Harmston is a village and civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated just west off the A607, and 5 miles (8 km) south from the city and county town of Lincoln. It sits on the Lincoln Cliff overlooking the River Witham valley.

Waddington is a village and civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, situated approximately 4 miles (6 km) south of Lincoln on the A607 Grantham Road. The village is known for its association with RAF Waddington. At the 2001 Census Waddington had a population of 6,086, increasing to 6,122 at the 2011 census.

North Kesteven was a rural district in Kesteven, Lincolnshire from 1931 to 1974. It was created in 1931 under a County Review Order, and was formed from the Branston Rural District, part of the Claypole Rural District and part of the Sleaford Rural District. It survived until 1974 when it was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, and merged with East Kesteven Rural District to form a larger district of North Kesteven.

Coleby is a village and civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated on the A607, and approximately 6 miles (10 km) south of Lincoln.

Royal Air Force Waddington otherwise known as RAF Waddington (IATA: WTN, ICAO: EGXW) is a Royal Air Force station located beside the village of Waddington, 4.2 miles (6.8 km) south of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, in England. The station is the RAF's Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) hub and is home to a fleet of aircraft composed of the Shadow R1, RC-135W Rivet Joint and operating base for the RAF's MQ-9 Reaper. Since October 2022, it has also been home to the RAF's Aerobatic Team the Red Arrows.

Harmston railway station was a station in Harmston, Lincolnshire on the Grantham and Lincoln railway line. It closed in 1962 but the line remained open until 1965.

Waddington railway station was a station in Waddington, Lincolnshire which opened on 15 April 1867 but closed for passengers on 10 September 1962 and for freight in 1964. The line through the station remained open until 1965. The remaining buildings attributed to the Waddington Railway Station have been restored during the summer of 2010. These are located adjacent to the properties on Station Rd.

North Kesteven is a local government district in Lincolnshire, England. The council is based in Sleaford. The district also contains the town of North Hykeham, which adjoins the neighbouring city of Lincoln, along with numerous villages and surrounding rural areas. The neighbouring districts are Lincoln, West Lindsey, East Lindsey, Boston, South Holland, South Kesteven and Newark and Sherwood.

Bracebridge Heath is a village and civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It is 2 miles (3 km) south of Lincoln and straddles the border with the Lincoln and North Kesteven district boundaries. It lies at the junction of two major roads the A15 to Sleaford and the A607 to Grantham. It was part of the Boothby Graffoe Wapentake in the Kesteven riding. The village is on top of Lincoln Cliff, overlooking Lincoln and the valley of the River Witham. The population of the civil parish at the 2001 census was 4,530, increasing to 5,656 at the 2011 census.

Dunston Pillar is a Grade II listed stone tower in Lincolnshire, England and a former 'land lighthouse'. It stands beside the A15 road approximately 6 miles (10 km) south of Lincoln near the junction of the B1178 (also known as Tower Lane), in the parish of Dunston, north of Sleaford.

The River Brant is a 14 mi-long (23 km) tributary of the River Witham that flows entirely in the county of Lincolnshire, in the east of England. In 1855 the River was described as follows;"Brant, a tributary of the Witham in the western part of the county of Lincoln. This small stream has its rise in several fine springs in the parish of Hough-on-the-Hill, and pursues its humble course in a northern direction, westward of a range of high land."

Bracebridge Low Fields is a suburb to the south of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. It is located directly to the south of the city, close to the boundary with North Kesteven and the village of Waddington. The suburb is also located northeast of North Hykeham, south of Bracebridge, and west of Bracebridge Heath. The suburb was likely built at some point in time around the 19th-20th century and primarily built for the workers at the former Bracebridge Ironworks. The suburb now forms one of Lincoln's largest estates and suburbs.
