 399 N. Main Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. The house was built in 1844 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is a small Greek Revival "temple front" house. Deeds show that the land, part of the Rodman Farm was surveyed in 1837 and sold by Samuel Rodman to John M. Smith for $1200 on 11/6/1843. Not much is known about Smith - he was associated with the American Print Works in 1859. The house was passed on the Lydia P. Fellows, the daughter of Smith, and wife of the Rev. H. S. Fellows. In the 1890s John Coughlin, a physician lived here: he may be responsible for the building of the ell, as he kept his office and home here. One of a cluster of outstanding Greek Revival houses on North Main Street, built by early mill-owners and prosperous merchants in the downtown area after the 1843 fire. This building, like the majority of the others has certain signature elements reminiscent of Russell Warren's work, most notably the cantilevered "flying staircase", floor plan and moulding details. The high quality of design and workmanship may be attributable to Russell Warren, a prominent Rhode Island architect and proponent of the Greek Revival. The high architectural quality, the relative scarcity of buildings of this age and type, and their association with figures important in the industrial and commercial development of Fall River.

B.M.C. Durfee High School is an historic former high school building at 289 Rock Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. The school was built in 1886 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. In 1978, it was replaced by the current B.M.C. Durfee High School building. The old building was restored in the early 1990s and is now operated as a probate and family courthouse by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Woman's Club of Fall River is a historic building at 1542 Walnut Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. It was originally constructed in 1897 and remodeled in 1925 in the Colonial Revival style, by local architect Maude Darling Parlin, a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Notable Colonial Revival features include the projecting entrance pavilion, which has a fully pedimented gable with oriel window, Corinthian pilasters separating the baysm and a pedimented entry with transom window.The building was originally a private school. During the 1910s it served as St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church before its adaptation for use by the Woman's Club.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The William Lindsey House is a historic house located at 373 North Main Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. It was designed by Rhode Island architect Russell Warren in 1844 for William Lindsey, a local merchant. It is one of seven extant monumental temple-fronted Greek Revival houses in Fall River, along with the John Mace Smith House next door. It is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, five bays wide, with a hip roof topped by an octagonal cupola. The Greek temple front consists of a fully pedimented gable and entablature supported by four fluted Corinthian columns.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is used for law offices.

Fall River station (Fall River Depot) is an under-construction MBTA Commuter Rail station in Fall River, Massachusetts. The station is being constructed as part of the South Coast Rail project and is expected to open in mid-2024.

The William M. Manley House is a historic house located in Fall River, Massachusetts. The brick house was built in 1876. The double-bay wooden storefronts / porches were added around 1894 and expanded in 1916. The house is an unusual Italianate brick villa with a matching carriage house. William Manley, a mason and builder had his office and house located here in 1876. He sold the property to the Taunton Brick Co. who held the property until 1887 when they sold it to the Second Baptist Society of Fall River. They used it as a parsonage until 1909. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
