Stade Louis II

Stade Louis II was a multi-use stadium in Fontvieille, Monaco. It was initially used as the stadium of AS Monaco FC matches. It was rebuilt and replaced by a new Stade Louis II in 1985. The capacity of the stadium was 12,000 spectators. In 1936, Prince Louis II of Monaco awarded Jean-Baptiste Pastor and his company J.B. Pastor & Fils, the commission to build the country's first football stadium. It was finished in 1939. The stadium hosted major professional boxing world title and non title fights from time to time; those include the Carlos Monzon versus Nino Benvenuti rematch, Monzon's rematch with Emile Griffith, Monzon's two classic fights with Rodrigo Valdes, Davey Moore versus Wilfredo Benitez, and the double knockout-ending classic between Lee Roy Murphy and Chisanda Mutti (won by Murphy), Other major fights have been held at the similarly named Stade Louis II.

Salle Gaston Médecin, or Salle Omnisports, is an indoor sports arena located in the Fontvieille district, within the Principality of Monaco. It is used to host basketball, volleyball, and handball games, judo and fencing matches, and weightlifting and gymnastics competitions. The arena is a part of the Stade Louis II multi-sports complex, and is owned by the Monaco-based multi-sports club AS Monaco. The capacity had been expanded to 4,090 seats in 2021 in order to be eligible to host Euroleague basketball games, and then further increased to 5,000 seats before the 2022 season.

Fontvieille (French pronunciation: [fɔ̃vjɛj]; Monégasque: Funtanaveya [fuŋtanaˈvɛja]) is the southernmost ward in the Principality of Monaco. It was developed by Italian engineer Gianfranco Gilardini and designed by architect Manfredi Nicoletti, between the 1970s and the 1990s.

The Fontvieille Park and the Princess Grace Rose Garden are two municipal parks in the Fontvieille district of Monaco. The parks are a combined 4 hectares (9.9 acres) in size, and are open daily from dawn to dusk.

The Museum of Stamps and Coins is located in the Fontvieille section of Monaco. It tells the postal history of the principality, and contains a display of Monegasque money dating to 1640. An elite philatelic club, the Club de Monte-Carlo, was established in 1999 and is headquartered at the museum. The club showcases rare material at the museum on a bi-annual basis.

Jardin Exotique (French pronunciation: [ʒaʁdɛ̃ ɛɡzɔtik]) is the westernmost ward in the Principality of Monaco. It is incorporated in the traditional quarter of La Condamine.

The Jardin Animalier de Monaco is a zoo located on the Esplanade Rainer III, in Monaco's Fontvieille ward, on the southern side of the Rock of Monaco. It was established by Rainier III, Prince of Monaco in 1954. 250 animals are held in the zoo, representing some 50 species.The zoo is a hectare in size, set over four levels on the rock. None of the animals were purchased; all have come from donations, circuses, or abandoned animals and those seized by circuses. Five animals came to the zoo after the 2009 closure of the zoo at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.The zoo formerly contained leopards, but these were released into the wild due to the efforts of campaigner Virginia McKenna, founder of the Born Free Foundation. The two leopards, Pitou and Sirius, had been kept in a five-meter enclosure with a concrete floor. McKenna had previously visited Monaco nine times in an attempt to petition Prince Rainier for the animal's release, she was finally granted a royal audience with Prince Albert after his ascension to the Monegasque throne in 2005. Albert agreed to release the leopards to Born Free, with a promise to release the camel and hippo in the zoo at a later date. Albert also promised to turn the Zoological Gardens into a petting zoo.

The Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology is located within the Jardin Exotique de Monaco. It was opened in 1902 and contains a collection of fossils and other excavated artifacts relating to the prehistory of Monaco and areas nearby.
