Lille Laboratory of Electrical Engineering and Power Electronics

The Laboratoire de mécanique de Lille (LML) is a French research laboratory (UMR CNRS 8107) part of the Carnot institute ARTS. More than 200 people work in this laboratory which was created in 1985. It supports academic activities in the following graduate schools : Arts et Métiers ParisTech (ENSAM) École centrale de Lille University of Lille.It supports doctoral researches and hosts PhD doctoral candidates in relationship with the European Doctoral College Lille Nord de France.

The Institute of Electronics, Microelectronics and Nanotechnology or IEMN (Institut d'électronique de microélectronique et de nanotechnologie in French) is a research institute of University of Lille, CNRS and École Centrale de Lille (UMR CNRS 8520).

The Laboratoire d'Automatique, Génie Informatique et Signal (LAGIS) is a French research laboratory (UMR CNRS 8146) located on the Science campus of the University of Lille. It is hosted in the premises of École centrale de Lille. Since January 2015, the LAGIS has merged with another laboratory, the Laboratoire d'Informatique Fondamentale de Lille (LIFL). The resulting laboratory is now CRIStAL.

The Institut industriel du Nord (IDN) was the engineering school and research institute at École Centrale de Lille from 1872 to 1991, within the campus of the Lille University of Science and Technology (France).

Unité de catalyse et de chimie du solide de Lille (Laboratory of Catalysis and Solid State Chemistry - UCCS) is a French research laboratory (UMR CNRS 8181) focused on process engineering and chemical engineering. It is located in Lille, Lens and Béthune and is a part of COMUE Lille Nord de France. It is affiliated to the Institut des molécules et de la matière condensée de Lille (IMMCL-Chevreul). UCCS research teams support academic activities in the following sites of the COMUE Lille Nord de France : École centrale de Lille École nationale supérieure de chimie de Lille University of Lille Artois UniversityIt supports doctoral researches and hosts PhD doctoral candidates in relationship with the European Doctoral College Lille Nord de France.

École polytechnique universitaire de Lille (Polytech Lille) is a French engineering College created in 1974. It is one of the 204 Colleges accredited by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieurs (CTI). Polytech Lille is located on the Cité Scientifique campus in Villeneuve d'Ascq, France, a suburb of the French city of Lille. It is a public school part of the University of Lille as well as the Polytech group, the largest group of engineering colleges in France. The college's official name is "Ecole polytechnique universitaire de Lille" or " University Polytechnic School of Lille" as stated in the decree n°2002-468 dated 4 avril 2002, however the usual name is "Polytech Lille". It was established in 2002 following the fusion of the EUDIL (former name) with the IAAL and IESP colleges and the creation of the Polytech Group.

The Laboratoire d'Informatique Fondamentale de Lille (LIFL), is a computer science research laboratory of University of Lille, in Lille, France. LIFL was founded in 1983 and currently employs more than 200 employees. Since January 2015, the LIFL has merged with another laboratory, the Laboratoire d'Automatique, Génie Informatique et Signal (LAGIS). The resulting laboratory is now CRIStAL. Most of the projects and teams at LIFL are supported and funded by the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (INRIA).

TELECOM Lille (formerly ENIC) was a French public Grande école (engineering school).TELECOM Lille was located on the science campus of the University of Lille in Villeneuve d'Ascq near Lille. TELECOM Lille was part of Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT). In 2017, TELECOM Lille merges with the École des Mines Douai and becomes École des Mines-Télécom de Lille-Douai (IMT Lille Douai).

The Lille 1 University of Science and Technology (French: Université Lille 1 : Sciences et Technologies, USTL) was a French university located on a dedicated main campus in Villeneuve d'Ascq, near Lille (Hauts-de-France - European Metropolis of Lille), with 20,000 full-time students plus 14,500 students in continuing education (2004). 1,310 permanent faculty members plus 1,200 staff and around 140 CNRS researchers work there in the different University Lille 1 institutes and 43 research labs. University Lille 1 was a member of the European Doctoral College Lille Nord de France, which produces 400 doctorate dissertations every year. The university is ranked in the world top 200 universities in mathematics by the Shanghai ranking.University Lille 1 was established as Faculty of Science in 1854 in Lille, although its academic roots extend back to 1559. It later moved to Villeneuve d'Ascq in 1967. The University focuses on science and technology. Law, business management and medical fields are taught in the independent campus of Université de Lille II, while literature and social sciences are taught as part of the independent campus of Université de Lille III. Altogether, the three university in Lille include more than 70,000 students and are the main parts of the Community of Universities and Institutions (COMUE) Lille Nord de France. At the beginning of 2018, the three universities (Lille 1, Lille 2, Lille 3) merged to form the University of Lille; the UFRs of Lille 1 become Departments of the new Faculty of Science and Technology.

The Stade Pierre-Mauroy, also known as the Decathlon Arena – Stade Pierre-Mauroy for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-use retractable roof stadium in Villeneuve-d'Ascq (Métropole Européenne de Lille), France, that opened in August 2012. It has a seating capacity of 50,186 and is the home stadium of Lille OSC. Initially named Grand Stade Lille Métropole, the stadium was renamed on 21 June 2013, just after the death of the former Mayor of Lille and former Prime Minister of France Pierre Mauroy (1928–2013).

The Hôtel de Ville (French pronunciation: [otɛl də vil], City Hall) is a municipal building in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, Nord in northern France, standing on Place Salvador-Allende.

Haute Borne is a new district of Villeneuve d'Ascq city, in France. It hosts the Haute Borne European scientific park. The aim of this area is to be home from high-tech companies and research and development centers, which can take advantage of laboratories and researchers of the University of Lille close to Haute Borne. Haute Borne hosts notably French National Centre for Scientific Research, National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control, Ajilon IT, Cofidis, McCain Foods, Tate & Lyle and Xerox.
