Minami-Ōdaka Station (南大高駅, Minami-Ōdaka-eki) is a railway station in Midori-ku, Nagoya, Japan, operated by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Tōkai).

The Siege of Marune (丸根砦の戦い) was a battle during the Sengoku period (16th century) of Japan. Marune was a frontier fortress in the possession of Oda Nobunaga. Matsudaira Motoyasu (who would later come to be known as Tokugawa Ieyasu) was at the time a forced retainer of the Imagawa, captured the fortress as part of the Imagawa advance that led to the fateful Battle of Okehazama in 1560. Throughout Motoyasu's siege of the castle, he and his men were not present at the Battle of Okehazama where Imagawa Yoshimoto was killed in Nobunaga's surprise assault. In this siege, Motoyasu made good use of concentrated arquebus fire. Later during the siege, Sakuma Morishige the commander of the fortress, was killed by a bullet.

Aichi Korean Middle and High School (愛知朝鮮中高級学校, Aichi Chōsen Chūkōkyūgakkō), Korean: 아이찌조선중고급학교) is a North Korea-aligned Korean international school in Toyoake, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, in the Nagoya metropolitan area. As of 2013, the principal is Hwang In-suk.As of 2013, many students are officially stateless(Due to them being assigned the Chōsen-seki); some of them are South Korean citizens and some are naturalized Japanese citizens. Overall most students are fourth and/or fifth generation Zainichi Koreans. As of the same year, students who are close to graduating take trips to North Korea.

Ohkagakuen University (桜花学園大学, Ōka gakuen daigaku) is a women's private university headquartered in Toyoake, Aichi, Japan, with its so-called Nagoya Campus there. There is another campus in Toyota, Aichi. The school was established in 1990 as a junior college and then became a four-year college in 1998. The earliest predecessor was a nursing school established in 1903, which became a girls' high school in 1923, which continues to operate today.

Nagoya College (名古屋短期大学, Nagoya tanki daigaku) is a private women's junior college in the city of Toyoake in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Although actually in Toyoake, the school is very close to the city of Nagoya. The predecessor of the school, a women's school, was founded in 1923, and it was chartered as a junior college in 1955.

Arimatsu (有松町, Arimatsu-chō) is a town in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It houses the Arimatsu Station of the Meitetsu-Nagoya Line, roughly 11 kilometres (11,000 m) southeast of downtown Nagoya. The town merged into Nagoya on 1 December 1964, and became a part of Midori-ku, Nagoya.The town is known for being the location of the Battle of Okehazama in 1560, where Oda Nobunaga defeated Imagawa Yoshimoto and established himself as one of the front-running warlords in the Sengoku period. The town is also well-known for being the historical centre of shibori, or traditional Japanese tie-dye, and has supported the industry since the 17th century, dating back to 1608.

Narumi-juku (鳴海宿, Narumi-juku) was the fortieth of the fifty-three stations of the Tōkaidō. It is located in former Owari Province in what is now part of the Midori-ku section of the city of Nagoya, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

Sakyōyama Station (左京山駅, Sakyōyama-eki) is a railway station in Midori-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, operated by Meitetsu.

Midori-ku (緑区, Midori-ku) is one of the 16 wards of the city of Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 October 2019, the ward had an estimated population of 247,475 and a population density of 6,528 persons per km2. The total area was 37.91 km2. It is the largest of the wards of Nagoya in terms of population.

Arimatsu Station (有松駅, Arimatsu-eki) is a railway station in Midori-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, operated by Meitetsu.

Ōtaka Castle (大高城, Ōtaka-jō) was a Sengoku period flatland-style Japanese castle located in what is now part of Midori Ward of the city of Nagoya, Aichi in the Tōkai region of Japan. The ruins, together with that of the detached fortresses of Marune-toride (丸根砦跡) and Washizu-toride (鷲津砦跡) have been collectively protected as a National Historic Site since 1944.
