Ōtaka Castle

Ōdaka Station (大高駅, Ōdaka-eki) is a railway station in Midori-ku, Nagoya, Japan, operated by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Tōkai).

The Siege of Marune (丸根砦の戦い) was a battle during the Sengoku period (16th century) of Japan. Marune was a frontier fortress in the possession of Oda Nobunaga. Matsudaira Motoyasu (who would later come to be known as Tokugawa Ieyasu) was at the time a forced retainer of the Imagawa, captured the fortress as part of the Imagawa advance that led to the fateful Battle of Okehazama in 1560. Throughout Motoyasu's siege of the castle, he and his men were not present at the Battle of Okehazama where Imagawa Yoshimoto was killed in Nobunaga's surprise assault. In this siege, Motoyasu made good use of concentrated arquebus fire. Later during the siege, Sakuma Morishige the commander of the fortress, was killed by a bullet.

Midori-ku (緑区, Midori-ku) is one of the 16 wards of the city of Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 October 2019, the ward had an estimated population of 247,475 and a population density of 6,528 persons per km2. The total area was 37.91 km2. It is the largest of the wards of Nagoya in terms of population.

Narumi Stadium (Japanese: 鳴海球場) was a baseball stadium in Nagoya, Japan. Narumi Stadium was one of the three stadiums which hosted the first professional season of Japanese baseball in 1936.The stadium primarily hosted the Nagoya Kinsho Army team, but the Chunichi Dragons also occasionally used the stadium between 1948 and 1954, especially in 1953, where the team was displaced after a fire at their other stadium. Before 1952, Japanese league teams typically did not have a designated stadium, instead playing in the general area in which they were based.

Hoshizaki Castle (Japanese: 星崎城, romanized: Hoshizaki-jō) was a Japanese castle in Hoshizaki (星崎) town, today a part of Minami-ku, Nagoya Japan.The origins of the castle, such as the date of construction, are unknown. The Okada family were in the beginning the lords of the castle. In the 16th century the Yamaguchi family succeeded them and held the castle for generations until it was abandoned by Yamaguchi Shigemasa, who moved in 1588.There was the Honmaru enceinte, along with the Ninomaru and Sannomaru. Connected to the complex was the Hoshimiya Shrine (星宮社), which also served as a lighthouse for the nearby sea.Today former parts of the castle are bisected by the Meitetsu railroad while another part houses the Kasadera school.A memorial stele out of stone marks the place where the castle used to stand. The area is served by the Moto Hoshizaki Station.

Arimatsu (有松町, Arimatsu-chō) is a town in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It houses the Arimatsu Station of the Meitetsu-Nagoya Line, roughly 11 kilometres (11,000 m) southeast of downtown Nagoya. The town merged into Nagoya on 1 December 1964, and became a part of Midori-ku, Nagoya.The town is known for being the location of the Battle of Okehazama in 1560, where Oda Nobunaga defeated Imagawa Yoshimoto and established himself as one of the front-running warlords in the Sengoku period. The town is also well-known for being the historical centre of shibori, or traditional Japanese tie-dye, and has supported the industry since the 17th century, dating back to 1608.

Minami-ku (南区, Minami-ku) is one of the 16 wards of the city of Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 October 2019, the ward had an estimated population of 136,015 and a population density of 7,368 persons per km². The total area was 18.46 km².
