Harmston railway station

North Kesteven was a rural district in Kesteven, Lincolnshire from 1931 to 1974. It was created in 1931 under a County Review Order, and was formed from the Branston Rural District, part of the Claypole Rural District and part of the Sleaford Rural District. It survived until 1974 when it was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, and merged with East Kesteven Rural District to form a larger district of North Kesteven.

Harmston is a village and civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated just west off the A607, and 5 miles (8 km) south from the city and county town of Lincoln. It sits on the Lincoln Cliff overlooking the River Witham valley.

The River Brant is a 14 mi-long (23 km) tributary of the River Witham that flows entirely in the county of Lincolnshire, in the east of England. In 1855 the River was described as follows;"Brant, a tributary of the Witham in the western part of the county of Lincoln. This small stream has its rise in several fine springs in the parish of Hough-on-the-Hill, and pursues its humble course in a northern direction, westward of a range of high land."

Waddington railway station was a station in Waddington, Lincolnshire which opened on 15 April 1867 but closed for passengers on 10 September 1962 and for freight in 1964. The line through the station remained open until 1965. The remaining buildings attributed to the Waddington Railway Station have been restored during the summer of 2010. These are located adjacent to the properties on Station Rd.

The Old English name was Earninga Strǣt (1012), named after a tribe called the Earningas, who inhabited a district later known as Armingford Hundred, around Arrington, Cambridgeshire, and Royston, Hertfordshire. "Armingford", and "Arrington" share the same Old English origin. The original Celtic and Roman names for the route remain unknown. It is also known as the Old North Road from London to where it joins the A1 Great North Road near Godmanchester.

The village is known for its association with RAF Waddington. At the 2001 Census Waddington had a population of 6,086, increasing to 6,122 at the 2011 census.

Royal Air Force Waddington otherwise known as RAF Waddington (IATA: WTN, ICAO: EGXW) is a Royal Air Force station located beside the village of Waddington, 4.2 miles (6.8 km) south of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, in England. The station is the RAF's Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) hub and is home to a fleet of aircraft composed of the Shadow R1, RC-135W Rivet Joint and operating base for the RAF's MQ-9 Reaper. Since October 2022, it has also been home to the RAF's Aerobatic Team the Red Arrows.

North Hykeham Priory was a priory in Lincolnshire, England. This priory is only mentioned in the Patent Roll of Edward IV, 1462, when it was granted to the college called 'God's House,' at Cambridge. It is not at present known to what foreign house it had belonged, nor if there was ever an actual priory there at all.

Bracebridge Low Fields is a suburb to the south of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. It is located directly to the south of the city, close to the boundary with North Kesteven and the village of Waddington. The suburb is also located northeast of North Hykeham, south of Bracebridge, and west of Bracebridge Heath. The suburb was likely built at some point in time around the 19th-20th century and primarily built for the workers at the former Bracebridge Ironworks. The suburb now forms one of Lincoln's largest estates and suburbs.

North Hykeham is a town and civil parish in the North Kesteven district, in the county of Lincolnshire, England. It forms part of the Lincoln Urban Area. The population of the town at the 2011 census was 13,884.
